Lowest of the low
In 2021, the energy ombudsman ruled against Scottish Power and instructed them to generate a correct bill (for energy consumed over three years ago). Rather than do this Scottish Power ignored the ombudsman and, some 18 months later, out of the blue, knowingly passed on the incorrect bill to LCS Collections. When I challenged LCS to show me the bill, they simply handed it back to Scottish Power, who in turn selected a less scrupulous debt collector - BPO Collections. You should hang your heads in shame. The back-billing rule is pretty straight forward but both you and Scottish Power choose to overlook it. You couldn't make it up.
SCAM
Different amounts I need to pay with every letter and email for debt with Scottish power going from 100 to 600 when I have prepayment meter o think not as I was up to date then can go forth and multiply

Got passed to these guys from sky , for an account that I didn’t even have sky should be ashamed of them selves, trying to get money from people who don’t even have an account with them sick of all the messages from them go away
They want more then you can give
You advice them on how much you can pay but they don't seem to want to know even though you fill out the form on what you have coming in and going out they want more then you can afford what's the point of telling them if they want more so you can be left with nothing

Have received letters requesting payment of a bill that was paid in full and on time with original supplier. Impossible to contact, waited for more than an hour for someone to answer their number before being cut-off. Then a further hour with no answer.

Worst customer service I ever encountered. Needed to speak to someone and held on for over an hour before giving up.
Didn't really have the right department listed for me to discuss the problem anyway on the list of choices. No other way to get through to them either that isn't very long winded.

Company is not a scam. It's just another scum filled cult of fools. My review is the following. Disgrace of a company. Send vulnerable people threatening letters causing them to self harm. Took an aggressive call from myself to get them to leave my wife alone. If you're going to bully people and add over a hundred to a bill which you have no right to then expect to be told. Will never forgive any company like this. Find out who the person you are dealing with is before messing with their life. Hope you all sleep well knowing folk self harm and worse because of your actions. A good hard shake of yourself and question your morals. Sleep well scummers.

Definitely a scam. Keep getting text messages saying I owe HMRC money (no ref. no.s or amounts or dates though blah blah).
Funny really as I haven't received any invoice in the post either. Guess they just go on Companies house website & try it on.
Block it and then delete it. These people should be ashamed of themselves - they must be really hungry to stoop this low.
Desperately need BPO collections to read this and help
I'm hoping they will review this and see my message. I'm being wrongly accused by Scottish Power that I owed them payments. I bought this flat and the previous tenant has never registered her details with Scottish Power, and never submitted any payment for the utilities that she's consumed. I opened the posts that were addressed to my flat and discovered such. I reached out to Scottish Power and several representatives reassured me that I do not have to pay for the previous owners' bill. But I do need to open an account with them, provide them my direct debit information as part of the procedure, so that i can transfer to my energy supplier Octopus Energy. I followed their instruction and they've made unauthorised direct debit withdrawal from my account.
I've filed dispute via my bank and even Octopus Energy stepped in to help me, Scottish power still has it in their system that I owed them money. However, when I logged on to my Scottish power account dashboard, it shows I owe them a negative amount! I've spent hours on the call with Scottish Power and even have their representatives hanged up on me when they didn't have an answer!
I've finally learned about ofgem.org and reached out to them for help. They were able to assist me to connect to Scottish Power's complaint department and Ryan from that department reassured me that all the communication to me will cease until the case is resolved (as he can't understand why I'm told I owe an amount either) when I've already switched to a different supplier 6 months ago as soon as I moved in. I've told him to make sure I'm not being submitted to any debt collector and lo and behold, I got an email today from BPO collections that I am on their record!
Upon receiving their email this morning, I've emailed them and called them 3 times, waited for over 30 mins, an hour and 25 mins, same as others who's complained here, they don't pick up their calls. I'm in distressed now and I really hope they will see this message and will answer my message and put my account on hold until Scottish Power confirms my innocence!

They are a debt collection agency so…
They are a debt collection agency so you don't expect to love them, but they picked up the phone quick, agreed a 30 day hold on the debt, and they don't slap heavy interest on the collections.
Absolutely useless
Absolutely shocking, the automated system kept asking me over and over for my date of birth despite me entering it. It then says please hold while we put you through to advisor, wait about 10 minutes and it says... "goodbye" and hangs up om me ???
I then go to the Web address on the letter which doesn't appear to exist. Then I read all these bad reviews saying possible scammers so.... im not paying them as I can't get through and now don't trust them to be genuine either.

Had a text message and numerous emails sent asking me to call them on 01413750900 quoting a reference number,but only addressed me as Dear Sir/Madam.Not going to as in the past if I've had debt collectors trying to get in touch,they've actually addressed me by my name.For all I know this is a scam,and would be a waste of time as I'm not giving my personal details to them!
