It was very easy, not complicated and if you are interested in anything like gym swimming etc you should definitely use better for sure.

The membership I was one was good value for money.. now for no good reason they discontinued that membership and put me on a expensive one.. not happy at all

Fantastic place to be
It’s really lovely place to visit and enjoy the time being there, particularly my kids did enjoy a lot and staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming .. I would say it’s a great place to learn many things.

The studio hasn't had electricity for…
The studio hasn't had electricity for almost two weeks. There is plenty of staff, and nobody takes responsibility.
The Locker with the token system is not usable at all. How can one access the locker multiple times? You have to spend multiple tokens for multiple accesses. Also, you have to carry the key all the time, which is big and doesn't fit on my wrist. It's not comfortable to wear that key at all. It should be like Atherton Centre, where you put your own lock.
Entry through the scanner only works once a day. What if you want to enter the gym again? Also, when I booked swimming for my daughter, it allowed entry only 10 minutes before. You should be able to enter at least 30 minutes early. 10 minutes are not enough to get kids ready with a swimsuit.
Also staff sitting at the reception are always rude. They don't treat even members as customers.

We're actively working on resolving the electricity problem and understand how frustrating it must be. We apologise for the inconvenience and are doing everything we can to restore normal operations as soon as possible.
Regarding the locker system, we completely understand your frustration. We're currently reviewing this to make it more user-friendly and ensure you can access the locker without multiple tokens or carrying a cumbersome key. Your suggestion to allow personal locks like the Atherton Centre is a great idea, and we'll look into that.
We also hear your concern about the entry scanner and the time restrictions for swimming bookings. We are reviewing the system to provide more flexibility and ensure that entry times and booking windows work better for families, especially when getting kids ready.
Lastly, we're really sorry to hear that you've had negative experiences with the reception staff. This is definitely not the standard we strive for, and we'll be addressing this internally to improve customer service and ensure a more welcoming atmosphere.

Place for unemployed people and…
Place for unemployed people and promoting to be unemployed. Adorable only for those on benefits. Groups and activities during the day hours. Working IMG people can not attend. Also working people are obligated to pay almost double the price of compare with those on benefits. So unfair.

Appraisal for East London Better Gym
Attended East London Better Gym after completing the long winded membership admin issues but have been extremely grateful for the staff & sessions I've participated in. Stuart was late on Sunday for Circuit Training unfortunately but made up for it in the session however yesterday's 1-1 induction update with Sang was insightful encouraging informative helpful & professional. Would definitely recommend him if you require advice on physical fitness. Thank you for your time.

Unclean, limited…
You have to pay for lockers which is unfair especially because they are absolutely filthy.
You should have move aqua aerobics available, especially evening classes.
The gym could benefit from a hip thrust machine.

Staff seem as if they are forced to doing their job with not approach attitude. A very friendly environment created by staff can bring happier work out for individuals.

Amazing swim teacher
My daughter swimming lesson was absolutely amazing, lovely and friendly staff, very professional swimming teachers.
However the facilities are lacking in cleaning, showers and locker rooms are in desperate need of upgrading. The family/ disabled showers are smelly and dirty.
Newham and Better together have to sort this out as a matter of urgency, these have been like this for ages.

Teachers were good, class was fantastic - but i think they recruited too many students for the session. They need to restrict number of intake per session.

Can someone explain this to me . Why was I told the profession boxing will be put back up last month once they find a solid wall by the manager. I spoke to costomer services they said to me it's up to the gym. I spoke to the lady manager on 24th. She told me that they are waiting for bloody head office to let them know an they also said its not a boxing club perthetic. SO WHO IS IT BLOODY UP TO. I PAY FOR THIS YOU NEED TO KEEP THE MEMBER YOU HAVE. THAT PLACE IS DEAD COMPARED TO WHAT IT WAS BACK IN THE DAY. YOU CALLD BETTER YOU JUST TAKEN IT OVER AND YOU MADE THINGS WORSE. Why do you people lie just be honest it's not hard

The lady i met at the desk when i first went to the centre was very helpful and to the guy who introduced me to the machines because i haven't use some of them for over 10yrs. So far no problem.

My original comment: Helpful agent on phone and helpful chap at Reception at East Ham Leisure Centre. But very disappointed to have to purchase a token for the locker, and also that locker can only be locked once.
I received a response to my above comment from Charmaine advising that the tokens can be reused however that is simply incorrect; the tokens for the lockers in the pool changing areas can definitely only be used once..!

I am sorry to hear that you were unaware of the charge for the lockers at our facilities however, the locker tokens are reusable so you should be able to use them for future visits to the centre.

Arriving as a new swimmer was…
Arriving as a new swimmer was confusing, we had no idea where to go to change..had no idea there were a dry/wet changing area. Didn't know i needed a coin for the lockers. ended up in the dry area only to move to the wet area afterwards.
Website said swim caps were available from the instructor, but none were available on the day. Once in the swim area there were no instructions on where new swimmers should be.

Does the manager have any brains
Does the manager have any brains . I went back to the gym on Saturday the fools removed the TRX , a proper boxing bag for a adult . And they put a boxing bag that is for a child. Plus I use the TRX as well the. I would bring my own TRX but I have known wear to hook it up. People have a workout plan in their head and when they get there the equipment as gone . They are stupid and they don't care I am so angry 😡
