I had the pleasure to spent one month in Brazil organized by BAT. Remember, Brazil is always an adventure and requires sometimes changes at short notice. An example, a domestic flight couldn't land due to a thunderstorm and had to fly all the way back (1.5h). Off course a driver was waiting for us. Just a message to BAT and everything was sorted out. Get used to South American mentality, that there is always a solution and you will enjoy Brazil.
Brazil is huge and a month not to enough to see all, so we had a lot of discussions with BAT, on which places to focus. At the end we got a well tailored itinerary to see very different places (rainforest but also desert). I was especially impressed how well transport in the North East was organized, since it requires some hours of off-road driving followed by some hours of speed boat. Once the jeep/boat arrived the next driver was already waiting for us.

I was very satisfied with Adam and Brazil Adventure Tours.
Adam is extremely knowledgeable in his field and knows exactly how to deal with and communicate with customers. It felt like having a friend by my side, helping me organise the perfect trip. Our four-week trip to Brazil was excellent. And all at great value for money.

I used Brazil Adventure Tours for a trip in Sept/Oct. of 2025. Initially for Amazon, Pantanal, and Atlantic Rainforest locations. Essentially - The company was attentive during initial planning stages. But after they received my deposit, they completely ignored me for months. The company was not responsive to my request for time at certain locations and other arrangements. This resulted in a loss of options in the Pantanal. On top of this - they're planning for the Pantanal was logistically problematic. I had to make costly alterations in real time while on holidays in order to meet flight times they arranged.

Eventually, after the company kept ignoring me after they had received my deposit - I ended up engaging with another tour operator that was highly professional and efficient for planning the Atlantic Rainforest part of the trip. Because Brazil Adventure Tours (BAT) had received my deposit early on for arrangement related to domestic flights, I had to stay with them for the Amazon and Pantanal parts of the trip. The Amazon leg was an easy planning scenario as I had supplied the location/resort I wanted to stay at. I also supplied the length of time I wanted to stay in the Amazon, which was completely ignored by BAT. They booked flights without concern as to my request for time at location. BAT did what easy for them. At the time they made excuses for flight itineraries as essentially having 'limited options'. Only after arriving on site and learning that there were, and are, many flight options did I understand that I had been mis-lead by BAT. This was the case throughout the Amazon and Pantanal planning for this trip (when able to make contact).

It appears that BAT did what was easiest for them, even though I continually was raising concerns about how they were planning my trip. Initially, my agent at BAT low-balled his quote for this trip. I came to understand that this appeared to be a tactic to get my deposit. Even though it was impossible to get a reply regarding how my trip was being planned/managed for months after sending BAT my deposit - I did continue to reach out again and again to provide direction and to let my agent know that we could adjust costs in order to get the trip I was after. This was to no response or avail from BAT. As I eventually learned - there was no way BAT could provide the trip they outlined for the price they quoted. Early on - Bat should have been honest and told me they were unable to plan the trip I was requesting - unfortunately they chose another route - ignored me and forced me into options and arrangements that were easiest for them to plan.

I found BAT to be unprofessional and unresponsive to my requests after they received my deposit. They were very good at excuses. While the website claims they can plan custom trips in Brazil - this is not true. They have very limited understanding of the country and the logistics for planning of custom-built trips. They seem to cater more to 'off the shelf' itineraries and trips - but I still would not use them for a simple trip as they demonstrated poor work ethic, dis-honesty and lack of knowledge during my experience with them.

I have used well over 25 different companies for planning adventure travel trips over the last 20 years or so. Brazil Adventure Tours was by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. They were hard to work with and didn't communicate after receiving my deposit, until 2 weeks or so prior to my departure for Brazil. It was a stressful experience dealing with BAT. For a while the communication was so bad I thought I had been scammed. While I plan on returning to Brazil, I would never use this company again. My experience with BAT was so bad I felt it necessary to warn others about this company and recommend you find another operator if traveling to Brazil.
