DISAPPOINTING. Ultimately a great product delivered on time BUT expensive and without doubt the most stressful process imaginable. Dreadful communication. No phone number, hopeless chat service that just passes you eventually onto email. Random email replies, none of which quite answer your question. Random incorrect demands for payment. Misleading quoting process. Customer service needs massive improvement - particularly Marcus. Products made in China (not UK).
..Thank you for your response below, What you don't seem to get is that these garments are paid for directly by young individuals, in many cases it's their first experience of buying. These should be your next repeat customers. When you are against a deadline, being told that costs will rise significantly after you've placed the order creates unfair pressure on everyone and leaves a very bitter taste. Especially when enquiries are not answered with sufficient care.
You need to be MUCH more transparent about this before an order is accepted, it was not clear enough.
Demands for further payments (which always came instantly vs the slow responses to questions), should ALWAYS come with a proper explanation, otherwise it just looks greedy.
You may of course ignore my opinion but it you really want to be the best you should consider it.

To clarify for others reading: all pricing is published upfront, with clear quantity-based discounts. In this case, the final unit price changed only because the group didn’t meet the expected order volume — a situation we flagged early and offered several ways to resolve.
Additional charges were only applied in response to order changes made after payment, not as hidden fees. We take care to explain these, but we’ll review this case to ensure communication was as clear as it should’ve been.
All our customer service is handled via email so we can maintain a reliable record of all conversations — and our team responded to your queries promptly with options at every stage.
As stated on our website, we manufacture via trusted partners globally, including in China, to offer the best value while maintaining high standards.
We understand group orders can involve pressure, but that doesn’t excuse mischaracterising the process. We take all feedback on board — but we also stand by how this order was handled.

From the moment I contacted Elliot and the Studio I received a prompt reply and ongoing communication was excellent.
I requested a custom made waistcoat with pictures of my daughter growing up with her Papa for her wedding next week.
The waistcoat arrived to me in the UK and I was overwhelmed at the clarity of the pictures, the precision of the cut was extremely good, the material felt wonderful.
No complaints at all. I wouldn’t hesitate in ordering from Clifton Clothing again despite being thousands of miles away.

Unusable nasty blazer.
Unusable cheap blazer. Made in China. Not the UK. When contacted to complain the response was ‘well it’s what you ordered!’.
In fairness I did not see the cloth before the order. I asked many times for a sample. They refused. Now I know the reason / the cloth is cheap. But it’s a lesson / if you cannot see the cloth, then don’t order the jacket.
They might be fine for a sweatshirt but not for a rowing blazer.
They did ask me to point out the blazer was produced on time. This is true. It still cannot be used but it was not late.
Avoid at all costs. Bruce and Marcus in particular

We’re disappointed by your review, though not surprised given your earlier emails.
To clarify for anyone reading:
Your blazer was produced exactly to your approved specification, using our Year-Round Wool Fabric (280gsm) — a high-quality summerweight wool clearly described on our website and in the Order Pack you signed off prior to production. It is not cheap, and certainly not “unusable.” It was delivered on time, made to your measurements, and produced to a very high standard.
We do offer heavier wools (such as our 450gsm winter wool), but that was not selected. As with all custom orders, fabric swatches are available during production for anyone who wishes to be more hands-on — this was not requested at the correct stage.
As for manufacturing: we work with leading tailoring partners across Asia and Europe — the same facilities used by luxury brands. Comments implying that a product made outside the UK is somehow “cheap” are both inaccurate and regrettably familiar, especially in light of your previous reviews. We are proud to work with skilled makers around the world, and we expect our customers to treat all people involved in our process with respect — regardless of where they live or what language they speak.
Anyone reading this is welcome to judge for themselves. Our fabrics are premium-grade, our process is transparent, and our garments are custom made to order with great care.

I had ordered a custom made rugby jersey, it was made specifically to my requirements. There were many adjustments to the standard template, but it was not too much trouble for them to comply with my wishes. Very happen with what I received and it was delivered when they said it would be also.

Design template was fairly easy to navigate compared to other companies. Quality of the jerseys is good- they have just completed a 3 day cycle tour in France with no issues.

Not great to wonder and will be back
I had to review the set up 3 times which delayed the process and delayed the order being shipped. When I was given the delivery date I was unhappy since I ordered over a month in advance of when I needed them. I have ordered many items that were custom and never had this issue. When I contacted them I was told it was due to approval but I approved immediately each time. I was then told it would be an additional $123 to expedite the order. I refused to pay the additional cost since I did not feel it was my cost to bear. I was pleasantly surprised when they contacted me and said they would expedite the shipment at no additional cost. I received the items quickly after that and was very pleased with the quality. My bowlers loved them and I will order from them again. Knowing their process, I will give them more time to prepare and ship.

Terrible logo placement
I ordered two sweatshirts. One is raglan and the other is drop sleeve. The quality of both garments is fantastic. However, the printed logo placement on the drop sleeve is so far to the side that it gets partially lost in the folds of the shoulder. I specifically asked for help in the logo placement because I'm not a professional and I wanted to make sure it would be printed in a spot that looked good. The raglan logo placement was perfect and I can't understand why they didn't use the same placement, even after I was assured that the logo placement would be the same on both because I wanted them to coordinate. After spending so much on these, I'm really disappointed that it wasn't done right.

As Greg mentioned, we’ve double-checked the final garment against your approved order pack, and the placement was exactly as signed off prior to production. The visual difference you’ve noted is due to the different sleeve constructions — raglan and drop sleeve cuts position the chest panel slightly differently when worn, which can affect how the logo appears.
We completely understand your desire for both items to match more closely, and we appreciate your feedback. It’s something we’ll take into account when advising customers on mixed-style orders going forward.

First-class printing,Horrendous sizing.
The images I sent were great. The printing was outstanding. The material was thicker than I thought it would be. I was hoping for more of a T-shirt than a thick sweatshirt. Maybe I missed something in the notes on the material. However, my biggest disappointment was the sizing. I followed the sizing as outlined methodically and had my wife engaged in getting it right because I wanted no mistakes, given that it was expensive. What I received was far too big- I would estimate two sizes too big. It is so big it is unwearable. I am very disappointed, particularly as the printing itself was first-class. It was to advertise the publishing of my two books....Seems a shame to throw it away. But there is no family member I could class as a giant or super obese. I guess I will have to get rid of it. I don't know the exact date of purchase now, but I received it in February.
