Awful company to deal with
Awful company to deal with. Have been left without hot water despite the emergency engineer saying he fixed the leak and that someone would attend the next day to get the water back on. Am now on day 5 of no water! Try calling, get no one, and when you do all they do is lie to you and say they will call you back and then never do. Have logged a complaint with the housing company and have had to log another 24hr repair to get my water back on.

BSW is an awful company to get hold of about 6 months ago I had a new boiler installed and in December it had no pressure after hours on the phone managed to get help eventually .engineer came and fixed it. forward to March and its happened again no heating or hot water phoned them at 7.45 this morning requested a call back and as yest no call back has happened and I have done this request twice now as they dont anser the phone.we are both disabled and keeping warm is so important and we are both cold .we would never use this firm but being a Thanet district council tenant we have not a choice as BSW have the contract for the council. disgraceful service disgraceful company .
eventually engineer turned up at about 1.30 fixed it by 2 come on BSW sort your phones out

A workman came ,think he said he was from maidstone kent,called Daniel originaly Romania,i have to say he is the best workman ive ever had the privelige to meet me and my husband was over the moon with his work he was so profesional kind and a pleasure to meet .you dont find them like this anymore he was excellant, we live in southampton so he came a long way ,if i needed him again i would wait on a waiting list till he was available ,the radiator is working properley now thanks to him so thank you Daniel we loved meeting you sorry I called you Brian and not Daniel (memory)
Absolutely shocking
Absolutely shocking! Called yesterday and got told engineer would be out today. Grant arrived, said he fixed the problem. He did in fact NOT fix the problem. My house is freezing. I call again, get told I’ll be ok a short hold, 30 minutes later she cuts the call off. I call again, cut off after being ‘number 1 in the cue’ for 1 hour and 20 minutes. For a company that has a “24 hour line” is a joke. I have a small child, my house is freezing.

Had a new night storage heater fixed on 9 February 2026 and even it has been set-up by the installer the next morning 10 February the say heater dint work
Now I have complaining to them as a appointment to fix it is only on the 20 February 2026 and that delay is not acceptable

The telephone system needs addressing
The telephone system needs addressing. The virtual assistant just cuts you off. If and when you do get through you are number 4 in the queue for 40 minutes by which time you are losing the power to live. As for that ridiculous music who nowadays wants to listen to Jazz. If you press one for a call back they call you next day and make out they can't hear you. My 91 year old friend has been without hot water for 4 LONG WEEKS. He is classed as urgent. They said today 4th Feb they will come on 20th February....really. this elderly gentleman has now burnt his foot, carrying a kettle to the bathroom in order for him to have a wash and shave. This is disgraceful 91 years old. He had an appointment booked for yesterday but they didn't turn up!!! Now has to wait another week without hot water

I was made to wait over 90 minutes on the phone trying to get through because they never came within the 24 hours period. The most annoying thing about this was that I was in que position 1 lol

Had a boiler check today by the BSW Kenley branch, the engineer was called Grant and he really did a fantastic job!
Very respectful and friendly explained everything he was doing and made sure all was ok with me! Work was carried out quickly and efficiently all in all was a pleasure to have him in my home while completing the work! Thank you so much!
Appalling company left for 53 hours…
Appalling company left for 53 hours with hot water and heating (for what should have been a 24 hour call out) engineer stayed for 30 second - did not fix problem still hot water not running properly 8 days later . Another 24 hour call booked on Monday morning still no show lunch time on Wednesday. Call centre staff rude - engineers just pick and choose which appointments to attend. Was promised 100% that an engineer would attend between 5pm and midnight last night - chased at 11.20pm to be told the James the engineer was not answering his phone and had not attended any of his emergency appointments last night - so I was not the only household let down by them last night. Why Stonewater Housing Association still insist of employing this company to carry out work in their properties is beyond me they are nothing but a disappointment .
BSW please seace trading and put us all out of our misery
I Wish I didn't have to deal with this company but southern housing probably dont want to pay for a decent company. This time I have been without heating and hot water for three days. The people on the phone when you can get through are a complete wast of oxygen. I have taken time of work waiting for engineers who where never going to turn up. The best thing this company could do to improve, is close!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - WORST COMPANY
This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. I have been within hot water and heating since 5th Jan, with 2 young children they do not care about people. They are well known for making appointments and not turning up and then reporting that the resident was not in.
Every engineer/contractor that I have had to deal with are rude and unprofessional.
Forget raising a complaint with BSW, they do not deal with any complaints you would just be wasting your time.

