I,m relatively new to buying on BL, I wanted to make a purchase from Germany being posted to the U.K. no postage was displayed on the purchase screen so I had to confirm the purchase before even knowing the cost, relying on the seller to be honest.
When I received the invoice the postage was 4 times what it should be so obviously I told the seller to cancel the sale. I then received a black mark against my account for non payment, nothing being said about the seller trying to profit from postage costs. I contacted BL thinking they would remove the feedback but they didn’t want to know, never mind reprimanding the seller! On closer inspection of the sellers feedback he has 150 negative reviews for doing exactly what he tried to do to me, basically if you don’t pay the invoice your blackmailed at the threat of a non payment against your account.

This company deleted my 15 year account for absolutely no reason. An "integration" was unnecessary and punishing to their loyal customers for years.

BrickLink, despite being owned by the LEGO Group for quite some time now, still is unbearably subpar.

The entire website is just so outdated after the landing page. It's a platform stuck in the early 2000s. It gets especially convoluted if you're a seller where sending an invoice gets done via a tiny button. The seller onboarding is also a nightmare. On eBay, I can easily register and start selling, on BrickLink, its a week-long process where they want pictures of my face, my ID card, "inventory", my tax number …

One of the biggest deficiencies of the site both as a buyer and a seller is that they only allow ONE picture in the listing and that picture can be 2 MB maximum. And even with pictures below that it will sometime refuse to upload and throw an "403 forbidden" error for no apparent reason.

That archaic one-picture restriction means that most sellers won't put up any pictures to begin with and some sellers resort to "more pictures on request" in their description. As a seller, I've had to send out pictures via E-Mail twice because of this, which is a huge hassle. Not a problem on eBay at all!

It is especially frustrating when, after making the effort of making and sending pictures to potential buyers, they never answer or you get that request AFTER getting the order from them.

On that note, if someone places on order on your shop on BrickLink, that's more of a suggestion than ANYTHING reliable.

On eBay, if you click "buy now", you COMMIT to that purchase, as it should be. You pay immediately, the seller can ship it out as soon as possible and once the package arrives, he gets his money.

On BrickLink, there's none of that. You can place an order and than just ghost the seller or you can BS him after the fact with additional picture requests, "setting conditions" and, get this, wanting it shipped to an entirely different continent all of a sudden!

Saying too young to enter 🤣 due to logging incorrect dob by mistake. Gives you no way or option to correct it. Loads of other places to use instead of Bricklink so don't bother. If you don't want customers then keep up the work pushing them away. Would never recommend this company to anyone now. Zero stars 0 ❌️

Je découvre que les vendeurs peuvent faire effacer les commentaires clients négatifs sans aucune justification. Où est l'honnêteté de ce site envers ses clients? Le vendeur semble clairement favorisé.

Le site a refusé mon retour sous les 14 jours légaux. Et ne repond plus a ma demande de retour malgré les boîtes fermer ! A fuire obligé d attaquer une procédure pour faire entendre ses droits

Have used BL for years, Dans site was an absolute boon to all AFOL's looking for parts so what has gone so wrong?
Lego group is what - since they acquired the site it has become a hacked about mess, the unwarranted merge with Lego accounts was botched beyond belief leaving many buyers and sellers unable to login to this day. The merge has also broken many of the other linked software like Brickstore which is no longer able to sync with Bricklink.
Most recently they have effectively shut 35 major nations out of BL because they are to greedy to comply with local taxation rules.

Je fais une commande et 1 mois apres cela n'est toujours pas expedié, le service client du site me dit que il faut encore attendre avant de demander le remboursement et ne me repond pas ? C'est un site d'arnaque ne commandez surtout pas dessus !

J'ai passé commande le 8 novembre. Nous sommes le 11 décembre et je n'ai toujours rien reçu. Le délai de livraison devait être de 12 jours, cela fait plus d'un mois. Le SAV ne fait rien, ils me répètent qu'ils relancent le transporteur, mais ça ne change rien. À fuir.

Terrible support = inadequate support
Zero support = customer service ghosted on me
Under zero support = the platform didn't perform the necessary action from them causing my financial loss. Bricklink is now rated under zero.

I was a seller for a bit over a year, the experience was great until LEGO merged with this site. This August I have sold a set of LEGO and the buyer has paid through Paypal before I shipped it. I have been doing business with the same Paypal account for over £10k in the last year with no issue. However, I didn't receive the fund and reached out to the customer support. They basically gave me a canned answer of they have nothing to do with the payment and if it fell through that is on me. They then asked me for my details for a follow up, that of course didn't happen. It was in late October.

After reading the review on here there is another review complaining about the same thing, and that reviewer said 'BL platform has to release the fund with Paypal' first. If that is true, without a competent customer service, BL is not a safe place to trade anymore.

Then, just now (5th Dec) I recevied an email from them demanding me for my seller fee. I cleared the payment and deleted my account with them.

Since LEGO is required and the login combined I cannot Log In properly. I Log in and get thrown out at the same moment, this platform screwed up and the wrong accounts got merged with LEGO.com and its a big mess, I CAN NOT LOG IN ANYMORE! I pay Money for this poor service and NO communication but bots. Go to Brick Owl, you'll be better of there.

I used to love bricklink, but now I can't get in because I'm 17 1/2 and not 18. Then it redirected me to the kids section. I feel that they treated me like shit.

Was prima te gebruiken. Sinds te integratie met Lego is het huilen met de pet op. Wat weet Lego de laatste jaren veel goede dingen keihard te vernachelen!

Platform wont allow you to sell items unless you buy first and hope for positive feedback. What a stupid restriction.. don't bother using this site.

An der Stelle kann ich mich meinen unzähligen Vorrednern nur anschließen. Zu Beginn hatte ich mit der Seite dahingehend Schwierigkeiten, als das ich mich ersteinmal mit all den zich Funktionen ( welche am Ende des Tages aber nur dazu dienen einem das Handling so angenehme wie möglich zu gestalten ) vertraut machen musste und deswegen: Gebt der Webpage eine Chance, lernt die Mechaniken über die vielen exzellenten seiteninternen Tutorials und ihr werdet im Handumdrehen spielend leicht mit dem ganzen System fertig.

Eine wirklich fabelhaft und auf globaler Ebene funktionierende Seite, welche einem quasi gesehen fast sämtliche jemals erschienen Steine/SET´s/OVP´s/Bedienungsanleitungen oder anderes LEGO-Merchandise möglich macht käuflich zu erwerben.
