What a great company
What a great company, fantastic and prompt with dealing with the enquiry (This was not a regular simple project) they understood what I wanted and just got it done. Great communication, decent price, fast turnaround for something this custom, will 100% be using them again.

Previous two orders have been fine, most recent order isn’t,
Quality not anywhere near the same even though they say it is.
Something must have changed here, they just argue that whatever you raise is wrong and want more money each step…proceed with caution
Never asked for free embroidery, shirts not the same as previously supplied, but their reply sums them up perfectly, spend your money elsewhere

As Jimmy has already assured you that your order is exactly the same fabric (same fabric mill, same weight) as your last order - this was your third order with us and since your demands for a free embroidery on this order were politely declined we have been sadly expecting this negative feedback regardless of the delivery outcome.
Whist there are continuous edits to this review we must stress the facts - Simon demanded an upgrade, threatened our business and then left a negative review - brands of all sizes must stand up against such behaviour.

Thanks for your message, please note our customer service reps are instructed to handle all enquiries via email or live chat so that there is a record of requests made and any responses, when dealing with complex designs this is necessary to avoid misinterpretation. Our service holds an excellent rating here and on other review sites, and we review all feedback to continuously improve our products and processes.
As international business we have operations around the world - for our British customers we clear goods into the UK on their behalf and pay all duties and VAT due on them at that point to ensure that the price you see is the final and transparent price - we do not charge our customers VAT.
With regards to your order, a support ticket has been opened and our records show that your emails have all been replied in a timely manner with a full replacement of that order sent to you based on the order pack details which you approved of prior to the replacement being arranged.

Silky smooth repeat Order for Burwell Cycle Club
This is the 2nd Cycle jersey order we've placed with Clifton. We ordered the Curzon (all season fabric) which with its 4-way stretch fabric was true to our regular jersey fit and has a silky feel.
We requested a few alterations like 2" longer short sleeves & the option of Raglan sleeve & Clifton design and manufacture helped steer on how best to make work with our selected jersey design and custom logo.
In total x45 quality jerseys delivered within 4 week of design signed off. Club are delighted & proud to wear their jerseys. We look forward to placing a 3rd order!!

Ordered a cycling jersey for my husband ,it was easy to order .
The options for colours etc were great , and when ordering the checks were greatly appreciated.
Any email correspondence was answered quickly.

We ordered Clinton's Zephyr T Shirts for the KCS 1st 8 to wear at Henley Royal Regatta. The service was great. Efficient and quick and the crew LOVE their tops. They wore them to warm up for each race and looked super smart. They had lots of compliments. Thank you – would definitely recommend and use again in future.

Impossible to talk to anyone on the…
Impossible to talk to anyone on the phone so I was forced to put through the flawed design on the website and told that I could amend it after. Although not told I could only amend by email which can be hard to explain in writing but I did my best back and forth about 3-4 times until I was told to pay more for any other modifications! I made them aware I was getting this design right for a retail store that were about to put in a huge order had it been correct! Obviously that will not be happening, the design was poor and the quality was worse. Cycling jersey is a ton weight, I definitely do not recommend this company!

Thank you for your message here. Please note that our team has explained to you on every request that was chargeable and you were notified of these extra charges in the order pack email prior to you requesting additional design amendments. These are also listed on our website as chargeable extras.
Our colleague Jimmy had also taken extra time to ensure you do not make excessive amendments and compiled all the change requests to clarify all your requests were included in the amended design.
As such, saying it was 'impossible' to adjust the design would be untrue as the email correspondence shows our team has spent a considerable amount of time preparing the design change to meticulous detail to which you have approved the design and signed off for the same.
With regards to the print quality, our team had emailed you a few times in June that if you provide a non-vector format file and approve use of the same, the print quality will be limited to the file we were provided and will pixelate when enlarged.
Lastly, the fabric selected when you placed the order was polycotton fabric upgrade which is a heavier weight, higher durability fabric where the trade off will be less stretch and comfort to our default cycling jersey fabric.
If the specific fabric and artwork requirements were made known to us we would have informed you of what is required to fabricate the jersey for you to your exact specifications.

What a company to find!!
I happened to stumble on Clifton Clothing when searching for a company that did ‘old style’ rugby shirts for my Leavers. I have to say the service has been amazing, professional and personal from start to finish. I designed what I wanted, Clifton checked with me before production, we tweaked and they re sent proofs. Every step was explained and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for bespoke clothing with attention to detail and fabulous customer care … Look no further. Thanks Clifton I will back next year.

