Chippenham Motor Company KIA John Marchant, Sales - was very obliging with my part exchange and selection of a KIA Soul EV purchase. Explained the process and options carefully and listened to and acted on comments I made regarding my replacement vehicle. Really shows it’s important for peace of mind to buy from established and experienced KIA dealer.

John Marchant was extremely helpful from the first time I made contact with John. At the appointment to view and test drive the car everyone was so welcoming with no pressure or rush at all, making sure we were well informed about the car and giving us ample time to test drive the car which we have now purchased . John is a credit to the business.

Whenever I need parts for my car I always use Chippenham motor company. I always receive excellent customer service from Simon in parts, he is extremely knowledgeable and always delivers the correct part (even when I have a part that is obscure and hard to explain). Considering he works in the department on his own, nothing is ever too much trouble and he seems to go out of his way to help. I recently moved to the Bristol area but will always drive to Chippenham for the service given.

I was after a new car for my wife, of which we purchased one from Chippenham Motor Company, in Wiltshire, albeit we are from Eseex, the whole process was seamless and easy, we dealt with John Marchant, who assisted, very professional in his manner answering any questions we had. Would definatley recommend CMC for any new or used KIA cars.

On the 3rd June 2025 I purchased a car from Chippenham motor company on the way home I found that the Handbrake was not working following morning return to the showroom a few days later went back to get this the problem sorted the young lady was told that it would be fixed under the warranty as I had only just bought it but told I had to pay for the repair staff member was rude in the end did not pay for the repairs.
On the 19th September found that the rear seat belts were not working took the car back to the showroom to get it fixed once again I was told that the repair would be done under the warranty the same young lady that served me before rudely told me I would have to pay for the repair, the warranty from KIA is not worth the paper it is written on, they claim that every vehicle on the lot under goes meticulous inspections to insure it meets their stringent quality standards obviously these checks were not done on this car, they sold me a car not fit for purpose, hand delivered a complaint on the 14th October have not received a reply. Very disappointing customer service I would not recommend them

We recently bought a second hand Kia Picanto. We were met at the showroom by John who was extremely professional and helpful. After letting me test drive it twice we bought it and so glad we did. The car is great and John made the whole process very easy. We would recommend visiting this showroom and shall definitely go back when we need another car. Thanks for all your help John!

I made a 480 mile round trip to buy a low mileage, 10 year old Golf GTI. The car was priced at top retail price being a low mileage, 1 owner car with full service history.
I went to lengths on the phone to understand the condition of the car, which was described to me as "mint", having not had any paintwork repairs, possibly the rear bumper had been painted but if it had it was very hard to tell. On viewing the car I found it had four smart repairs done to a very poor standard, with masking lines, dull paint, heavy orange peel very obvious.
1. Half the front bumper had been painted. 2. The drivers wing. 3. The drivers door. 4. Two thirds of the rear bumper. There were also parking dents in the drivers door (smart repaired over the top of), and scuffs low down on both sides of the front bumper.
The interior of the car was in excellent condition, and it drove very well. However due to the paintwork issues I asked if an allowance could be made on price. The dealership was not interested at all, like it or lump it. I lumped it and came away feeling unsatisfied. The car is booked into my local bodyshop to have both bumpers, door and wing painted properly, at a cost of £700, which includes me stripping and dismantling both bumpers to save on labour cost.
Wouldn't recommend this dealership. This review could have been avoided with a small money off the car to even acknowledge the situation.

The worst dealership i have ever used. Last year I was told my car would be serviced first ( due to my disability) but I was sitting from 08.30 until 15:30! This year i waited 3 weeks for a loan car but when arrived surprise, surprise no loan car! No offer of demonstrator car. At this point I'm not sure how long it will be as i am sat in waiting room now! . Please avoid for servicing . I will change dealer to Bath as I will never use chippinham Kia again! Edit. I described accurately and my extended wait was last service. I am not lying as you are suggesting. I have changed over to Bath Kia so I will have to deal with the incompetence in the future.

I wasn't looking forward to kicking my heels all day whilst my car was diagnosed with the cause of a headlight problem but Ramona Antalburlacu, on the service desk, smoothed the way to a speedy resolution.

Jack went above and beyond to agree a deal on his exdemonstrator Sorento. The car is superb and the tiny little glitches were just my inability to find the settings amongst the many but Jack resolved my problems in minutes. Excellent service, I shall return for servicing and future cars.

I was ready to write a review with a lower rating due to having to wait for somebody to pick up for what seemed like an eternity. If it wasn’t for the guy I spoke with in the parts department, Simon who explained to me that the service department are currently experiencing high volumes of calls due to a recall that Citroen have at the moment.
Even though I wouldn’t have expected him to sort out my issues due to not working in the service department he went above my expectations in listening to troubles with my car, offering his opinion on what it sounds like the issue is. He took all of my details and said that he would make sure someone would call back within the hour.
I am pleased to say I had a call back within about 15 minutes and was able to get a booking time for the next day.
Upon taking my car in the following day and the issues being sorted the fault with the car is exactly what Simon had said it sounded like.
So I’d like to say a big thank you to the service team for being so efficient in getting me booked in but a massive thank you to Simon for going above what he needed to and managing to get this sorted for me. Very knowledgeable and an extremely lovely guy.

We visited the showroom to look at a second hand car. we were lucky enough to have John as the person who helped us.
Our interaction with John Marchant has been excellent. He has been attentive, courteous and responsive. we felt that he considered what we wanted, seriously and was able to match us to the car which we have now bought. there was a minor defect which John ensured was quickly rectified. A very positive experience.

This was resolved so professionally it was really refreshing to see a business with such high customer service ethics. Paul Trinder a senior member of the management team exemplifies great customer service by inspiring a culture of positive attitude, customer facing problem-solving and personal/professional ethics. I am a retired Director of an FTSE business and I recognise great customer service. I've been a customer of Chippenham Motor Company for several years, having had a Kia Ceed as a company vehicle. I recently returned to purchase my first electric vehicle, an EV6, as a replacement. As always, the service was excellent, and I want to give particular praise to Jack Light, who made the entire process smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable.

From the moment I met him, Jack was welcoming, friendly, and thoroughly professional. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and was incredibly knowledgeable about the EV range, explaining the features, performance, and running costs in a clear and simple way. Transitioning to an electric vehicle was a big step, but Jack’s expertise and honest guidance made me feel happier with the move.

It’s rare to find a salesperson who combines genuine enthusiasm with such a customer-first approach. Jack was patient with all my questions and went above and beyond both before and after the sale to make sure I was happy with every aspect of the car and the purchase process.

The marvellous ladies on the Service Department desk and the super lady on main reception, are all exceptionally friendly and helpful. They are an absolute credit to their employers. Then we met Jack Light the salesman, he is cut from exactly the same cloth as his colleagues. A pleasure to deal with and when things went wrong with an item on our new car, Jack (along with Aaron - another superstar, this time from the service department) moved heaven and earth to get it fixed. I would go nowhere else for a car. Check them out, because standards of service like this deserve new business. I can only hope that the management recognise and reward these people for their commitment to excellence, because they deserve it.
