Is the absolute worst customer service. They blocked my payment method siting suspicious activity. I've been ordering items from them since 2020 and they weren't willing to help resolve this payment issue. Very disappointing.

Very disappointed with the experience with CandleScience this time. We have been long-time customers and placed many large orders over the years, but this order was handled poorly.

My husband picked up the shipment at the border — 35 boxes of jars. Naturally, we did not open every single box on the spot. The boxes we checked looked fine, so we paid a significant amount in border fees and took the shipment home. Only later did we realize that none of the fragrance oils were included in the order.

What is even more frustrating is how much time and effort it now takes just to receive a simple apology or reimbursement for missing items worth around $10. Loyal customers should not have to jump through hoops to resolve mistakes that were clearly not their fault.

Very disappointing customer service experience from a company we used to trust.

Candlescience is 1 of the most trusted company for artisan craft makers. I think these negative reviews might be fake. The new clean scents and vas amount of knowledge on fragrance use soap and candle making is unbelievable. And their prices are the lowest I've seen in terms of fragrance oils and soap bases. They are my favorite company to use for soapmaking supplies, right up there with brambleberry and natures garden. You also get to choose a free fragrance when you buy 25 dollars worth of products.

Absolutely trash website. Can't even spend money here because the website is so broken.

Product sent was horrible and I need to return but they expect me to pay for a return of a bad product. I will NEVER buy from Candle Science again.

My order said it shipped on Sept 15 and was expected by Sept 18. On that day I checked and it said a label was printed. Now, if you ship items you know that means just that, a label was printed. I reached out to CS and instead of taking accountability and saying that it was their error, they didn’t ship it, they said USPS missed the scan. And I know that happens but they missed it for a fews? No!! CS is not being truthful. I asked to just cancel the order and I would get it from a different company and they said they cannot cancel a shipped order. After I sent the message, the order “magically” was scanned and shipped. And yes, I am still waiting for it!

I have been buying from candle science since Dec 2024. Then suddenly I was told that my card had suspicious activity and they wouldn’t process my order. I contacted them after assuring and checking on my card that was perfectly fine but the response I received from them is they’d respond in 24-48 hours. I made a new acct. with a perfectly fine new bank card and the same thing happened. I contacted them 3-4 x to resolve this issue but only get a response of they’ll respond in 24-48 hours. It’s been days. Terrible customer service.

This company charges ridiculously high shipping fees. I represent a veteran owned and operated small candle company, and I was trying place a $300.00 + order. They had advertised free shipping on orders over 249.00 dollars. But instead hit me with $110.00 shipping, when contacted they said "that ended Friday". This is absurd for creating business relationships, I love many of their products but this shipping crap is what will kill future partnerships for many new businesses.

Candle Science has some great fragrances and products but their prices are over the top and then there is their astronomically ridiculous shipping and handling prices. Currently the S & H is about half the price of my order. They're going to price me right out of business. Im sure Im not the only one! I am now onto comparison shopping and finding more and more products with lower costs and shipping fees from other suppliers. They continue to lose more of my business.

Nothing but great experience so far. The fragrances ive tried have been great. Some have been increidble. I have approximately 4 dozen fragrances from here. Prices are fair and the products have been consistently good. I've tried fragrances, wax, jars and wicks. Customer service was great when I had a packing issue. I really like the way they explain their clean scents program so it doesn't sound like greenwashing. I also really like their YouTube channel.
The shipping is a little pricey, but it always arrives quickly for me.

I just started dabbling in making my own candles. I will tell you that my first order was perfect, the instructions were incredibly easy to follow and it made my first experience worthwhile! I already placed another order!

I ordered 16 ounce of cinnamon sticks fragrance. It definitely was not cinnamon sticks. Tried to return it and they wouldn't give me a return label. All they did was to repeatedly tell me to make a candle and then see how it smells. I did and then they just stopped answering me all together. Don't buy from this company. Their fragrances aren't what they say they are and they won't give you a refund.

Pricing for shipping is just OUTRAGEOUS!!! I own a couple of online retail shops, and I KNOW that shipping prices are NOT that high...even with decent handling charges! Seems like they are pretty greedy if you ask me. I won't be shopping there again.

We were looking to get set up with candle jars w/lids and a few bags of wax monthly, but then the shipping price was over double what our total cost was!

I'm in the beginning phase of candle making and trying different suppliers, this will definitely be my go to! Compared to other suppliers, I was very impressed with the quality of their oils and the packaging they use to ship keeps everything safe in transit. Prices are great as well! They also have spectacular customer service, which is an absolute must for me when doing business.

We are new to the candle business however we ordered from several manufacturers to test the fragrance, soy wax, soy/coconut wax to obtain the results we were looking for in all natural candles. I also want to add we have 300 different types of wicks to include whisper wood wicks. As far as Candle Science fragrance is concerned, “HANDS DOWN ARE THE TRUEST IN REGARDS TO SCENT! THEIR SOY BLEND WAX IS AMAZING, THEIR SHIPPING, PACKAGING WAS IMPECCABLE AND WE RECEIVED OUR ORDER WITHIN 48HRS! I WILL DEFINITELY PURCHASE IN BULK NEXT TIME! THANK YOU CANDLE SCIENCE FOR MAKING OUR EXPERIENCE A GREAT ONE! The CT/HT IS LITERALLY SCENTING MY ENTIRE 2 STORY HOUSE!

I liked buying with them but I have to look for another seller because for a 16oz bottle I paid 19.99 and now they are 29.00 that without counting the 9 Dollars for shipping is too much money.

My normal fragrance oil supplier has been out of Leather fragrance oil for some time. Needing the oil, I gave Candle Science a try. Their description of their Leather oil sounded really good. I would have read more reviews! I received the fragrance oil and it had no leather smell at all. It smelled like cooking oil. I received two other fragrances that at least resembled the odor of what I requested, but the Leather was terrible. ACB. Order #R758054192. I like how the company responds to any issues I had and delivered np no hassles

The fragrances came very fast and well packaged. They also allowed me to pick a free sample. All of the samples I purchased were wonderful !

The bottles and almost 1/2 what was is expected and they ignore the complaints. They do not have and phone to call them directly. The products are no longer good.
