The service was warm and attentive, and the food was delicious.

Perfect for a special dinner or a fun night out with friends.

London hyped rubbish

I have to be honest, I have been to Barbarella, Ave Mario, Gloria and Circolo Popolare (no choice of my own) and every time I have been so disappointed. You get roped in by the decor online, as well as 'influencers' who are just promoting what is popular, then when you get there it is completely underwhelming (aside Barbarella, they're aesthetic is pretty cool). Most of the time there is a separate seating area to what is advertised online. The food is so mid, each time I have tried something different and it is so bland, which some people may enjoy because its subjective, but for the price point... over £20 for pasta is criminal anyway, but if it was good I would accept it, however the blandness has been consistent the past 4 times I have been. I have to say the pistachio martini is absolutely lovely, but other than that, I wouldn't bother wasting your time or money, there are so many cool and authentic Italian restaurants out there without the big price tag, dont fall into the influencer and popularity trend

Nous avons été jeté du restaurant.
A peine fini de manger, on nous demande si on veut prendre un dessert. On nous débarrasse la table et les verres alors qu'on ne les a même pas terminé. Même pas le temps de réfléchir, on nous apporte l'addition. Lorsqu'on leur dit qu'on veut un dessert, on nous dit que ça n'est pas possible, que des gens attendent notre table...
Très décevant de terminer sur cette note.

Mon expérience concerne Pink Mamma, 20 rue de Douai du groupe Big Mamma.

"Je n’ai pas aimé la façon dont on m’a dit d’aller attendre dehors derrière le cordon « réservation » sans svp ni merci car le resto n’était pas ouvert !!! Et de refermer la porte derrière moi bruyamment. Il était 11:55h et j’avais réservé pour 12h. Je précise que la pluie avait commencé pour compléter le tableau ! Le restaurant a une déco originale, le serveur était très sympa et nous avons été servi rapidement mais franchement qu’est ce qui distingue ce resto d’un autre où on est mieux reçu et aussi bien servi pour au final une bonne facture !! Et attention la méthode « pourboire » où d’emblée vous pouvez être facturé de 5, 10 ou 15% alors que pas de pourboire est écrit en tout petit en haut dans le cas où vous vouliez laisser du cash plutôt (surtout quand on partage la facture à plusieurs) ça peut faire très cher

an absolute disorganization

they organised an interview with me, originally the interview was settle for Friday 14 February, on Thursday the day before they postponed the interview on Saturday, on Friday 14 they postponed again the interview for next week and i told them "fine for me i'm in holiday i got all the time you need" i recive a text from them on monday 17 telling me that they would Interview me on Wednesday 19, on Tuesday 18 recive another text telling me to postpone the interview on Thursday 20.
Finally Thursday 20 February came, i waited all morning so i decided to text them in the afternoon asking what time they would like to interview, never got an answer back
they texted me after 5 days without saying sorry, something, ANYTHING just saying "So are you still interested"? obviously i said no and then i have to even recive an email saying "that i wast select for the job for lack of experience"

Not worth it,

Place is lovely decorated and staff friendly that's it.
Kensington high street
Food choices on menu limited and pizza dry and boring too many onions on it. Toilets were a mess and dirty. Went to McDonald's after as still hungry. Better option is Circolo popular better options on food and value for money.

Big Mamma…big mistake!

Our children purchased a substantial voucher for us for Xmas. However we only spend about £100 average when we go there. The website states that each voucher has to be used in one go, which our children didn’t know when they purchased it!
I have emailed the Big Mamma team and after many reminders we eventually got a response stating they won’t exchange the voucher for smaller ones.
This is such a shame as it would cost them nothing to do so and we would like to continue using and recommending them to friends. However, if they do it honour our further request this will be the last visit there!

Do Better Ave Mario - it’s 2024!!!!

What’s going on Ave Mario Covent Garden? This was the second time my party of mainly Black and Indian women were placed at a table right at the back of the restaurant - on the same dark and dingy table in fact. Have your concierge team been told to put POC on this same table every time? I scanned the main restaurant and not one POC was seated in this area again, just white peiple. I arrived early for a joint special birthday celebration. We had requested when booking to be sat in the main restaurant. The staff greeted me with disdain, speaking in Italian first (how disgustingly rude) as if arguing about what table we’d be given. I was given this long rambling explanation as to why they couldn’t possibly seat us in the main restaurant. I left as the table wasn’t ready with the distinct feeling that we would be seated in what I can only be described as the worst table in the whole restaurant, away from everyone and with no lighting (it actually looked worst than the last time I was sat there).