This is the first negative review I…poor excuse about winter shirts , you had enough chances to explain this before conning me . Despicable company
This is the first negative review I have ever felt the need to write.
Having used Clifton previously I wanted to ask if the sizes were still the same and quality still as good
Virtually impossible to speak to anyone.
Eventually I was assured by Bruce that they were.
It was very difficult to design the shirts we wanted as the design portal had a glitch , then the order form couldn’t be amended on a I phone.
Email after email ensued , to the point where I asked to cancel the order, even though I hadn’t submitted the final design I was told that it couldn’t be cancelled.
The Alarm bells were ringing. Confusion over deliver date ! So once again asked to cancel ! Can’t be done I was told .
At this point when order had been submitted I realised that what sounds like a British shirt manufacturer is importing the shirts from China.
So I wasn’t surprised when the quality and size of the shirts was absolutely nothing like my original Clifton cycling shirt ( that I still wear )
As previous reviews state , no apologies , no responsibility taken by the company.
I could go on and on but I wasted enough time and money ( £240 ) for shirts that don’t fit and nothing like original shirt sizes . Actually 5 inches shorter
Please read other negative reviews or prepare to be totally disappointed , poor lame excuse about previous order being winter shirts , you had plenty of chances to explain this prior to order . Despicable company avoid

Your previous order (in 2016) was for our winter cycling jersey and we still sell this shirt on our website, however your order this year however was for our Baobab Summer Cycling Jersey which is advertised as being engineered in a lightweight and breathable fabric. They are different products.
The vast majority of our feedback and reviews are incredibly positive and we always look for learnings from those with less positive experiences.

UPDATE: Please read negative reviews before using this company - those reviews are genuine and accurate.
- Response given is far removed from the facts and accuses me of dishonesty, now in a public forum (which is defamatory). "Marcus'" attempts to gaslight me appear to match the experiences of other customers: another reviewer experienced the same notwithstanding the fact that he was buying clothing for a charity.
- Still, no one from the company has contacted me by telephone. I have only received hostile and defensive correspondence in writing. It is alarming that this company will not treat its customers with human dignity, especially after Bruce Elliot was so eager for me to submit the order and transfer the price.
Original review:
- Bruce Elliot was extremely swift to contact me as soon as I’d requested call back from website
- I gave express instructions regarding our design
- I paid £412
- the shirts were significantly different to the design. The difference went beyond an acceptable margin of difference as indicated in the Ts&Cs
- the colours of the shirts bled on washing when washed in accordance with washing instructions
- Bruce Elliot has ignored all of my correspondence since problems arose
- his team have responded defensively and evasively, asserting without basis that the shirts comply with the design and that the fabrics did not bleed on washing - effectively accusing me of dishonesty
- his team have refused to send me a refund and have demanded I ship the shirts to Hong Kong at my own expense despite my explanation that this puts me at unacceptable risk
I have been in correspondence with this team for over a month to no avail.

I have reviewed each issue raised and see that you have been in direct email correspondence with two members of our customer service team who have replied quickly to every message quickly and with friendliness. Not a single message has been ignored.
The facts are the shirts were ordered and delivered to you within 2 weeks of order approval, on receipt you advised the design did not match the order pack. This was checked and found not to be the case, it was communicated back to you that all the details were exactly as per the approved order pack but regardless an offer was made for you to return the shirts and we could make a fresh batch for you in a different design, as a gesture of goodwill.
Unhappy with this response it was at this point you 'discovered' further issues and made threats of legal action and online reprisals should we not refund you without you returning the shirts which it was clear at this point you had used. As our quality control process is robust - the fabric for each order is steam-treated before production to ensure shrink and colour fastness - we have great faith in the quality of our products but have still also tested the same fabric used for your since your complaint and cannot replicate the claimed issue.
We are proud to make shirts for thousands of customers around the world - from large businesses to small polo teams and fashion labels - we always work with our customers to ensure satisfaction however in cases where unreasonable demands are made we must draw a line in the sand and move on.

Team cycle tops a great success
I have to say that I am hugely impressed by your service. The design and personal help was superb and the delivery time was excellent. The product itself was spot on for our needs especially with the long zip. My friends love the cycle top and people have been asking where we got it done which is great. The quality is fine and hopefully after a few washes it still should be perfect.
I am most grateful for your smooth service and you alleviated much of the worry from the process due to your constant updates which were very helpful.
