Being a First Homes first time buyer. Chestnut Homes couldn’t have made the experience any better if they tried! From the very beginning, the professionalism of the whole team was second to non!

A special mention to Jayne & Lyndsey who kept me informed on my property’s progress, always happy to help with any questions or advice.

Purchasing a property from Chestnut Homes was a stress free process with clear communication and experience customer service.

Deceitful and sly sales
I was told my £500 reservation deposit was refundable against the completion. At no point did they advise if the competition didn’t happen before a certain date they would remarket the property I have paid £500 to reserve.
So currently you still have £500 of my money even though you have made a decision to cancel my reservation.
I have advised and left a message that if I don’t receive a refund I will take this to tradings standards/ FCA / ombudsman. It’s disgraceful. The sales tact is also completely underhand.

I have to say Chestnut Homes have been great, the sales team at Kings Manor Coningsby especially Jayne kept us updated on a regular basis and are a credit to the Company. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Chestnut Homes. Mark and Julie Williams

If you decide to buy from this company be very careful there build quality is shocking and there aftercare is non existent. I personally Brought a 4 bed house in 2019 and on completion I found nearly 40 issues that where unsatisfactory as I work in the trade and know what can and should be achieved. To this day most issues including new ones where never rectified and they to this day just Diminish responsibility I’m personally putting claim with NHBC against them. If you wanting a new house do look elsewhere before spending hard earned money with chestnut homes.

Superb customer service at The Quadrant sales office. Kamila provided professional service from the day when we arrived to view property to very last day of completion. Always helpful and very responsive when needed. Hopefully Chestnut homes will be at least half as responsive in fixing snags if we will find any. :)

What an “Alford” (Awful) experience! Had I taken the time to read the genuinely critical reviews on here, I would have steered clear of this company and their practices:

Poor customer service from them lead to them taking a “Reservation deposit” on a property that they told me was secure for me while I completed the “easy mover” option for the purchase. But as with all these badly managed companies the “customer “ comes last!!!

Details were taken, forms sent to me appointments booked, mortgage paperwork completed and then a silly salesperson rings me to say “Hiya, I have some bad news, we have taken a deposit on the plot you wanted” ~ Are these people for real??

Get your company ethics in place, for the sake of your own reputation. Wasting peoples time is pointless. Why have options if your not going to follow them. Poor management definitely poor sales process and after reading some of the comments on here poor build quality!!

Chestnut homes @ Bridgeways you have let yourselves down ~ Again by the sounds of it!

Absolutely gutted that Chestnut Homes decided to go for £££££ rather than customer service 😪😠. While waiting for an answer to a legitimate question regarding width of drive, they decided to take someone else's deposit money, even though we were first in line to buy.. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am with their attitude and behaviour! Money rather than courtesy talks, no doubt! I would NEVER trust these people now. Such a shame. They've lost out, we know a lot of buyers. This was Chantrey Park - Market Rasen.. 😣

We decided to move home in May 2021 and began looking for a new house build. Having travelled around much of Lincolnshire we settled on the Quadrant at Wyberton. The choice of different styles are enough to make the area interestingly different rather than bland and sameish as with lots of other developments.
Kamila was extremely helpful, supportive and worked hard to assist us whenever possible.
We bought a lovely 4 bed detached home off plan and then spent the next 6 months watching it come to completion. There were a couple of snagging issues which were dealt with speedily and professionally.
There are still 2 scratched window glass units to be replaced but these are supply issues which affect the whole of the building industry. I am in contact with customer services so we know what is happening.
We have now been living here 5 months or so and are very happy and content. We love our home and have nice neighbours too.
Overall the quality is as expected or better.
Yes there are more expensive units and fittings available on the market that could have been used by Chestnut but that increases costs anyhow.
During our time living here the building noises and traffic disruption is less than expected and contractors have been helpful if we needed a vehicle moved etc.
Overall we feel we made the right choice and no regrets.

