Balfes Gatwick always provide me with a gerat service on looking after multiple bikes. Dan Lakeman is a wealth of knowledge....i break my bikes and he fixes them in good time :)

We have had to bring our sons Commencal bike into the Crawley store 3 times over the past 2 weeks, all to do with issues from the assembly of the bike from the provider, nothing to do with Balfes, however the workshop staff have been amazing! They have gone above and beyond to accept the bike and carry out work to make the bike (2 months old!) bike worthy for a race my son was involved with. They have provided full summaries for me to pass on to Commencal regarding covering the costs but have also provided detailed verbal explanations to us. I cannot thank Ed and Nick enough for their support and expertise. We will of course continue to utilise their service.

I had done a little research about the right type of bike for me. Found the ideal bike and Balfe's was my nearest stockist. I asked if they had the one I wanted as it wasn't on display. They very kindly checked stock and they had one!! Hooray!! They agreed to build it for me to try. Sam, was amazing. Great service from start to finish. Easy to talk to, knowledgeable and they don't make you feel like an imbecile! Needless to say, I ended up buying it!! I went through the cycle to work scheme, which was also really easy and painless. Good range of bikes too.

Having purchased lots of bikes over the years from big on-line direct to customer suppliers to Local Bike Shops, this is up there. Smooth & slick buying experience from point of purchase to point of collection, highly recommended.

Generally OK on-line ordering procedure, but a couple of niggles. First, the website required "verification of my device" during the ordering process in order to use my Customer Rewards balance (of 69p), when I had already signed in to my account with my password. Second, the text telling me that my order was ready for collection said I should bring photo ID, which was not in fact required.

I’ve used Balfe’s for last couple of years to service my bike. Can’t fault the work they do. My bike has felt ‘new’ when I’ve got it back. Just one niggle though the last 2 occasions I’ve had to have things replaced and I have not been consulted before the parts have been fitted. I don’t begrudge the work being done as it’s been necessary BUT I would to like be consulted before it is done and a price has been given.Its a small niggle but needs to be said. Great work though, I will be returning.

The staff were so helpful and knowledgeable guiding us on electric bikes which we are new to. Sam was really helpful explaining our choices and Steve gave us exceptional customer care, both on the phone and in person when we collected our bikes. First class service

I've always had pleasant experiences with the staff at the Gatwick showroom - knowledgable, helpful and polite. There is a good range of products on display and a couple of times I've picked up bargains while perusing around the showroom.
Generally the prices are competitive.
