EBS Kos, really was one of the best experiences of my time so far! The staff were helpful from the get go, Lawrence and Agata were always there if there to help everyone out, the bar staff were absolutely amazing and made the whole course feel so welcome. The instructors were knowledgeable and experienced, they were willing to have fun with you but really dedicated their time to make sure you could pass. Overall I couldn’t say a bad thing about EBS Kos! Would highly recommend to anyone :) Wish I could do it all again

We took the one week Tiki course in Barcelona and it was a great experience! We learned a lot about the heart and soul of Tiki thanks to our enthusiastic, passionate and talented instructor who has a lot of knowledge on the subject. The course was really varied and dynamic. We made our own Tiki mugs, learned all about the history of Tiki, making syrups, infusing our own rum, mixing our own cocktails, and so much more. All this in a very relaxing atmosphere, while meeting lovely new people from all over the world. After class you get the chance to explore some of the best cocktails bars in Barcelona. We would recommend this course to anyone who is interested in Tiki and wants to go on a fantastic trip to the heart of it.

Incroyable expérience !

J'ai réalisé 1 mois de formation à l'EBS BARCELONA. Je n'avais pas forcément d'expérience au niveau des cocktails avant d'arriver là-bas, mais cette formation m'a tout appris. Les cours sont vraiment intéressants, les instructeurs géniaux, et le cadre de vie exceptionnelle avec le mélange de culture avec les autres élèves venant du monde entier ! Cela m'a permis de rencontrer beaucoup de personne et me faire des contacts professionnels. De plus le centre d'appel EBS est super, ils sont toujours à votre écoute au téléphone et toujours disponibles pour vous aider et répondre à vos questions.

I took my course in New Delhi, India. And I’m so glad that I choose EBS for building up my career. They have the best Manager and trainers, imported alcohol are also available for educational purposes. Worth every time and penny that I spend there.. Thank you EBS!

Es una experiencia única y enriquecedora en todos los sentidos, realmente es un ambiente lleno de camaradería, fiesta, disciplina y aprendizaje. Los instructores son increíbles tienen un equilibrio perfecto entre la exigencia, respeto y diversión.

Es war tatsächlich wie beschrieben. Man hat wahnsinns Freunde gefunden, es hat sich angefühlt wie eine Familie. Sicher war das Hostel eine kleine Herausforderung, aber selbst das hat nicht wirklich gestört. Der Kurs fordert einen heraus, doch jeder der Leidenschaft und/oder Interesse daran hat wird diesen Kurs lieben. Die Lehrer waren ein dremteam und hatten die perfekte Balance zwischen Theorie und Praxis und selbst in ihren Pausen und ihrer Freizeit immer ein offenes Ohr. Hier wird niemand hängen gelassen der Hilfe sucht. Ich würde es jederzeit wieder machen und hatte auch zusätzlich den Mixologykurs noch. Macht es! Traut euch!

The Barista course itself was great and our teacher Izabela was knowledgeable, i learned a lot. However the school and the surrounding circumstances were not really great. There was no one to greet us, welcome us or tell us where to go or where our course would happen on the first day. Then, because our room was between 2 bartender teaching rooms, people from the other courses always just walked into our classes to take or drop things from their courses, which i found disrespectful, because we had to be respectful of their space when they were doing exams. in the end, i had to chase up the support to get login details for the matchstaff platform, which should have been provided automatically. on top of that, i had additionally booked the accommodation for the course for 199Eur, but then needed to cancel it 2 weeks before the course started. this was not possible, and i was told i would have to pay a 300 Eur fine instead and no refund. This was ridiculous. A 50 Eur fine would have been reasonable, but a fine which is 150% of what was originally paid? For that reason my overall experience apart from the course itself, was not that great.

Gruppo coach fantastico. Andrea, Cesare, Cora e Luca super professionali ma ancor di più ho percepito calore umano che sprigionavano. È questo credo che faccia la differenza. Lo consiglio a tutte le fasce di età che orbitano nel mondo del bar.

I did the course in Amsterdam and I had the best time! The classes, the whole training process is intense but so worth it! I fell in love with bartending thanks to this course. A big thank you to everyone from EBS Amsterdam

The sales representatives are quick to take your money however really rubbish in responding.

Concernant EBS, je recommande à 100% cet organisme, en 2021 j'ai eu l'occasion de faire le cours de bartender à Kos et ça a été une expérience incroyable qui a débouchée sur l'obtention du diplôme qui m'a permit de trouver un job rapidement et aussi permit de travailler dans des endroits exceptionnel.

They managed to help me with all my questions before the course started, and helped me change the booking and date since I was sick and couldn't attend the scheduled course in London.
Very professional and managed to find a job in two weeks through their Job page.
I really recommend and it's the best investment I ever made.

