This is my local bike shop and I trust them entirely. I'm an old man with an old bike, but they are polite, attentive and professional. I'm very grateful to them for the service they provide and their friendly manner at all times. God bless them !

I recently had a bike fitting session with Andy, and it really exceeded my expectations. From the start, he took the time to understand my goals, any discomfort I had been experiencing, and my cycling history. His attention to detail was excellent, he didn't rush the process at all, and he made sure I understood why each adjustment was made. He spent the necessary time checking the bikes I was enquiring, which is much appreciated. Highly recommended and best money invested before getting your new bike.

I had a very good bike fit experience with Dan. The attention to detail and expertise were unlike what I've experienced in other bike fits. I came in with a lot of questions and concerns, which were all addressed. And to back it up, Dan was super friendly! Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience with Dan. This was an exceptionally thorough and high-quality bike fit, with a real focus on understanding the cause of my issues rather than just making basic position adjustments.

I had several long-standing problems that weren’t straightforward to solve, and Dan worked through them methodically and with great attention to detail. The result has made a huge difference and finally resolved issues I’d been dealing with for a long time.

I’d absolutely recommend him.

amazing company, super insightful & did an amazing job at getting me so much more comfortable on my bike!

Made to feel welcome and despite my rookie errors (which were quite unique and funny) Andy remained professional in his demeanour.

Measurements and fit were very thorough and all questions answered.

Definitely recommend booking a bicycle fit with them - and if you’re not sure do it before you buy a bike!

My bike fit with Dan was worth every penny. The difference in both comfort and power between my start and end positions was really quite significant. I originally scheduled the fit purely to improve comfort, the improved efficiency and power was a completely unexpected bonus. These guys clearly know their stuff!
The whole experience was excellent - friendly, efficient, informative, and not at all pushy when it came to new components - they are happy to provide any new bits you might need, but are just as happy for you to source them elsewhere and at your own timescale. Of course, if you don’t make the changes they recommend then you can’t expect to experience the improvements.
Oh, and they make great coffee too!

Thanks so much to James for my bike fit, I have been cycling for 2 years now and have had a couple of bike fits along the way. I kind of accepted that pain in the hands and particularly the saddle area was just because of time in the saddle. Pre my fit with James anything over 50km started to get pretty uncomfortable and on my new bike a few weeks back really uncomfortable over 80km. Since my fit just under 2 weeks ago I went out on a couple of tester rides all felt amazing and so sunday just gone went for 150km and literally felt super comfy the whole time and no pain the next day. GAME CHANGER!!! Thanks James legend!
Frank.

George was fantastic. Took the time to hear my issues and was very helpful solving my foot pain. Walked out with a lovely new pair of shoes which I rode 35miles today absolutely pain free. Hopefully these should last me plenty of years like my last pair.
Great service and knowledge.

Had my first ever bike fit with James at Bicycle. I already had high expectations given the company's reputation. Mine was a rare experience where the level of professionalism, customer care and tailoring to the individual far exceeded expectations. Hopefully the start of a long happy relationship.

2026 - Another excellent experience this time with George. Bike changed and significant physiology changes since initial fit ~6yrs ago. Some good adjustments in a number of places leading to a significant decrease in saddle pressure and hand pressure and knees now also track well. Additionally a really nice chap and a good experience all round. Thank you!

2020 - Excellent experience with James. Enjoyed the fit, good to see I wasn't going too far wrong but still some good tangible improvements. Managed to still keep a good experience despite COVID precautions. Very much recommended. Lastly top marks for the soundtrack and the coffee!

I can’t recommend Dan enough.

I came to Dan at bicycle. after struggling with my new Factor Ostro. From the first ride something just didn’t feel right. I had lower back pain, numb hands and I was starting to think I had made a mistake buying the bike.

Dan took his time and checked everything, not just the bike. He looked at my position, shoes, cleats and feet, and explained every change in a simple way so I understood why he was making them.

He recommended new shoes because my old ones were too tight, set up my G8 insoles properly and made a number of changes to my position.

