Reassuring service and efficient admin
It is really reassuring to know there is a person available and ready to call for help if necessary. My mum is 84 has limited mobility and has had several falls. She can call for assistance anywhere in the house if she needs to. The call centre keeps in touch with her until an ambulance or one of her relatives can get to her. Any interaction my family has had with the admin side has been very positive and efficient.

Set up and testing were very simple
Set up and testing were very simple. This was most important for my Dad who is the user of the service and has the devices in his home. The staff on the phone lines are polite and responsive too.

Be aware of contract conditions
My mother had the carelink24 alarm for years. She had a serious stroke during the alarm cancellation period (one month after renewal) Cancelling the contract was the last thing on my mind as she entered palliative care. Carelink24 didn’t want to return ANY money to mom although I’d just renewed the contract for her ! Be aware !!

The alarm is ok
The alarm is ok, but the machine interferes with our phone line so much that when we take a call on the phone line we have to turn the alarm off.
We have moved the box away from our phone into another room, and the interference stopped.

I can confirm that the kind of Alarm you have, a Smartlife Digital Alarm, is entirely independent of the phone line. As such, it is impossible for the device to have an impact on the phone line to such a degree.

The experience CareLink offered has been very goood indeed. Fortunately I have, after several years, finally had an hip replacement and am finding that my main use now is merely to explain that I have called by accident and could my call be cancelled!