An amazing experience. All of the EBS team are kind, funny and unquestionably experienced in cocktails and teaching. All skills I have learnt are easily applicable to working in real life cocktail bars.

Although the hostel is not amazing, it is no way a reflection on EBS. You do not have to stay in the hostel to attend the course. Personally I have found the hostel really enjoyable and a great place to meet other travelers.

1. Accommodation

I was booked into a tiny 4 bunks (8 sleeping places) hostel room. Mixed gender. No table, no chair, no en-suite shower or even en-suite toilet. No fridge, no microwave, no kitchen at all, no quiet lounge zone in the entire hostel. The only place to work&study is a bar filled with loud pop-music. No wonder by the middle of the third week everyone felt exhausted and had several flu symptoms.

Why not give customers some info and options in advance? I was ready to pay more!

2. School

That tiny basement was never designed for a large group like ours. Neither spatially, nor in terms of water and fresh air supply. With 43 humans inside the school looks nothing like that video in their Instagram, it’s living hell: it smells, it’s all moving elbows and trying to outshout each other.

3. Textbook.

About a half of it is just ads. Ads and more ads. Brands, personalias, products, extra courses, bars. Even the part all the students are supposed to learn by heart contains ads.

4. Stuff

Out of three teachers only one speaks native English and two others were constantly forgetting necessary words, switching to their mother tongues and asking students for translation, not even able to read the educational presentations correctly. Dividing liqueurs into generic and proprietary categories, not once was the teacher capable of pronouncing “proprietary” right, even after getting help from the group. And that’s only one of many mistakes. So if you want to work in the industry and sound professional, you’ll have to check every word, every sound and stress in a dictionary by yourself.

Teachers rolleye and groan loudly every time they have to answer an intercom and open a door, call their manager “stupid” in front oh the group, respond “shut up” on student’s jokes. Not in a funny context like “shut up and take my money”, no, it’s just a general atmosphere of complete burnout and lower class resentment.

And the manager is really stupid. One day I was asked if everything's alright and if I’d like to talk to her. Oh, they want to listen and improve, I hoped. Ha. Ha-ha-ha. I was lectured on how grateful I must feel for any accommodation at all like it’s some charity project for homeless ones.

5. Conclusion

This course might be a great lesson for your spoiled child: if a little c*nt whines about slightest discomfort and can’t resist power trips from time to time, send them into an EBS course to experience real discomfort and disrespect.

It’s also useful for those who are adamant about becoming a bartender. Some students just ignore all the trouble and practice to become professional. My respect! But can’t those devoted and talented kids gain the same skills somewhere else?

Anyway, if you’re just curious about drinking culture and industry, save your money, time and health.

Booked a course for my son some time ago. Last spring it was very easy to contact them and get information. Now I need to change the date of the course and it is impossible to get in touch. I tried to call several times with no answer. I sent an email, no contact back, are they still working?

Noone answers the phone.
I try several days with more than one hour each phonecall.
No no no, do not use this.

Bought a course from European Bartender School a month ago and never got access to it.
The company somehow does not respond my messages and don't send me a link to reset my password, apparently my login does not exist, although it existed when I made my payment.
I don't know about the content of their online course (because I've never had the chance), but I can say that my experience with the company has been really bad.

I did the course in “Paris”, first of all the location wasn’t even in Paris but Mointruel, which is like a 20 min at least metro ride from Paris city. It’s not the worst place Mointruel, but the living accommodation is literally in like the OUTSKIRTS of Mointruel. The course it self is all right, it’s a 30 min walk from the accommodation but there is buss options. Besides from half sexist (male) teachers and the humongous favoritism amongst the students and teachers, it was an alright experience the bartender education. It’s a lot of studying though, you have two written tests every day mon-fri.

Something that was a bit shocking or different from where I come from, is that they read your score/results from the day test out loud and will be very vocal (infront off everybody) if you did a bad job, they will even go so far and make jokes and making the person with low score feel quite awful or akward.

Long story short, if you are going to explore paris, don’t do this, it’s a waste of money, since there is so much studying it won’t leVe you much time to actually do something on the days, and the distance is so far it takes planning and what not. If you actually want to be a barman/bartender, sure it’s a decent education itself, but would not recommend the Paris one.

Also the house you live in if you chose to buy accommodation aswell is BAD you sleep in triple bunk beds that make sounds from the smalles movements. Also only two bathrooms for 30 ish people, it’s not clean, there was dust and stains here and there when I arrived.

Great experience! I lived together with other people taking the course in the heart of Barcelona. We learned a lot, drank a lot and had a great time :-)
