I wanted to leave an honest and balanced review of my experience with Creative Scotland.

My main issue throughout the process has been communication. I waited over three weeks for a return call from a Director following my request, but unfortunately that never happened. If senior management can’t return a call, it does make you question how communication filters through the rest of the business.

To be clear, I am happy with the final result, but that is entirely down to the sub-contracted installers, who were professional and did an excellent job. They are paid separately and I would absolutely recommend them.

The issues began early on. The bathroom was initially designed incorrectly after a missed appointment, which I had to chase myself. Measurements were eventually taken, but by then the original consultant had left the company, meaning someone else had to pick up the enquiry. This led to further uncertainty and delays.

Due to the number of red flags, I requested a meeting to decide whether to proceed. I was reassured that everything would be checked and double-checked before ordering and installation. On that basis, I agreed to move forward.

Unfortunately, a number of issues still occurred:

My original installation date couldn’t go ahead due to a cracked basin and damaged wall panels. When I suggested using the identical basin from the Edinburgh showroom, this wasn’t taken forward.

On the day of installation, the wrong size shower tray was delivered — despite assurances everything had been checked.

Panelling boxes arrived unopened, making it unclear how checks had been carried out.

The wrong shower valve was delivered.

The custom-built basin and toilet cistern top were the wrong size.

The basin tap arrived without a fixing bracket.

A replacement tap bracket was sent, but arrived without the bracket again, which I was advised was due to a faulty batch.

Creative took full payment for all hardware prior to installation, yet these repeated issues suggest gaps in process, quality control, and internal communication.

In summary, I would recommend the installers, but my experience with Creative Scotland themselves was frustrating and unnecessarily stressful. There is clearly a breakdown somewhere in communication and checking procedures that needs addressing.

We had a new bathroom installed last year and although it looks nice there were a few hiccups along the way. The customer service once we had purchased the bathroom was non existent. The fitters were too rushed. The design was changed slightly on the advice of the fitters as it wasn’t going to work. Despite the designer saying she couldn’t wait to see the finished result we never heard from her again. The shower tray has the drain right at opening door of tray so appears to have been the wrong tray for the bathroom. Wouldn’t use this company again.

liked the initial process and design of our dressing room and although we love the end product, we had to contend with a few hiccups along the way.
We also thought it would have been courteous of the company to call and ask our thoughts on the service provided.

We had a media wall fitted earlier this year. Everything was first class and Scott made a brilliant job of fitting it.Would definitely recommend.

From entering the showroom I was made feel welcome. Sandra the designer knew straight away what our vision was and the service was outstanding. I was kept up to date with all the progress and when it was going to be fitted. The fitters were all amazing and so friendly. They have done an outstanding job and no mess left. I can’t recommend them enough and will 100% use them again for further home improvements. Thought it was a lovely touch that the director comes out to your home to inspect bathroom and got a beautiful bouquet of flowers 💐

Recently had a new kitchen installed.
From the start was very impressed by their professionalism and attention to detail.
Customer service was excellent, any issues or concerns dealt with appropriately and in a timely manner.
Kitchen fitters were excellent, hardworking and went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with the installation throughout.
The quality of the units, fitting etc. are second to none.
Can't thank Mark and his team enough for their service and attention.
Would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get a new kitchen.
Definitely use this company again for any future renovations.

We would like to thank Alan and his team at Creative Homes Scotland for an excellent service. Creative Homes undertook the renovation of our kitchen and bathroom at our home in Edinburgh. Both exceeded our expectations. We found the team at Creative Homes to be very friendly and hard working. Alan helped us immeasurably throughout the whole process and Mick, who fitted both our kitchen and bathroom, was particularly helpful. We found the staff at the Glenrothes and the Edinburgh showrooms, when we visited both, were very attentive in answering any questions we might have. Working with a family run business meant that we had very good service from Alan’s team at different stages of the whole process. We have no hesitation in recommending Creative Homes Scotland.

I want to extend a huge thank you to Alan and the team for fitting my kitchen and bedroom. The kitchen is absolutely what I envisioned. I’m thrilled with the colour palette, and there’s more than enough storage to keep everything organised. The wardrobe and desk fit perfectly into the bedroom and really complement the space. The quality of the products is excellent, and any issues that came up during the process were addressed and resolved quickly and without any hassle. I couldn't be happier with the end result!