They are doing repairs for Wealden’s council their repairs is absolutely rubbish their employees have no manners or respect for our homes their employer doesn’t b not provide plastic shoe covers for them to wear when they get in our house some of them have their trousers below their bum with no boxers the whole ass of an over 40 year old man is out for our children to see this it is disgraceful disrespectful rude clumsy and it’s absolute disgusting their customer service is absolutely rubbish they never answer their phone to book repairs I don’t know where they get these kind of workers who don’t care their job they have zero customer service skills and zero repairs skills what’s so ever they come to our houses and all over the house instead of the place they are there to work on thinks they open bedrooms but they are not in the house to enter bedrooms they are absolutely rude with no respect honestly I don’t know how they still have contact at all

Do not use this company!!!!! Been trying to get through on phone since 1pm it’s now 15.30 pm still on hold!!!! Had a appointment today I was due a call out ,I nipped out quickly (no choice ) the operative never ever bothered to ring my doorbell just banged on the door so my video doorbell wasn’t triggered I could have told the engineer I was physically five minutes away which I was !!!! Still can’t get through on phone there rude and totally unhelpful do not use !!!!

have a very ill father who has had no heating or hot water since 25th december called on 26th sent someone round diagnosed it was either of two things no one gets in contact to let me know what's going on engineer who was more than helpful turns up with replacement part today the 29th and it don't work know looks like be waiting another day or two complete joke service absolutely fuming and at my wits end

From start to finish, my experience with this company has been nothing short of infuriating. Appointments were missed repeatedly with no notice, no apology, and no sense that my time mattered at all. I rearranged my schedule more than once, only to be left waiting for engineers who simply never showed up. Each time, I had to chase them for an explanation — which is unacceptable for any professional service, let alone one dealing with heating.
When I did manage to get through on the phone, the situation somehow got worse. The telephone operatives, (Tina) were dismissive, rude, and borderline hostile. Instead of listening or trying to resolve the issue, I was spoken to as if I were an inconvenience for daring to expect basic reliability and courtesy. Simple questions were met with attitude, and concerns were brushed off rather than addressed.
BSW Heating shows a complete lack of organisation, accountability, and customer care. Missed appointments and rude staff seem to be the norm rather than the exception. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere unless you enjoy wasting your time and being treated with disrespect

Both engineers were efficient, polite, and friendly. Despite having a difficult and very lengthy job they remained good humoured and determined to restore the heating to my bathroom which I'm pleased to say they did. Gold star and thank you to you both guys.
Absolutely useless!
Had an appointment booked for an annual gas safety check between 1pm - 5pm. As we work full time, we arranged for someone to be there...but when they got there, BSW had already left a calling card saying that they had called at 1.05pm (when it was still only 12:30) When we checked our Ring Doorbell, the engineer had actually called at 11:25 (95mins early). If that wasn't bad enough, I phoned up BSW to get an explanation, but when I eventually got through and explained that I'd been waiting on the phone in a queue for over an hour, and that we had an appointment booked for that day, she just hung up on me!! We also emailed them with what had happened and asked for another appointment....but still no reply 4 days later!
So now, if anything goes wrong with our boiler or there's any type of gas related incident, we'll be holding BSW responsible and seeking legal advice.

I’m gas engineer been working with this company nearly year I had nothing apart from trouble I’m happy I’m out of it but I worn every engineer who think to work with them to not too cow boys manager never bother office planning most of them rude only few people are rest just don’t know what to do I’ve been working with a lot of companies across uk but Inever come across before something like this I feeel sorting for the customer I’ve seen nothing good of this comply apart from problem
