Steer well clear!! Sold me a Gretsch stop sign badge kit on eBay, the toms are Gretsch but the bass drum is a Ludwig Accent from 30 years ago with a Gretsch badge stuck on it.
How someone who claims to be a vintage drum restorer who’s bought and sold Gretsch drums for at least 15 years and even owns them doesn’t know the difference between a cheap Asian bass drum and a USA Gretsch I’ll never know, he also claimed that the rewrap on the kit ‘seems professionally done’ but if this is indicative of his standards as a restorer I wouldn’t trust him with anything of mine.
So far my dealings with him have ended up costing me hundreds, there’s enough drums around for you to not have to give this guy your money and I’d highly recommend that you don’t.
