i love my morning swim, Finchley Lido is clean, the receptionists are friendly, the 'system' works well, no complaints.

Great place
Very helpful and accommodating staff, felt valued. Also facilities are very good, good pricing and not to busy. Was a friendly. Low key, relaxing environment, everything I wanted and needed for my recuperation following my stroke in January.

The swimming pool is a good swimming…
The swimming pool is a good swimming pool, although it can become extremely busy when other activities occur. Facilities are limited and not always the cleanest, but okay. There is only one shower that is not communal. There is also no monitoring of the sauna and so it becomes extremely overcrowded and unsafe as a result. Staff are always super helpful and the children's pool is very good.

Could be better
I have attended three different exercise classes at two different gyms within Barnet and as a new person, the instructor has not asked if I have any physical issues or injuries that they should be aware of which I thought was standard and is something that I have been asked at other classes.
Also, after a cycle class, we were asked to wipe down the equipment but there was no tissue in two different dispensers meaning that it might suggest that people are not able to wipe down other equipment too.
Whilst attending the cycle class, the first and second bikes I tried did not work, which was disappointing and perhaps these should be removed, fixed or at least a sign on them saying out of order.
So far, my experience has been ok and hope it will improve.

Overall a good gym
Overall a good gym. However, three points to improve:
1- Half of the changing room is closed at about 7pm which makes it inconvenient for anyone who uses the gym after 7pm.
2- Also the day-time sauna hours is limited and finishes at 12. Ideally, it could continue till the evening time starts. Or at least it could continue till 1pm.
3- Some of the devices need servicing.

i can never get a class people book every class and they cancel last minute. people need to be less selfish.

Thank you for your feedback!
We appreciate how disappointing it is when classes appear fully booked and then spaces open up too late to you.
To help manage this, we advise members to cancel a minimum of 4 hours before the booking is due to start, to prevent receiving a penalty fee, and to enable others whop missed the booking to join.
If you’re able to, we’d also recommend joining the waiting list, as spaces can also become available before the day.
We appreciate you raising this with us!

For the most part excellent
For the most part the staff are excellent, especially the young lady on reception - sorry I have forgotten her name. But she was so helpful and patient when I rejoined. The gym is clean and tidy with plenty of equipment- but it can become busy. There are many fitness classes to choose from but again there is a lot of demand so it can be difficult to get into them. Very reasonably priced. On the whole happy with it.
