NOT true vintage
Not true vintage - don’t be fooled. Bought a hat and it was said to be from the 90s but all it is, is a new hat with old school style stitching. Stop deceiving your customers saying it’s a VG+ and from the 90s. Also spent extra for delivery and it took 3 weeks to arrive when it says 3-5 days. I spent ~£45 for a fake hat. Could not return as it was a gift and it arrived a day before their birthday.
EDIT - just see the same product I purchased, reappear on their site for sale. Need I say more?

Sent damaged goods - no return!! Do not buy!
Sent me a polo shirt with bleach marks on the sleeve and hole in the middle of the front of the shirt it was a Christmas present so embarrassing for the person receiving, wouldn’t let me return, overall poor customer service and general experience do not waste you’re money

I’m sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience, and I’d like to clarify what happened for full transparency.
On December 29th, I received an email from Julie Wilkinson regarding the item referenced in your review. I immediately apologised for missing the minor defects and confirmed that a return was absolutely fine. I then provided full return instructions, including how to send the item back for a refund.
Later that same day, Julie replied to explain that the swing tag had been removed, as the item was intended as a Christmas gift. As clearly stated in our returns policy (and noted on the swing tag itself) items must have the swing tag attached to be eligible for a refund. Once the tag is removed, we’re unable to issue a refund, as we cannot verify whether damage occurred after purchase.
That said, despite the refund no longer being valid, I offered a return for store credit as a goodwill gesture. Unfortunately, this offer was not accepted, and I did not receive any further response to my email.
I take great pride in my small business and my customer service. All customer emails are responded to by me within 24 hours, and all orders are fulfilled within 24 hours of purchase (Monday to Friday). Looking at your order form, you placed an order with us on December 17th, and it was delivered successfully the following day by Royal Mail. At no point was there a delay or lack of communication on my part.
While I understand that store credit may not have been the preferred outcome, I respectfully disagree with the claims of poor customer service. I did everything possible to resolve the situation fairly and professionally, within the boundaries of our returns policy.
As a small business run independently, feedback like this is disheartening when it does not accurately reflect the service provided. I remain committed to delivering high standards of customer care and handling issues promptly and transparently.

Item was clearly fake- poor stitching, weird boxy fit, terrible quality cotton. Returned for a refund but had to pay my own packaging and their packaging to send it to me. Recommend not buying YSL T Shirts, they’re chancing it.

BEWARE!!! lack of support and faulty clothes
Poor Quality & No Support
I want to share my experience so others don’t go through the same disappointment I did with 97th Vintage. I ordered a jacket (Order No. 48166) that looked great online, but the zipper broke after wearing it once. Not after months of use, not after heavy wear — literally after the first time.
When I reached out to the company, I explained clearly that under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. A zipper breaking immediately is neither. Two independent tailors confirmed the only fix was replacing the pull tab with a plain one, which ruins both the design and the function.
I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable — just that they cover the cost of repair. Instead, they ignored my last email completely. That silence says everything about how they treat customers when something goes wrong.
If you’re thinking of buying from 97th Vintage, please be aware: you’re taking a risk. The item you receive may look good, but if it fails straight away, don’t expect support or accountability. For me, this was a waste of money and trust.
Verdict: Stylish marketing, but no substance behind it. I won’t be shopping here again, and I’d urge others to think twice before placing an order.

I am very sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience shopping with my small business, and I would like to clarify the situation.
As confirmed in our email correspondence on December 3rd, the jacket was sold in very good condition with no defects noted at the time of sale, including a fully functioning zipper. The item was inspected prior to dispatch and was not sold with any damage.
In your initial email received on December 3rd, you confirmed that the jacket was worn after delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept liability for any damage or defects that occur after an item has been delivered and worn, as it was not sold in that condition. For this reason, we cannot be held responsible for the zipper issue that you have mentioned.
I also want to highlight that all emails were responded to within 24 hours and delivery was completed ahead of schedule. The only concern raised occurred after the jacket had been worn.
While I totally understand your frustration, I feel that a 1 star review does not fairly reflect the service provided or the condition in which the item was sold. As a small business, my team and I work hard to ensure full transparency when it comes to the condition of our preloved items, prompt communication, and timely delivery, and we believe these standards were met in this transaction.
I have followed up with you via email to better understand how you would like us to proceed. We are happy to continue the conversation there and take things from that point.

Reliable service, great quality coat.
Never heard of this shop before, my son wanted a coat and found a good deal for a particular one on there. Was posted on the Monday and arrived on the Wednesday. Will shop here again!

Very reasonable price I thought for a great looking YSL jumper. Not seen anywhere else on the internet. This jumper will never look out of fashion! Had to wait a while for the item but you have to understand a lot of stock on 97th Vintage is hard to find so you accept you might have to wait a bit longer for delivery. All round great service. Would recommend and use again.
