Just sold my phone to this company and I wish I read the reviews first no reply at all,has anyone got a phone number for them please and how do I report them and does anything get done about this any help will do

It’s been a month and I still didn’t get the money. Nobody replies to my emails.

Cliche start but I’m saying it, if I could leave no stars that would definitely be the rating. Was given a reasonable quote for my MacBook Air so I sent it off. They tested and said it wasn’t as I said (excellent condition) as on gaming on the device it over heated! Then offered me a significantly lower counter offer. I declined and paid the £20 to get my device back. I had to chase as nobody contacted as it stated. They asked out of curiosity what I’d accept. I said the original quote. It’s not a gaming device so as much as I appreciate that gaming maybe part of their testing it’s not a realistic measure. So if they couldn’t honour the original price then I’d happily receive my device back. This wasn’t met with an easy exchange. Communication pretty much stopped. I had to chase and even threaten with action fraud as they were not going to get away with robbing me! I finally got a response and had my device delivered back to me. The whole process went on from the 18th April to the 18th May. I’m annoyed I even went through this as I’m usually good at checking reviews but think I had numerous windows open and saw a different company review because this 1 star is very much a thing and people should steer clear! All good reviews are from 2013. Says something! DO NOT PUT YOURSELF THROUGH UNNECESSARY STRESS BY USING THIS COMPANY! I was lucky enough to get my item back!

My experience was very poor. They initially made a fair offer for my tablet (£27), but after receiving it they made a derisory counter offer (£5) or alternatively offered to return it at a cost of £20 for shipping. It feels like this is their standard modus operandi.

Was told to sent item and pay recorded
Deliver and it would be refunded. I paid £9.50 to send my kids iPads and iPhones for them to get some
Money back.
They had plenty contact until it
Was received now nothing. No payment. No emails. NOTHING! AVOID!! Scammers and will be reported for theft

Offered me much lower than the origonal offer and after I asked for the phone back they sent the money across without me confirming.

They also don't say but they will charge you to get your phone back.

Scam company DONT USE!

Reduced their offer then don't pay or respond to any form of communication. Almost considering the long trip just to see them in person. if they exist that is. Crooks.

Smooth process and money in my account all without hassle, better than any other site I compared with for my Nokia.

I sent my phone over a month ago, i rang them up over and over no one ever answers the phone ive emailed them over and and over no reply i sent a Samsung s4 they offered me £168 for it i should of read the reviews before I sent the phone in do not go with this company!!!!!!

Never received my payment for a phone which was worth over £200!!!
They have also failed to respond to any emails sent to them so I have no way of getting my money back. They are UNTRUSTWORTHY and should definitely be avoided.

I did not receive payment and my follow-up enquiry was not answered properly...
I completed the on-line process and posted my phone as instructed on the website. So far, so good.
About a week later, I received in the post Cash my Fone’s instructions to post my phone. The letter was addressed to my address but another person's name. They had somehow attributed another person's name to my order.
I did not receive payment and followed up with Cash My Fone. They claimed not to have received my phone. I pointed out they could have made an administration error because they had incorrectly attributed another person's name to my order. (I still have the letter and can evidence the issue).
I've received no response at all...

Really good customer service and great communication, would use them again and recommend them to anyone

Sent an iPhone to them on the 7th October 2013, got paid a reduced amount on the 2nd December.

Had to send them a letter, recorded delivery, for breach of contract as advised by the Citizen's Advice Bureau. I think this caused them to pay up.

Avoid using at all costs!

We sent 3 mobile phones to Cashmyphone on Aug 21st with a combined value of £84.30. We had heard nothing after a few days but as we had sent them with recorded delivery we checked to see if they had been received. They were signed for by [Name] on Sept 2nd. I emailed them and heard nothing: the t'phone mail box was also full.

Through Citizens Advice I constructed a letter and sent that and then I received a mail from Cashmyphone on Nov 4th saying that the money would be in my account within 48 hours. Nothing has happened.

I have made a claim through County Court procedures and they served a notice on the company to their contact address which has been returned 'not known'.
We fight on! They are still offering their services with suggestions of excellent service: we know that not to be true.

Got their details from a 'compare' site, received two emails sent at the same time one saying we have received your phone, we will unwrap and check and contact you. the second offered a 25% reduction which I now know to be their normal ploy, received a telephone call 25 days ago I reluctantly accepted their offer having read about their numerous bad reviews, I was told that the money would be in the bank the next day, 25 days later nothing, I have asked for my Iphone to be collected, and I have informed the Trading standards

Never ever use this company! We made the big mistake of not reviewing this company before using them. We sent an iPhone 4s 16BG off to them a month ago after receiving a quote of £170. A couple of days letter e-mail response stating they where knocking 15% off for "excessive wear and tear" reluctantly accepted the offer and as of yet we have not received payment. They do not answer the phone or respond to e-mail. This company needs to be shut down immediately! We are contacting trading standards and action fraud as this company are criminal. What they are doing effectively is committing fraud.

My son was offered £230 for his ipad 16gb and a Nokia handset, and duly sent them off to Cash for Fones. They offered him £112! He rejected the offer and asked for it to be sent back, since this equated to a 50% reduction and other than some small cosmetic damage there was nothing wrong with it. The Nokia was only worth around a fiver so he wasn't bothered about that. He has been waiting anxiously for the post every day to get his ipad back, but no prizes for guessing... it has never turned up. Now we cannot get any response from this despicable company either by email or phone. I have now seen there is even a Facebook Group entitled STOP Cash for Fones with all kinds of horror stories about them. I plan to go up there now and see if I can get it back by turning up on their doorstep in person.

Further to this post, I rang cmf and the girl was very helpful. My son now had his iPad back and the Nokia handset and can sell elsewhere (might even buy the iPad off of him myself)

I tried numerous numbers before getting through and thanks to this site I found one that worked

Like many others I sent my Galaxy S3 off to them in perfect condition, even took pictures before as proof!
On 20th october recieved an email offering me 15% less than the £180.50 they offered, as they said it was scratched etc!
since I have emailed them 5 or more time, called but no answer, I have received no replies
I am now at a loss what to do, I needed the cash for my phone and now I have lost the phone!
Avoid them at all costs!

My posting below the line has been removed at the request of Cash My Fone whilst Trust Pilot investigate my review. However today I received the full promised value for my iPhone. It only took 8x emails, 4x unanswered phone calls, and 2x weeks. Plus some sleuthing I to the business practices of the parent company Momobilbes Worldwide Ltd and their Director, all this information can easily be found online.

I have also catalogued correspondence and will be sending it to Trading Standards and the BBC's Watchdog team as an example of bad customer service and business practice.

I highly recommend you do NOT use this company to sell your electrical goods.

Having sent my iPhone4S 32GB to CashmyFone for the agreed purchase value of £180 it was received by them on the 24th October. I then received an email from the company saying it's showing minor scratches or damage and reducing their offer by 15% to £150. It is now the 4th November, I have tried to email and phone them on 0208 090 2548 & 0208 540 2932 and sales@cashmyfone.co.uk requesting the handset be returned to me, as per their terms & conditions in the email. I am yet to receive any response from the company.

I have also tried their parent company Momobiles Worldwide Ltd trading at the same address in Wimbledon on 0208 540 2268 to no avail. Momobiles Worldwide Ltd is run by [name] and I have found an old mobile number of [private data] but this number appears to be disconnected.

Still awaiting a response from the company and am logging each attempt to reach them before submitting experiences to my friends at the BBC's Watchdog programme.