The difference was unbelievable.

After my first proper ride, the bike finally felt exactly how I expected it to. It honestly feels like I’ve been riding it for years. My position feels great, I can produce power again and I even set a few new personal bests on my first ride after the fit.

The biggest thing Dan gave me was confidence. Before seeing him I wasn’t sure about the bike at all. Now I absolutely love riding it and I can’t wait for the next ride.

Dan is friendly, patient and really knows what he’s doing. He takes his time, listens and makes sure everything is right before you leave.

If you’re thinking about getting a bike fit, I highly recommend booking with Dan at bicycle. It was one of the best investments I’ve made for my cycling.

Thanks again, Dan!

James and the staff at Bicycle were nothing sort of excellent during my entire visit. I was warmly welcomed during the June heatwave, with the offer of an iced coffee on arrival.

During the 'fit' itself, James was meticulous at explaining everything as we went, making me feel completely at ease. Asking all the right questions, establishing my needs, my current issues, discomforts / niggles and asking what I wanted to achieve.

After a couple hours on and off the jig, I was now settled in a much improved, more comfortable position - every step of the way James interacted and checked how the changes made me feel on the bike and explained what we were doing.

Requiring multiple changes to my current bike, James then detailed the changes needed to match my new 'fit' to my bike. He then fitted my new 160mm cranks, inline seatpost, saddle and dropped my handlebars whilst I waited - no labour charge at all.

I honestly couldn't be more impressed and happy with my experience at Bicycle and would highly recommend.

An extremely thorough bike fit using all the latest technology, I really feel that this one is going to be the game changer. Denver was extremely knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble.

Certainly worth the money. I had the bike fit with Andy. Very interesting and knowledgeable. It was for sure a great experience.

Very professional bike fit, very patient and Andy really worked hard to find a bike that met my needs. Since I bought the bike I have asked for some additional help, and service by Andy and Eoin was excellent. I have just got bike into riding so my technical knowledge is very outdated - I really appreciate their patience and willingness to explain.

My third bike fit. Always a very professional service. The best in the business. Very detailed analysis and first class advice. I've been injury free cycling wise since my bike fits.

Had a fantastic bike fit session with James, made to feel at ease from the minute I walked into the premises by the wider team, coffee was good.

James took the time to explain everything that was being looked at and didnt try and blind you with science although things have certainly moved on from previous fit years ago.

The session went into things in detail and by the end had a very comfortable new position and tweaked bikes to go home with.

Thanks James, had a great afternoon.

I have just had a bike fit with Dan Coombes at “bicycle” Richmond. This bike fit service was recommended to me by a bike shop, and I was told it was the “Gold Standard” of bike fits. Dan certainly was that. Very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and just thoroughly likeable. He solved a lot of my problems and I highly appreciate everything he did for me. Nothing was too much trouble. I was so impressed that he set up my bike for me, and fitted a new saddle. He has ordered, and will fit some new handlebars for me, having put this on order. They have lots of different saddles and handlebars that you can try.
I can recommend these people if you want a bike fit of the highest quality.

I'd had a bike fit before, some years ago, but now that I'm in my 6th decade and recovered from health problems, I decided another one would be useful at this stage. Had come across Bikefit James on YT and his business isn't too far from my home, so made the appointment with his colleague, Dan.

The session was very detailed and similar to what I'd had before, but adjusted to the body I have now. I'm also 4'11 and have always struggled to find bikes that fit and ended up having to change various parts. Dan was amazing and I'm sure he's a wizard. Shorter cranks and wider shoes with orthotics were a (redacted) moment. My right leg immediately felt much better. Was a little sad to realise my 'old' saddle needed to make way for a different one, but it was for the best. Other changes were also made. The session took 3 hours, plus extra time to make changes to my bike, including narrower handlebars. After a few rides, I'll contact Dan to discuss my findings.

This was absolutely worth the cost and I have no regrets. Bike fits are very worthwhile and I'd say they are even more important for people below average height, like myself.
