Very good and safe place
Very good and safe place . Bit busy in evening time as working adults can only come in on that time. Also booking slot system can be improved for the membership holder.

Elise has been a fantastic swimming teacher..
Elise has been a fantastic swimming teacher. I’ve only just started my lessons with her, but she has been friendly, patient, and encouraging from the very beginning. She creates a comfortable learning environment and explains things clearly, which has helped build my confidence in the water. I’m really enjoying the lessons so far and hope they continue just as well in the future.

I am a new adult beginner to swimming…
I am a new adult beginner to swimming and my lessons with Elise has been do great and has helped me built confidence in swimming.
The trainer makes me comfortable to ask questions and holds me by the hand when I am less confident of myself with the encouragement of doing better I love having a teacher who believes I can be better and guides me through my journey of learning basic swimming skills.

The hatfield swim centre
The instructors are lovely, my boys teacher, a nice lady.she is kind and attentive to their needs, I wasn't too comfortable with how my daughter was learning, but she is getting the needed attention now.I think.My own instructor Ella, 😃sweet lady, she just goes,fantastic lovely, she is such a good teacher..😃😃

Outstanding SEND Swim Instruction
My son’s SEND swim instructor was incredible in his first session. She approached everything with such calmness and adapted beautifully to his needs. You could clearly see how experienced and inclusive she is, giving each child individual attention while making the lesson fun and engaging.

Poor booking and customer service
I like the steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Jacuzzi only one of two is working though. Don't like booking system. I booked health suite for women only Saturday for one hour, however men were coming in, and reception and staff was doing nothing about it even we all women were complaining. I have membership however staff want me to book facilities anyway. And for all people who has membership as well. So I will not extend the membership as I going to leisure centre when I have time as my schedule quite unpredictable.

We're really sorry to hear about your experience at Hatfield Swim Centre.
We've happily passed your feedback along to the centre regarding the ladies-only sessions and the jacuzzi.
Just to let you know, we manage bookings for activities like the health suite, swimming, and fitness classes because places can be limited. However, often, there are spaces available on the day, so you don’t always have to book if your schedule is changeable. Plus, we only have a 4-hour cancellation policy for any booked activities, allowing plenty of flexibility to cancel a session should your circumstances change.
We're sorry to hear you won’t be continuing your membership, but we truly appreciate your feedback and will definitely look into the points you raised.

Bad experiences in Hatfield swim…
Bad experiences in Hatfield swim centre. Broken equipment, long repair time, many times there is no hot water, dirty showers and environment.

From panicky to confident in the pool!
I joined Swim Doctor as someone who genuinely panicked in the water and couldn't do much at all. The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming that I felt at ease from the start. Elise is calm, patient, and really attentive — she breaks things down in a way that actually makes sense and builds your confidence step by step.
I've gone from barely managing in the water to confidently swimming a small lap, which feels like a huge achievement for me. I've still got a way to go, but I'm actually enjoying the journey now — something I never thought I'd say about swimming!
Highly recommend for anyone who's nervous about getting in the pool. You're in great hands.

Controlling the fear
All my life I had a big fear of water and being on my early 40s was even harder to deal with this fear.
I have been doing swimming lessons with Elise for over a month now and I can say that I am so impressed by her patience and professionalism.
Thanks to her dedication I now can swim and control my fear.

I have been doing Swim Doctor at Hatfield for just over a month, originally started with Elise and now being taught by Adela. both of them are extremely supportive & Patient, which has improved my confidence in the water. the lessons are well structured, starting with the basics and introducing more advanced skills such as breathing techniques and stroke improvements.
What I appreciated most was the encouraging environment. making sure I was given feedback and how I can improve. the lessons always started on time.
I will definitely recommend these swimming lessons to anyone looking to learn how to Swim or improve their technique. Its a great way to build confidence in the water while learning important skills in a supportive setting.

More frequency needed for the lessons
The swim lessons are conducted well. My issue is the frequency, lessons should be atleast 2-3 times a week not just once , especially for learning adults who have a lot to juggle as they can be able to learn quicker.

My son attends the SEND swimming…
My son attends the SEND swimming lessons and the difference in him since joining has been incredible. He has become so much more confident in the water and genuinely looks forward to every session.
Mae is absolutely amazing with all of the children. She has such patience and understanding, and it’s clear how much effort goes into supporting each child individually. The team always finds ways to tailor the lessons to each child’s needs while still encouraging them to grow and improve week by week.
My son hasn’t been this happy or confident in an activity before, and I’m so grateful to Mae and the whole team for creating such a supportive and positive environment for the children. It really means a lot to our family.

Amazing swim teachers.
Absolutely fantastic SEND swimming classes, Mae is amazing with my son providing a no pressure and play based swim lesson, Mae just gets it and is so knowledgeable. My son wanted to go back the next day after his swim lesson which speaks volumes. My son has also done 1 to 1 sessions with Elise and Gemma and I couldn't recommend the team enough.