If you’re looking for a new home, Chestnut homes are the perfect company to buy with. My partner and I purchased our first home at the Quadrant in Boston. Kamila, who helped us with our purchase, is the kindest person you’ll ever meet. She’s ever so helpful and will always go above and beyond. We were so lucky she assisted us with our purchase. We used the recommended lawyers and mortgage advisors and I couldn’t recommend doing that enough. This helped make the process run very smoothly and fiddler and pepper (the lawyers) regularly stayed in contact with us. A big thank you to Kamila for helping us get our dream home- you’re truly a credit to Chestnut Homes.

I have just moved in to a timber framed mid terrace house and the amount of impact noise we hear from the neighbours is appalling. Both sides have small children and amount of impact noise that travels through is terrible. My neighbours stairs do not run alongside the party wall but I can still hear them going up and down the stairs we can even hear their dogs going up and down. There is nothing to prevent noise in between the internal walls it is just hollow in between. It is just hollow in between the upstairs floor and the downstairs ceiling which allows noise to travel straight through. My knee cracked while I was kneeling on the upstairs floor and it travelled right through the house. They even have to turn the extractor fan speeds down to minimum as the neighbours can hear it and I was told this by one of the trades people that worked on the house when it was being built. We cannot stand it so we are hopefully moving out after only being here for 6 months. It was a big mistake moving in to this house!

A few months ago I would’ve scored lower than I have. Our journey began well at the Quadrant however due to delays with our lender (covid etc) the management refused to extent our reservation on a property and put it back up as an ‘open reservation’ and found new buyers within a day. The management at Boston isn’t the best. The sales staff however were lovely.
We decided to take our business elsewhere and reserved a plot in Coningsby. This process was a lot more smooth and the management on this site were a lot more understanding and customer focused. The sales team again were fab - friendly, welcoming and very helpful. We love our new home - there are, as expected a few minor issues which the customer service team have always responded to and been helpful with. If it wasn’t for the Coningsby team, I wouldn’t be in my new home and I wouldn’t have gone for chestnut homes. This team deserves some positive recognition.

If I could give a 0 rating, I would. Tread with care when deciding whether to buy from this housebuilder. I experienced some unexpected delays with getting my mortgage approved, which meant I could not meet the completion date I had set with Chestnut Homes when I reserved the property, so I sought an agreement to delay the completion date by 5 working days...a totally inflexible and bullish response by this housebuilder who refused, and even stated that if I did not complete by the date agreed, they would put the property back on the market, even though we would have exchanged contracts. I've bought 3 new homes before from new house builders, and experienced slight delays with two of them - and they were fine to delay completion. Chestnut Homes however show no customer focus and I would certainly recommend buyers to avoid this builder - their only focus is getting the houses sold and such a shame to see such poor customer service and understanding of the issues and pressures that occasionally arise for house buyers, even despite our best intentions ...a little understanding and flexibility by the management at Chestnut Homes would work wonders, but alas, it's not to be....money rules for this housebuilder far more than it's customers

Watch this company like a hawk if you decide to purchase a home from them - used old out of date land plans and then relied on a woolly clause in their contract to get out of putting the matter right - they really are the pits - their attitude is terrible - they don't reply to communications - pretend not to have received emails - all I can say is watch them very carefully.

I would give this a 0 if I could. The finish is poor, the workmanship is poor, the staff are dishonest and lie. There are many, many faults which are poorly rectified or dismissed. Chestnut homes management are poor and the complaints process is inadequate without thorough investigations of complaints, even when presented with evidence before them they are still able to insist their staff are being honest, when all that is required is an acknowledgment that practice fell below standard and an apology. They do not allow reviews to be made on their website or fb page, in fact deleting them and then blocking the negative reviewer. Additionally the positive reviews on Google are made by their own sales staff, which is very misleading, there are many many complainants who are unheard because of the way they are dismissed.
