This can of paint was very thick, clumpy, and left heavy brush marks. I used a soft brush. I ended up sanding the whole table down and starting again with different paint. I've successfully painted with chalk paint many times before without any issue. I wonder if it was because the weather at the time of shipping was below freezing?

I was a chalk paint virgin and although I've done a lot of painting in my life. I was a little nervous.
I watched lots of YouTube videos, especially DIY Deanna, and then started. It went better than I expected and I am pleased with my first piece.
I used Whistler gray and clear paste wax on an old headboard. It took less than a third of the liter of paint, but the entire can of paste wax. I used the chalk paint brush and I think it helped, I did the ever which way, but mostly diagonals, and I like the pattern. I did very little distressing, I can always add more...

Livraison rapide. Tous les contenants sont super bien emballés. C’etait ma première expérience avec la chalk paint et j’ai adoré. Il faut par contre se familiariser avec le fait que la peinture sèche très rapidement, donc il ne faut pas repasser souvent sur la peinture déjà appliquée. J’ai quand même obtenu de bons resultats avec la couleur old white et french linen.