I’d forgotten how disappointing it had been the last time to be sat there. I was the one who suggested to this group of friends that we go there as the food is so delicious. This time when they did indeed seat my group on this same terrible table I kicked up a fuss, no way, it’s our birthdays and I’m not having this happen especially as we passed empty tables along the way in the main restaurant where we could have been seated. The final straw was when a better table was filled with guests soon after us. I asked why did this group get that table over us - no acceptable answer was given so the manager was called.

We were reseated immediately in the main restaurant where funnily enough they suddenly had a table. We were quite prepared to withhold paying the service charge. I am bitterly disappointed that this kind of profiling is still happening in 2024 soon to be 2025. Our money is just as good as anyone else and we intend to spend it elsewhere from now on. Ave Mario you need to do better, this kind of racist and fascist stereotyping is unacceptable. It’s a pizzeria at the end of the day, get over yourself!!!

Food came long before drinks/water

Food came long before drinks/water. Some of the staff were quite rude not even trying to listen to what I was asking - just said it’s not them but another person. Dessert came right away after main course. No time for a pause. Waited long to pay. All in all - quite bad service. Not worth the hype- Pink Mama Paris

C ‘est du vol cache au depit du client

C ‘est du vol cache au depit du client, le serveur vous invite a paier avec l ‘app sauf que a la fin vous etes taxe’, sans q ‘on vous l’annonce, le patron gagne sur le temp de service de serveur. Les gagnants sont les patrons du resto e de l’app. Vous devrait avoir honte.

Aucun respect du client

Le mercredi je réserve au Bellezza pour le jeudi soir pour un dîner avec ma fille , qui habite sur Lille (je viens de Paris). Je reçois un mail de confirmation (voir photo).
J'arrive de Paris, nous nous rendons au restaurant à l'heure dite... et là on nous dit que nous n'avons pas de table !
Le pire n'est pas tant l'erreur du restaurant, c'est le total dédain avec lequel nous sommes traités : "c'est un bug, c'est comme ça, on n'a pas votre table".
Une erreur ça arrive et c'est acceptable, mais ce qui ne l'est pas c'est de traiter les clients avec un tel manque de respect.
Je recevrai d’ailleurs plus tard dans la soirée une annulation de ma réservation envoyée par le restaurant sans excuse !
Les clients ne sont rien pour ces gens ; ce n'est qu'une grosse machine commerciale.

Restaurant Libertino

Récit de ma soirée au Libertino

Pour commencer je précise que je suis noire, accompagnée d'une amie noire et que je suis enceinte de 6 mois ( précisions importantes pour la suite).

Nous avions une réservation pour 3 à 21, nous sommes arrivées à 21H27 donc bien en retard... la portière nous dit que la table n'est conservée que 15 min et que du coup notre réservation est perdue. Elle nous explique par la suite que nous pourrions nous mettre au comptoir...je lui dis que je suis enceinte de 6 mois et que ça va être trop inconfortable pour moi le comptoir.
Nous l'acceptons, nous sommes en retard et cela est de notre faute. Beaucoup de personnes sortent à ce moment là du restaurant et il y une file d'attente sur la droite, nous demandons donc à la portière si il est possible de se mettre dans la queue et d'attendre et là elle me répond que non car toutes ces personnes ont une réservation... Je m'approche de plusieurs groupes/couples différents en leur demandant s'ils ont une résa, ils me répondent tous que oui pour 21H45..... plot twist mais qu'ils l'ont fait tous il y a 5 min devant la porte du restaurant.
Nous étions les seules personnes noires devant la porte, la portière aurait pu nous signaler comme elle l'a fait pour les autres de refaire une résa pour plus tard, soit 15 min plus tard ou encore mieux nous trouver une place surtout avec une femme enceinte dans le groupe.
Bref nous ne pensions pas subir le Manko effect dans le 10ème arrondissement mais il faut dire que maintenant Paris by Night n'appartient qu'à un type de personne.
La portière n'a pas été sympa et c'est dommage de prendre le prétexte de notre retard pour nous refuser l'entrée.

Nice restaurant with delicious food - but no english menu!

My family and I went to Big Mamma's restaurant called "Pink Mamma" last week.
The food was amazing, we ordered some of their different pizzas and pasta. You could really fell that the chefs were really passionate about the food and put some work into it. The food also looked incredible.
We were so lucky that we were able to get a table on the top floor which was absolutely stunning.

The reason why I am only giving them four stars, and not five, is that they did not have an English menu which made it quite difficult to figure out what they offered. Our waiter did not speak English either so we had to sit and translate the menu ourselves which took some time. Our waiter seemed a bit like he did not really care about his job and was a bit too relaxed.

I would definitely recommend Pink Mamma if you are in Paris and hungry for some delicious Italian food, but be prepared to spend time on translating the menu if you cannot read French!
