I received a coat, but two sizes bigger than what I ordered. The company's response has just been to ask me to keep it and to offer a refund: first 25%, then 50%, finally 75%. They have refused, in breach of the consumer rights legislation, to refund me 100% or to pay for return of the item. Don't buy anything from them; they're not a legitimate business.

I bought a couple of jackets from them and was pretty worried that they would be terrible because I hadn't checked reviews before I bought them. But to be honest when they came they were fine.

They were "70% off" and I had I paid their full price I would have felt scammed because they aren't the best quality. But for casual jackets they are fine.
I would probably buy from a more reputable company in the future. They clearly are not being truthful about where they are located and how old the company is, but all told for the price I paid, I got the same value had I bought locally.

Rubbish

My husband bought a coat from this company which was delivered yesterday. It's absolute rubbish. Details state it is made from "tailored cotton" - no way is this hideous garment made out of any sort of cotton
They state is has 70% off and would normally cost £320 - anyone who pays anything over £10 for this Smithfield Peacoat needs to go to Durham to get an eyetest!

To compound matters, when asking to return they offer a 25% refund to keep the damn thing or want us to pay for postage for the return! Avoid at all costs.

Disgraceful company! I had bought a coat that once recieved looked nothing like the images on the website. I also followed there guide to fit, which I ordered a medium, was extremely large on me.
I now would have had to pay to return the item which came from China to America. What a joke!
Lesson learnt! I will not be doing this kind of thing again.

Don't deal with them.

Fishy sales tactics (Facebook page with layout used by many others and a claim of "closing down sale"). No notification of shipment. Late arrival. Refused to exchange the item that didn't fit. Questionable quality for the price paid.

It's not a scam as in: I have received the clothes and it sort of looks like the clothes on the website, but it's not at all worth the money. the quality is poor and the sizes doesn't match. You should stay away from this.

It is a CON !

i paid £220.00 for the goods which never arrived. I chased and chased and was eventually offered a 50% refund - for goods i actually had never received.

Never mind, good old AMEX refunded me my money and coat london and con someone else !

Its a scam alright. No refund policy. They withdraw money when they send and the package turns up a month later and you have to pay import taxes. I will not waste further money on picking up the items.

The quality isn't horrific, I might pay £30 for what I received, not £118, and that's with the -too good too be true- discount.

Do not fall prey to clever and yet unscrupulous marketing tactics. The company uses "smoke and mirrors" to lure you in to the short con - the heavy discounts, the branding with its misleading "Est.1923" and the photoshopped product images all play a part in leading you to believe you've found a truly good bargain. And just when you start to question whether it's too good to be true, the deal sealer of the short con lands...... you're offered a further 10% discount, only to trigger a 15min time restriction to cash it in and hence distracting you away from your concerns. Never have the phrases "con merchant" and "too good to be true" been more appropriate. The reality is you'll receive a low quality and ill-fitting product, made in a Chinese knock-off factory and suitable only to be sold from an east London street market stall for £10. The coat I purchased was certainly not worth the £90 I paid let alone the £330 pre-discount price displayed. And to add insult to injury the customs declaration documents even valued the coat at USD$13!

I wish I read reviews before making the poor and hasty decision to purchase from this site. However, I do take my hat off to them because they really do reel you in and I fell for it hook line and sinker. It's the perfect short con and even though having worked for 20yrs in marketing, I was duped and in a momentary lapse of judgement made a willing decision, be it a very poor one.

Unfortunately, they have not committed an offence and there is no recourse for being played for a fool. A valuable reminder that you get what you pay for, and in this case, I paid £90 to be reminded not to be a cheapskate!

Very, very poor quality and definitely not value for money. Delivery direct from China takes weeks and weeks with hopeless tracking.
I complained about the quality and was offered a 35% discount. When I declined I was told to send the products to an address in the US or I could accept a discount of 50%.
My advice is to avoid at all costs. The products are massively over priced and not worth the money. Not a scam but very close.

BIG SCAM.

It looks nice, but it is not. The size chart is off, the quality of the product is poor and transportation took a loong time. I was trapped due to a facebook add where lots of people had commented on them. I took this as a positive sign and though to myself - this is probably a good deal. Well, it was not. I bought three items and threw away both jackets... No recommendation from here!

Ordered one jacket and one coat from their website. Was shipped from China and when they arrived I found my coat and jacket in really poor quality and oversized compared to their fitting guidelines. Can definitely not recommend purchasing from them..

It's a scam. Wish quality goods.

Like others fell for this as saw on Facebook, and website looked professional.
Ordered a few jackets, and they all did arrive. However two are so small they don’t fit at all, and the others either look nothing like what I ordered or terrible quality.
In fairness when I complained they did offer a 50% refund, and after looking into cost of returning, I accepted and received it today.
I would avoid for sure

Very cheap, very nasty products...badly made and incredibly tacky.

They have promised to refund....but over a week later there is absolutely no sign of a single penny in my account from Coat London.

This is essentially a scam - please don't give them any money! I am in the UK and must have been tired and hungry as well as stupid for falling for it after engaging with one of the ubiquitous instagram adverts claiming 80% reductions due to the website closing soon. Coats look good on the website but when they arrive from China they are cheap and nasty. If you want to return them it costs a hefty whack to return it tracked to California (as they insist on). And so they suggest you keep them and they will refund you 30% of your money and don't tell you the return address. If you persist they suggest you keep them for 50% refund but give you the address. You then find out how much it costs to send back (NB you are supposed to do this within 30 days according to their policy - it arrived at Day 28, although this was presumably partly due to the lockdown), which was £90 together (for three coats, yes I was really stupid), or £65 separately-packaged. At this point I emailed back to say fine, please refund me, which - to their credit - they did promptly, but they are still making a killing on this, for nasty cheap coats.

Very poor, coat ordered in XXL, turned up about 42-44 chest & sleeves finish halfway up my arms, despite this had to pay to send it back to California and I’m awaiting refund.
I was offered 33% off if I kept the item, when I refused I was offered 50% off. The website says “locally sourced UK materials & made in UK”, well unless they ship them to China and back to UK, that’s just rubbish, much the same as the poor quality rag they sent me.
Visa described it as “A SCAM”. Avoid getting caught.

Scam, but not a complete Scam.
Ordered 2 items on 1st April 2020, then read reviews, so did not expect to turn up as seemed like a completly fake company.
Had several email conversations with a "George Webber" who assured me the items would turn up.
Well package has just arrived, 1st May 2020, so only 1 month to come all the way from China.
Kirkintilloch Jacket (large): Not Leather as advertised, Too small. I am 178cm, 75kg, 34 waist, 38 chest and it does not fit me when wearing just a t-shirt.
Quality of workmanship very poor. They claim originally £228, now £69. Not worth more than £10.
Alpina Parka (Large): bit better fit, but certainly not made to endure the rain and snow in the UK.
Avoid buying, though they are a genuine company, goods are of really questionable quality, and certainly not worth even the new discounted price.
