I cannot get an ex-spouse removed as a beneficiary. It has taken multiple requests, phone calls. letters etc...these people are 100% incompetent. Alight should go out of business.

Don't trust 'OUR' Portal.
I am a customer and they tell you everything must be completed on the portal. I have had to complete everything via paperwork and have it notarized each and every time.
Today I was told by a representative not to trust the portal as it doesn't get updated. Paperwork takes 48 - 72 hrs to process and it's best to call in at 48 hrs and open a ticket to get things moving. Then call back 24 hrs later for a status.
Siloed Departments and Unempowered Reps
The departments do not share information; I spent an hour on the phone getting an address update only to find out it was completed on 401(k) but not on pension services. Then called back, went through verification process again as the POA, which was approved but somehow not communicated...another 45 minutes and was hung up upon. Called back again and was told to "watch my tone" by the rep. I was admittedly not overly sweet but certainly was not swearing or being abusive. Still have not accomplished what I needed.
Patience and Luck needed to attempt to resolve issues
No Way to efficiently resolve an issue THEY created by not processing an FSA claim. A giant corporation such as BAE Systems US has "provided" this horrible card for HSA and FSA purchases. There is no number or email of any communication as you need to login and go through the same 10-15 minutes of automated robot Q&A just to attempt to get a representative that will not tell you anything other than it takes 60 days. How is it that the organization that creates an issue of how a health claim is paid but can't seem to address it within a reasonable timeframe and without any communication to the status of the disputed charge and how it was paid.
pretty certain you don't have enough staff and that you are on corporate welfare because Alight.com (aka "smart choices" - ha!) is taking money for services for employee's FSA & HSA and do a horrendous job of being helpful. If you can't recognize a provider as being FSA vs HSA, then you should have a way to classify the charge before processing it in the wrong manner. Additionally, there is not much help from anyone that you speak to as you are told they are too busy, unavailable, and will have to call you back. It's a one way street. A service business with no service to the customers/employees who have to use their janky system for getting FSA, HSA funds paid out. If you want to transfer funds to a different/independant HSA provider, you will be charged a $25 fee to move your funds. Freaking ridiculous. What's worse than government agencies with no access to a person is a private sector company that benefits from companies that choose them for being a service provider and yet provides no service.
Borderline illegal
It is difficult to even give this company one star. Where do I start? As so many have said, their customer support is really bad. But the issue I find most troubling is that they bombarded me with denied transactions for the exact services that had been approved before. When I asked how the need for a detailed receipt was determined, i was told it was "random". It is not random if it is triggered for every payment I make, which was the case. This past year, I did not have time to gather the receipts and I am losing $680 hard-earned dollars for no reason at all. This is theft, no other way to describe it.
Avoid at all costs
Absolutely the worst service provider I have worked with in my entire career. No qualified staff and zero accountability. Avoid at all costs.

The worst customer service ever. I spoke with 3 people and no one could answer the question. I was taking money from my health account which I fully fund and they gave me such a problem that I just gave up. Avoid at all costs.

When filing for HSDA reimbursement I get "DENIED" with standard sentence.....It doesn't tell me what was missing for my correction!!
Thus I have spent over 2 &1/2 hours online with representative to CORRECT my DENIED reimbursement only to be given simple generic statement od "DENIED".
I would think after having asked my claim help be escalated it would have been correct!!--NOT
resubmitting AGAIN!!!
Absolutely horrendous to interact with
Absolutely horrendous to interact with. There's a mailbox center that supposedly has a document I need to download and sign. That mailbox link continues to give me an error when I try to access. There is no one that can help after waiting through a confusing phone menu. I've scheduled two appointments to speak with a representative and wasted what feels like hours on a task that should have taken seconds to complete.
Unprofessional is not a strong enough word for this company
My husband, aged 72, soon to be 73, is trying to get his defined benefit retirement funds started per the law. It has been a complete nightmare. First off, apparently this disorganized company thinks it is 1986 and everything is snail mail. Someone needs to show these morons that FAX machines exist! I realize it would be like showing a caveman fire but, ironically, TWICE, our paperwork has been lost in the U.S. mail. They, themselves admit that they can't control the U.S. Mail system! Well DUH! We keep getting different stories from each person we speak to and I lost count of how many phone calls we have made. TRUST our reviews, all of these one star reviews are honest reviews of real people who are struggling to do business with this God-Awful corporation. There are misprints on the paperwork, how UNPROFESSIONAL! Dates are wrong but they tell us these are legal documents, with THEIR misprints! The papers we were sent to have notarized were deemed illegal in our state and an addendum had to be added to make them legal. I am not sure why the company we worked for picked this place, but they need to really go back to the drawing board and find a REPUTABLE company rather than this horse and pony show.
This company is a nightmare
This company is a nightmare. We have been fighting them for over a month to get a 401k medical hardship withdrawal. Our child had surgery and after insurance we still owe around $15k. Every time we submit they deny our claim for some ridiculous reason, then they make us resubmit all the bills again correcting whatever "error" they claim is happening. THEN, they deny it again for a new reason that somehow wasn't an issue before. We just got denied AGAIN for the 5th time. The reps are completely rude when you call and don't want to help you. First they blamed the employer's rules, then the IRS, then the employer again. I tried explaining to them that I don't have $15k and need to pay these bills but they just don't care. I would never recommend them.

