My son done the retest course, didn’t wait long at all for a test date to come up!
The instructor Tony (Canvey island) was a really nice guy and got my son the pass he deserved, recommend this company as both my boys have passed with them now, thank you.

A Pass 4 U Driving School are a very professional Co who always put safety 1st. Many of the negative reviews on this site are from pupils where the driving instructor has stopped the learner from going for test when they are not ready/safe after booking the wrong driving course, I think you would agree its the sensible thing to do. Brilliant.

i used john ward as my driving instructor and he was brilliant, easy to get along with and he understood my learning methods.
i done my first practical test with someone else, but my second test with john and passed couldn’t be happier!!

Highly recommend A Pass 4 U. My son and daughter had Ben H & Ben S and both were outstanding instructors. Very patient, especially with my nervous daughter. The office were also very helpful at getting tests through fast. I would highly recommend and a big thank you to both Bens for such professional and caring tuition

I honestly cannot thank Mike from Apass4u enough! After years of trying to pass I finally did it after just 14 hours with him! He gave me the confidence I needed and made such a huge difference to my driving. Mike is such a genuine, lovely man who made me feel calm and comfortable throughout every lesson. I would highly recommend him to anyone! - an amazing instructor! I will forever be grateful! Thankyou :)

Passed first time, my instructor was excellent and I found the process of booking really straight forward

Avoid. Signed up for the 8-day intensive driving course for close to £2000, only to complete this and be told that there is not an available test for 6 months. Booked this in February, with the next available test being in August. Had to chase for extra lessons leading up to this date - with hardly any further correspondence, or it seems any availability for instructors - only to be told that there was no such test, and that I could wait for a cancellation (which I had been doing, apparently, since February), with the next available date being in December. I was then told there was in fact a date in August, but that I would have to spend a further £400 on lessons before being able to undertake this, only to be told by this second instructor, that it'd been left too long between this initial set of intensive lessons and the secondary ones, to be test-ready, even though I had tried to get further lessons, but no instructors from APass4U - seemingly - were available.

I recently completed a 30-hour freeway course with APass4U and had the pleasure of learning with John Lawlor as my automatic driving instructor—and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. John is a fantastic teacher who really takes the time to understand how you learn best, and then adapts his teaching style to suit you.

He's incredibly patient, always full of useful hints and tips, and his encouraging, positive attitude made a huge difference to my confidence on the road. John creates a relaxed but focused learning environment, which helped me stay calm and make real progress each session.

Thanks to his excellent guidance, I passed my test first time—with zero faults! I genuinely couldn't recommend John enough to anyone looking to learn to drive with skill and confidence.

Can it be zero rating! Absolutely avoid. The driving instructor was rude and joked about winning lottery so that he did not need to teach me. Wrote a complaint email long time ago and never heard back. Days before the test and used teaching time to talk me out of it. Don’t waste your money and they are only use you as a cash cow.

I spend nearly 4000 pounds in cash,and on test day he took my mock test just one before that just driving on easy routes on 30 speed after test instructor even didn’t contact me about test errors he run like theft wastage of money, time

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Ive never left a review on anything before as its not in my nature , but I really don't want someone to make the same mistake as me. i am a student and had spent almost 3 years saving up for lessons and spent over £2000. As we know tests are not easy to come by alongside commuting here and from uni, so it made sense to go for an intensive course and get both a quick test and lessons in a week. My instructor constantly went on his phone while i was driving and took constant 'smoke breaks' and even took time out of my lessons to 'nip into the shop' it seemed unprofessional considering the amount of money and time put into it . Additionally had contact 'tea breaks' which were over an hour every day - thats about £50 worth of lessons every day over the course of a week?? Alongside this, after unfortunately failing my test, they PROMISED to get me another test soon. they didn't try, i would phone everyday and was promised by both the office and my instructor they would find me one before my theory ran out and it never happened - I DO NOT RECCOMEND. i thought this was just the experience of intensive courses - yet have since gone through another company whom ive had such a lovely experience with.

Complete Scam please stay away from them ! Travelled away from home for intensive course, first course I was told I wasn’t ready for test, I came back a months later to finish off, all we did was driving about not learning many manoeuvres at all. Got told again the test would be cancelled! I did some research with DLA my name wasn’t even booked for test on the two occasions ! They just took my money and just passed the time

My previous driving instructor gary has so kindly paid back the money he owed me from unused driving lessons he was very fast at returning the money into my bank account and very polite and helpful which I am extremely grateful to him for this

I was told five minutes before my test that I wasn’t going to be put in for it. However the instructor thought I would have been perfectly fine after only another five hours or so. It was highly implied that because I wasn’t a guarantee pass I wouldn’t be entered as it would go down as a fail for the instructor and the driving school, which would bring down their pass percentage.

My instructor advised me (extremely unethical behaviour) to book a GP appointment, lie and say I have a migraine so I can attempt to get my money back for my test. To further note on this subject he had just advised me that I will not be proceeding with the test five minutes before, I was completely taken a back and am left out of pocket by £68 (test fee) then further I should spend another £20 on wasting a nhs doctors time for a fake certificate.

I should have been told this information the day before, which could have given me the time to contact someone I know to use their car. Or at least cancelled the test which could have gone to someone else as a cancellation as it’s so hard to get a test.

On top of this I am still awaiting a response to an email of complaint sent five days ago.

Drove behind a Pass4u black VW today and was disgusted to see the person in the passenger seat throwing rubbish out of the window.

Pass4u I'm still awaiting for you to get back to me, as you said you would investigate my complaint after leaving an honest review on trust pilot..they also said they won't book my son for a 2nd test...because your mum gave a bad review....err an HONEST review I gave!!

Absolutely terrible experience my driver drove to and from Southend using all my hours had a break during my hours dropped me home early and picked up late and said I wasn’t test ready so couldn’t do my test maybe if I had had the hours I paid for and him. It drive I would have been test ready still awaiting new test but said they can’t unless I buy a new crash corse ! Waste of money have been emailing and no response do not use
