Countdown Spitfire Square, Christchurch Airport.
Walk up to the checkout with a full trolley, no staff at any of the checkouts, only one person at the self service and one at the desk. After a few minutes the person at the desk was told to come and serve us “reluctantly’. No hello and acknowledgment, started pushing our groceries aggressively over the scanner like it was our fault she had to work. It was an uncomfortable situation. Will not be visiting that Countdown again.

Purchase some meat at Mt eden countdown.416 grams include 621 grams of plattic
Checking at the blister pack I would like to know if the weights of the packing is included in the price/weight and the 62 grams of the plastic denied the elimination of the plastic bags. 6.7 % of the product is waste

Doordash free delivery scam

The Doordash app refused to accept my order for a small spend of $25 when using their free delivery option of purchasing two items on the list. I ordered two ice creams and a loaf of bread. Then the app said the payment page was not working. I inferred that it was because I was not spending enough. If that is the case, they are crooks!

If I could give a 0 star review I…

If I could give a 0 star review I would. My shopping was delivered today and I was extremely unhappy to see I was missing over $300 worth of my shopping which I ordered a total $528.35 and they only supplied over $200 worth… I contacted the store and their excuse was “out of stock” for all the missing items…. Such as the basics like milk and bread? Couldn’t even supply a bottle of milk yet when I phoned the store they said it was all in stock?? And the best they could do was give me a refund which I will receive in 2-3 business days?! It is Saturday today and I have a family of 5 to feed but they told me to go and do another online order for all the things I’m missing and they will deliver them today but who has another $300 spare to do another shop?! So I just wait till next week to feed my family? Really poor from Woolworths. Definitely will not be shopping here again. Considering we spend a minimum of $500 a week with you guys you’ve now lost a customer. Too many slip ups from your end for my liking . I have had to request too many refunds now from you missing my items and your customer service is absolutely shit show.

Woolworths ferrymead not a great experience

Woolworths ferrymead had low stock on fruit and veg, staff were stocking shelves but insufficient staff to keep up with produce required. Looks like poor management as it often occurs. Checkouts insufficient staff with long queues, not all counters opened.
Staff appeared stressed and customer focus poor.

I buy their $6 Ham Baguettes daily.
Today they were a third smaller for the same Baguettes
Now they get 3 instead of 2 from 1 French Bread Stick.
I mentioned it and was told it was just the way they came out this morning?
Really?
I'll look again tomorrow

Product quality and value for money

Prices obviously, but product quality particularly vegetables are shocking. It is almost as though buyers deliberately buy seconds. Onions, shocking, washed potatoes, need the change the wash water at least once a year. Disgusting. Too often, goods are on or within days of best by. Best by far is "Delivery" always on time, polite, friendly and helpful.

Good staff

Auckland Takanini Countdown Lady Staff named Rupinder had been so kind and patient in helping me out to find somethings that I wanted from the chiller. I was searching it for quite a bit of time. Immediately she came towards me and politely asked what I was looking for?
She sort out all the things I needed and asked if I am okay. I gave her my thanks and said “ your customer service is remarkable “

Intimidating treatment from staff

I was treated in a very intimidating way tonight by a staff member in the Whakatane store. I was there with my teenage daughters and if they had been spoken to in that manner I would have been horrified!

Called the call center

Called the call center. Said I want to make a general enquiry. They asked for my details, SAID want to make a general enquiry, they wouldn't help until I gave it. I said what my query was after I had to give my details.

Thing is I was in the middle of their busy store after going to another store to find oxo cubes had run out. This other store had also run out. Trying to find out which store by me had lamb oxo in store.

But everyone in store got to hear my details, didn't help it was raining, so I couldn't go outside.

Online delivery

Online delivery, missing bags, third time this has happened. Have to go through each individual item to request refund, then have to go in store to manually purchase the missing items, after paying for the delivery. What a scam! Stay away from woolworths, they are a rip off.

Terrible online checkout again

Terrible online checkout again. 20mins after doing online order before system would stop the circling grey dots and bring up my card details so I could actually complete order. Happens so often, every other order. Terrible IT for what is a massive, well funded company. If I could give u a zero for my experience I would

I shopped at Countdown Rangitiki . NEVER AGAIN st…

I shopped at Countdown Rangitiki st Palmerston North today . I used to be a loyal customer until the state of the Broadway / Albert st store took a tumble into , not so good on display , product , staffing and general tardiness of the store . However called into what I thought would be an ok visit to a larger store . Was pleasantly surprised with store .
At the checkout it all fell apart . I offered two of my bags , plenty for what I was buying . Large milk , bottle of wine , tinned goods , potatoes being the heaviest of items which were all stuffed into one bag along with a lot of smaller items . Bread , buns and small items into secong bag . Operator could hardly lift heavily laden bag across the counter for me to put into the trolley !!!
I remarked how heavy and silly this was with another bag that had 2 items in it . He apologised and said it was silly , but still watched me pick up the heavy bag and put into my trolley .,he tried then to rectify the problem but I was too darned angry at his stupidity to let him make more of a mess .
I am 76 yrs able person . I will not be back .
