When we vent to pic up our car, it turned out that We had to pay ekstra for the delivery in another place than the pic up. When booking at there web page, they did not tell us the total price of the rent. Yes it said that ekstra fees may be charged in the terms and condition, but were i come from the price should be told from the beginning. And by the way. To rent the car for 2 days they filled the car with gaz for 90€. In a ford fiesta.... Not a place i would recommend to rent a car again!!

I've booked car rental through Amigo Autos in Alicante, Malaga and Madrid since 2004 and never found better prices!
Their services has been flawless for over 10 years!
I use Auto Amigo regularly and it is one of the search sites which regularly returns a very competitive quote.
It is to be noted that I did have some problems with my booking in-so-far as the information required has now been changed to include passport number. Note that the following field 'Expiry Date' refers to the credit card, not the passport. It took me several attempts to book to realise this fact!
Although well happy with the price, no mention was made of the fact that this company is only an agent for, among others, Dickmans. As I have had a running battle with a previous car hire agency where a car was hired from Dickmans and the 600 euro deposit I paid for not taking the rip off hire company daily insurance was not returned to my account for three months, then I asked AmigoAutos to book me with anyone other than Dickmans (incidentally I have had numerous hire cars fom Dickmans in the past without any problems at all) AmigoAutos seemingly could not get a hire car elsewhere so have sent me an email giving me my deposit back. As this is a satisfactory result then o.k. For AmigoAutos.

Their service would have been quick if they had kept at the job rather than having chats among themselves. The collect full bring back empty was the greatest rip off I have ever seen, I would have preferred get full drop off full. The car was nice, we got what we asked for. Over all they know how to get the most money from their customers, other than that it went smoothly.
Logging in is tedious with a very poor calander selection process. There was a very limited car selection for Madrid Airport which was very dissapointing. The car hire company was GOLDCAR. (REMEMBER TO NEVER USE THEM) Having now picked up the car after waiting for almost 50 minutes to be processed I was charged €118 for a full tank of petrol. (The most I could get in from almost empty was €58.) I had my own insurance excess cover and did not avail of GOLDCAR which is extorsion. They almost threw the keys at me when I refused their insurance. The car was perfect. I had asked the car attendant to check the Booking form for marks on the car. He told me he had already done so and it was fine. When I returned the car 2 weeks later undamaged, they were furious with me for taking the car without it being signed out. Their problem!! NEVER EVER AGAIN. I just checked my Bank a/c and only got a €10 refund for a 1/4 tank of fuel when I returned the car and not 1/4 of €118 = €29. This just confirms the rip off this company gets away with.
This was a nightmare hire. Arrived at Palma airport and had to wait for a second van to pick me up and take me to OK rent a car which is offsite. When I arrived at the office there were probably 30 to 40 people waiting to collect cars. It was taking on average 15minutes to process each one and 4 ladies doing it. Do the math - yes I was there over 2 hours half the time in the sun outside. Then to rub salt into the sweat as I had opted to take Amigo's insurance I had to pay 600 euro deposit for the car. I await to see how much hassle it is to get it all back. The only good thing is they gave me BMW X3 instead of an A1. The ladies were nice enough I have to say but the paperwork system sucks. Never again. If you are going to hire a car in Palma use one of the guys based at the airport and don't buy others insurance!

Telephone booking - the rep took plenty of time to thoroughly explain. Goldcar was the supplier with excellent service at both ends of the journey. Easily accesible at Alicante airport. Great value for money. Some of the reviews complained about various aspects of the service but if you fully understand and read the detail there are no surprises. I did have to wait for my refund on Full Full fuel agreement. This took about 5 days to be credited direct onto card.

I had to hire a car at short notice as a friend was unable to pick us up from the airport. Your part of booking online was great, and it was easy to book and simple to understand. It would have been useful to know however what I had in store with dealing with Goldcar. Every dealing seemed to have a hidden charge, and though I expected the one way fee, the rest were all nasty surprises. I can honestly say I really never want to rent a car again.
