Wintersmiths Avaliações

Loved their existing products so thought I was safe backing such an amazing company’s kickstarter for their Juniper ice machine. Now years later they have my money and I’ve never once seen a functioning ice machine from WinterSmith. Thus they stole my money and I will happily tell everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

signed up for a Juniper Clear Ice Maker 3 years ago last update was 2 months ago and they are still no where near being able to deliver a working product. They have taken almost a million dollars from people for this product and still taking orders online, yet they have not delivered one.

I bought a Phantom Ice Maker and some molds for it.

They arrived in a box. There was some bubble wrap around the ice maker, but otherwise it's only secured by the rubber molds.

I found a small dent at the bottom corner of the Ice Marker, which creates a small downwards protrusion causes it be slightly off balance. It still produces clear ice, as advertised, but it sucks to have brand new purchases damaged, especially since the damage was preventable (assuming it a bump during shipping).

I also worry that this damage could affect long term durability. The Ice Maker is effectively a large Thermal flask. Thermal flasks lose their thermal isolation properties if their internal seal is broken and deformation is one of the ways it happens.