The company is extorting me
Cigna has hired this company to administer their insurance benefits. They have refused to send me a bill that details what insurance I am paying for and for what dates. When I requested that my coverage be cancelled, they refused to cancel my coverage and stated the only way I could cancel my coverage was to not pay for a period of time and then it would be cancelled to the last paid date. They requested payment for 2 months and said I had to pay this for only 1 month of coverage and that they would refund in some undetermined way, the of the extra 1 month of payment which is over one thousand dollars. I have asked Cigna to step in and help, given this is their hire, and they have refused to do this. This is clearly a corrupt situation, with this company benefiting from getting as much money out of the clients as possible with their fraudulent billing practices. They are basically committing extortion at this point, withholding or denying insurance coverage for one month unless 1 pay for 2 months and refusing to send an appropriate bill.

The worst leave Experience ever dealing with them.The wait time to get anyone is ridiculous.They don't know what they are doing they have caused me to be terminated from my job,filed leave paperwork and some Rep chose to input a date of her own not what I requested and not what my Dr had on the paperwork and it was denied tried for a month to get it corrected and it just sat in space somewhere while the so call Case Mgr decides to call after I escalated a complaint after 14 calls and hrs on hold,she calls and says she had covid and approves it,meanwhile they have no communication with the employer and they terminate me saying I voluntarily quit!! This has been an absolute nightmare.Anyone using this company make sure you keep your paperwork,write down who you spoke to etc.Im pursuing legal action.Nonesense went on from 9/26/ until current 2/25

If I could make a negative star review I would. Hra claim denied. When told document needed to be completed went line by line thru my submitted docs and their form and all the info was provided on my docs. A "manager" refused to do anything other than demand their form be filled out and deny my claim. This company is incompetent and completely worthless other than to deny my claim and keep my money. They are a joke.

I have made multiple attempts to get answers regarding my enhanced cash balance, calling in December, January, and February. Each time, I have been unable to reach someone who can provide clear information.
The process has been extremely time-consuming, with long delays in reaching a representative. Today, I was told there were 23 people ahead of me and to expect a callback, which never came. It is unacceptable for a company handling retirement accounts to have representatives who cannot answer essential questions.
The couple of representatives that I did speak to could not answer the questions told me they would research the answers and call me back I kid you not called me back and said they'd have to call me back again which took 3 days to get the call back.

Besides the representatives sounding mostly uneducated and incompetent, I can't get past their stupid answering system. They ask for too much info and verification. Too damn wordy and slow. Biometrics never work. Text message never works. Like most voice recognition systems, they don't understand what you're saying. Extremely frustrating and time wasting. Employers should not use this company.
Alight Retiree Solutions for the Ohio…
Alight Retiree Solutions for the Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund is a company that has to be the prime example of a company that can impress others to hire them, but delivers the most disgusting customer services to those they were hired to serve. Customer support is non-existent most times or completely lacking in any meaningful way. The website has no helpful information on it, it is almost never up to date. I have call them because the do not list my coverage that I obtained by going through their site. And when the coverage is listed it is usually outdated.

Raytheon switched from the awesome Fidelity 401k to this CF and I estimate I've lost a potential gain of 15%. That doesn't sound like much until I put a number to it, that's $150,000......
I can only assume that there was a tremendous financial benefit to RTX to permit their employees to be shafted like this. I waited too long to change but this summer I'll be rolling my entire 401k back to Fidelity, screw the company match.
