From my first dealings with, initially, Kathryn Davis, then, for the rest of the publishing of my memoir, 'The Academy', with Brian as my contact enabler & advisor, I had my book, any questions I had on the publishing process, fielded very civilly, professionally, humanely and with humour. Writer Cosmos, in the person of Brian, were always available via email or telephone, guiding me through the whole process from my corrections to my ms. being successively updated right through to my final selfverification with Amazon, which can be complicated. I would unreservedly recommend WriterCosmos , with dedicated staff such as Brian , to any aspiring author.

Oh! how wonderful. I have no words to explain my experience with this team at Writercosmos. to say the least, I was thrilled, overjoyed and surprised. How can all these nice people be found inside the same company. First I Janet. and then she introduced me to Alex and then the rest of the crew members behind the scene. It was like a competition one wants to out nice the other as I meet them. When I say that they are nice, I am serious about it. It is my first time, I did not no anything about writing and they took me in, and helped me publish a book. I never thought that I can publish a book in this life time. Janet, Alex and the crew members, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Remain blessed.

Writer Cosmos have been amazing at bringing my book to life. It was a massive leap for myself to trust a company on the otherside of the world in realising my story. They kept me updated with weekly updates sending the pages across for me to read and sign off. Attention to detail and taking notes from myself ensuring it is kept to the truth, they listened and took on-board everything this book was about. I cannot recommend them enough they have been fantastic

Janet Millar and her team are exceptional in their work. They pay attention to what I want and no matter how many alterations I make in my MS it is not a problem for them. The cover design is superb, eyecatching and pertinent to the book content and the editing was absolutely spot on. I thoroughly recommend WriterCosmos to everyone who is thinking of self-publishing.

I entered into an agreement with Writer Cosmos in good faith, expecting a professional publishing experience aligned with what was presented in their package.

While initial communication was responsive, the process quickly became challenging, once I declined the upsell of additional services. The core issue was a consistent gap between what was communicated and what was ultimately delivered. This included concerns around editing quality, production consistency such as formatting, and alignment with the agreed scope of services.

Despite multiple attempts to clarify expectations and work collaboratively toward resolution, I found the process increasingly frustrating and time-consuming. At several points, additional services were suggested that I did not believe were part of the original agreement.

What is important to highlight—especially for first-time authors—is the emotional impact of this experience. The ongoing uncertainty, lack of alignment, and repeated friction created a level of strain that, at times, made me question whether to continue with the publishing process at all. For someone bringing a deeply personal manuscript to life, that kind of experience can be discouraging.

After a formal escalation process, identifying a breach of contract, Writer Cosmos did issue a full refund, which I have received. I appreciate that this matter was ultimately resolved from a financial standpoint.

That said, the experience required significant time, persistence, and careful documentation on my part.

My advice to others:

Ensure absolute clarity on what is included in your package before signing;
Get all commitments confirmed in writing;
Be cautious of post-agreement upselling for services you believed were already included; Stay within your budget and do not be lured in signing additional agreements that are vague and too good to be true;
Keep detailed records of all communications;
Be mindful not only of the financial investment, but also the emotional investment involved in the publishing journey.

For authors considering this path, due diligence upfront will save considerable time, stress, and frustration later.

They did what they said they would do.
It worked out great and I'm very pleased.
My book is doing very good indeed.

As an extension of my previous review: Writer Cosmos is always very communicative and helpful, particularly my project manager, Brian Wilson, who has served as an intermediary between me and everyone on the marketing team and everyone else involved in the production of my book, ensuring what I ask for makes it through and is fulfilled. Information is conveyed clearly, and a thorough job has been done on manuscript revisions. WC has also offered flexibility and discounts where these fit, and has been thoroughly worth the money. They have stuck with me for the past 14 months on my project and will continue to do so as I advance, with plans to take my book to many exciting new levels.

The personal touch was evident throughout. The feeling that I mattered beyond the contract was lovely to feel. The help I received when I ran into technical difficulties with author verification was outstanding. Hats off to Janet, Alex and the rest of the team! They will hear from me again next year.

After contacting WtiterCosmos, unlike similar publishers, they were pro-active straight away with showing how my manuscript would look with slight editing where needed. Based of a draught of the first few paragraphs.

Janet was always available by email to assist me and work as the link between me and the editing team.

The editing team, I believe led by James, took on board all of my own suggestions without delay.

Overall, my experience working with them was very satisfying, and I am pleased with the final outcome of my manuscript that is now ready for publication.

I thought there might be a language barrier. I speak Southern US. Being my first book, I was sometimes lost to the reality of what makes a quality book. Brian Wilson did an excellent job in guiding me. To have the best book, you must be patient. Brian kept me grounded and on track. I am pleased with the results from Janet and crew. They truly work together as a family unit ensuring one's instructions are carried out to the letter! I have had 3 books published and 1 at present being edited for future publication. Hence, my reason for continuing with Writercosmos in other books I have ready to be edited & published!

I am a normal working guy ,who started writing a few chapters for my friends on facebook ,and I thought hey why not get it published properly, I sent it away to writer cosmos to see what they thought , they loved it and said it had great potential , I had no confidence , and doubted my ability to write a book, people like me just don't write books,being honest , i did not have a clue how to start.
Brian Wilson my publisher ,(just saying that sounds great!!) reassured me all through my journey , there were times I felt I had bit off more than i could chew, But Brian, kept telling me not to stress , and let the experts sort things . I had a dispute with these guys, but someone higher up the ladder made it right and treated me fairly.

My advice to all independent authors is to know what you need for your book. Listen to all the youtubes on book marketing you can find, then chart your course and be sure the publisher you pick, has a business model that matches what you need.
