I ordered from this company without checking the reviews. I have to admit, I checked them after ordering and started to worry. However, I have to say my experience has been amazing. Delivery of my tiles arrived in only 3 days from ordering and the tiles were EXTREMELY well packaged (and beautiful). Unfortunately, mistakes happen and there were a couple of chipped tiles. Anyone who's ordered tiles before knows that's quite common, so I emailed them with some photos and they replied that they would send replacements ASAP, which they did and they arrived only 2 days after initial delivery. Fantastic customer service in my eyes and a faultless online shopping experience.

I can't deny that I have had some of the same issues described by other people on here, however, I felt I needed to add my overall experience which in the end had a positive outcome.

I ordered some tiles from their website on the 26th of October. On the morning of the 1st of November I received a text saying that the order had been delivered, however, when I got to the location where the order was being delivered to there was nothing there. I contacted the delivery company and was told that the order had been damaged and so the sender had requested it to be returned to them and that I would need to contact the sender to find out when I could expect to receive a replacement.

It is here where things went awry. I tried calling all the numbers on their website and as has been stated by many people I never was able to get through to speak to someone. In the end, I decided to send a message using the contact form on their website and I sent the same message via email to the email address listed on the contact page. To my surprise about 2 hours later I received a reply to the contact form I submitted on their website and was told that a replacement order would be sent on a next day delivery for the 3rd of November as I had missed the next day window for that day.

As I write this review on the 3rd of November I am happy to say that I have received the full replacement order as promised and everything went very smoothly on the day. I even received a text before the delivery was due with an ETA and tracking link so I could keep an eye on its progress.

So while I can understand some of the frustrations voiced by many people on here, I seem to be one of the lucky ones. I would also say that apart from the issue with trying to get a hold of someone by phone, in the end, I was able to find another way to get in touch with them and they were able to resolve my issue in a very satisfactory manner and I have to give them credit for that.

Be very wary of this company. Website wording and reference to 'British Ceramic Tile' implies they are affiliated or connected to the insolvent British tile manufacturer 'British Ceramic Tiles' A little research will show different. This is NOT a British tile manufacturer.....

Would have given zero stars but wouldn’t let me. Ordered samples, took the money through PayPal but nothing received. Emailed them, had a response asking for their order number which I never received at the time. Sent further email but no response. DO NOT USE

Wish I had looked up reviews online - delivered two of the three samples I ordered. Told me to telephone for refund. No phone numbers work, company is in administration. Director Ismail Patel still listed on Companies House. AVOID! Their fancy website should be taken down. Have reported to trading standards.

Will be raising a complaint with Trading Standards, and recommend anyone else who has been effectively scammed by this 'company' to do the same. If we don't then more people are going to have the same problems.

Same issue as a lot of others I can see. Ordered. Money taken. No dispatch email and no ability to get through to the company.

Complaint also raised with card provider to get our money back. Failing this we'll take to small claims as a matter of principle.

I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. From reading them I guess I was lucky that my tiles actually did arrive, just not the quantity I ordered so completely useless to me.

I tried every possible way to contact these people to no avail. Luckily I had paid via PayPal and got a full refund through them.

I just don't understand how a company like this can carry on! Its a shame as the tiles are beautiful.

Very fast delivery and amazing tiles!
We did have a problem with the first delivery but once through to someone they were very helpful and sorted the issue quickly.

Dreadful company, happy to take moneyfor sample tiles but the tiles werenever delivered or the money refunded. We have threatened them with legal action and have been met with silence. Their last post on Facebook was 2020 which makes us think they've gone out of business. Do not waste your time or money with this company.

One star too many. I also have fallen for this scam. Please don’t fall into this trap. I can’t get through either to British Ceramic Tiles or Al-Murad. They don’t answer phones and emails are not delivered. AVOID like the plague

British Ceramic Tiles went into administration in 2019. The Brand was bought by the Al Murad tile business (also owns tiles direct).
Similar to many others, we ordered without having seen the reviews and sure enough no tiles arrived and the company is impossible to contact for a refund.

Avoid and check reviews.

Falsely advertising box of 13 tiles but delivered a different version of 9 tiles.
No customer service or anyone answering the phone?
Now short for project & have to pay for delivery again - useless incompetent company

I’d like to give no stars. Ordered samples, never arrived. No one ever answered phone or emails. Tried refund through PayPal but no engagement. Total con. Do not use.

First off they were great - fast delivery, good selection of well priced tiles and good website.
Then we wanted to return an item - zero response.
I just ordered a replacement because our building project could not wait for them. Then the replacement arrived broken - zero response until I got shirty, then zero response again. Couldn't make contact via phone - went around in circles.
Now, still trying to sort out the refund but zero response.
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

AVOID! paid £22 for a number of samples, some of which were £4.99 each, I expected at least 4 tiles together to get an idea of what they were like but no singular tiles at £4.99 each - what a rip off! Took two weeks to arrive and charged £5.99 for delivery.

We ordered some sample tiles. BCT took payment on the card, but no sign of the tiles, no response to emails, and no answer on any phone number. The website shows them as dispatched which I suspect is bs if you'll pardon my french.

I placed an order on Monday (before checking Trust Pilot). Tried to call them today to increase the order quantity but couldn't get through on any number (Head Office, Sales, Trade, Distribution etc). That raised alarm bells.

Even if they do surprise me and deliver the goods, I can't even increase my order quantity without placing a subsequent order so I'll end up paying for delivery twice. Terrible experience so far and zero expectations of receiving my goods.

Update 2 -
No communication from BCT since 20th Jan, when I was told my tiles would arrive 2-4 days later.

No surprise, still no tiles, no response to my emails, and no answer on their phone number.

So, since placing and paying for my order more than 2 months ago I am still out of pocket and have no tiles, just the 36 broken ones I need to dispose of at my own inconvenience.

Order from this company if you have money to burn and time to waste. Will refer them to trading standards if I do not receive my order and a satisfactory response by the end of the week.

Update 1 -
I emailed customer service and was told the tiles would be sent to me, expedited delivery. Great I thought....

The tiles arrived this morning. I ordered three packs...not one single tile was usable. Every single tile out of 3sqm was broken and cracked. They are all completely useless.

I have emailed customer service again... Charging 40GBP for delivery, waiting more than a month and receiving 3 boxes of completely broken tiles is beyond disappointing.

Ordered and PAID for tiles more than a month ago on 30th Nov. The confirmation stated I should receive delivery 7-10 days afterwards.

At day 10, with still no sign of delivery or the email dispatch notification I called customer service. I was fobbed off with an excuse about shortages and told that I would receive the tiles in the new year. We had to postpone the tiler and have had no tiles in our hallway for a month now...

So here we are, first week in January, no dispatch email, no tiles, and also no answer on the customer service phone number. I wish I had checked the other reviews before parting with my money and having our renovation plans disrupted.

Unreliable and untrustworthy - avoid.

I have had a really bad experience with this company, I ordered tiles two weeks ago, I had no information about dispatch whatsoever even though in the order confirmation they say the delivery will be within 5-7 days. I called them today, waited ages for them to pick up. The customer service member claimed it was dispatched, but it will be resent again today. They do not sound reliable and do not make any sense. When I asked for a dispatch confirmation, the person hung up on me!!! I had to call again to ask for it, I received an email confirming that my products will be dispatched within 2-3 days even though I have already waited weeks! The final confirmation did not include my order number so I can only hope that it's not some sort of scam. I would not recommend, avoid at all cost if you can.