We saw the advert for kitchens on tv and thought we’d go along for a look, we were met at the door by Alan who was very professional. Alan asked what we were looking for and within no time Alan was at my house and designed my beautiful kitchen. Stevie the fitter was brilliant as was Tony the electrician, everything went to plan and did an amazing job. The unique design provided encouraged us to choose Creative Homes for our new kitchen. Despite a few hiccups we are delighted with the finished result. Alan and his team provided reassurance and resolved issues as they arose in a friendly and professional manner

We had some fitted wardrobes installed last year. We are extremely happy with the finished product, however there were a couple of issues. Despite the job being measured twice it was still wrong. The fitters were great, but had to cut the two end wardrobe carcasses to size themselves. This meant the doors didn't fit. We were told the new doors would be delivered a week later at 8.00 am. I had a phone call at ten minutes to eight on the arranged day to say our doors were in Newcastle !! Fair play the fitters drove to Newcastle and returned to complete the job. No apology or offer of compensation was offered. Initial contact excellent, Product excellent, fitters excellent, admin side awful.

Excellent customer service and my kitchen design is beyond my dreams!

Overall, a very positive experience. Our salesperson, Ken was very knowledgeable and throughout the process he was great at sorting any issues we had. Our joiners, Liam and Blue were great, keeping us informed and cleaning up afterwards. There were a couple of snagging issues which it took a little bit to resolve and we did have a problem getting information initially until we got Ken involved. At that point Derek sorted the snagging efficiently and effectively.

From opening the door to the showroom our treatment could not be better. Nathan took us through all our options. He showed us how the units are built from scratch by the craftsmen on site. All our options were covered when Nathan did an on site visit. Confirmation of our ideas were gone over when we visited the showroom to view the drawings. Alan gave us a price that would not be bettered by other established firms. I would certainly recommend this local company.

Huge thank you to Alan and the team at creative homes scotland. We now have a beautiful modern fitted bedroom that looks amazing as well as being functional. The whole experience was stress free from our visit to the show room followed by the planning and design then finally the installation which was done with minimum disruption. Alan offered advice and ideas on how to best use our available space which was a great help for us, we would recommend creative homes scotland if your looking for quality products and great service.

Got my two bedroom wardrobes done very happy with the result. Alan and the team at creative homes were just fab from start to finish they met my expectations for my wardrobe ideas, everything is custom made in their factory. My wardrobe now has plenty storage space, i was very pleased with my 1st wardrobe that i then went ahead and got Alan to design my daughters wardrobe too which looks amazing. Everything went smoothly my order was delivered undamaged and on the agreed date. Alan i will definitely be coming back for my other bedroom wardrobes, I would definitely recommend creative homes to everyone I know.

As a new start up business, with a limited budget Creative Homes Scotland were able to provide us with modern, quality, bespoke, fixtures and fittings for our staff break out areas and meeting room. All cabinets were made to measure, utilising the space that we had and giving us plenty of storage. Alan and his team were fantastic from start to finish, "Creative Homes" outshone the bigger companies that we had in to quote for the work! From design to price and also installation time everything was spot on. Thank you!

Creative Homes have transformed my bathroom from one that I didn't want to go in to one I can't stay out of. It was a big job which I wasn't looking forward to as it was being taken right back to the bare bones, it was tiled floor to ceiling, alot of work before it could be redesigned. Ken in the showroom was so nice to deal with and his design was just what I was looking for. The job started bang on time and all the trades worked well together making it alot less stressful. Each trade didn't finish until their bit was done ready for the next trade coming in.
The bathroom was finished in 4 days, amazing. I am so happy I went to Creative Homes Scotland and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you are looking to do some renovations. They are excellent.

Alan and the team at Creative Homes Scotland supplied us with a quality kitchen for our new build. We went in with a drawing that and quote we had done by another company and we couldn't believe the improvements that Alan and Janet made over the original drawing so it was a no brainer for us. They are also an approved retailer for Porcelanosa so we're able to manufacture and supply us with beautiful Krion worktops and
a splashback with built in shelves that looks stunning. We made a few small revisions through the process and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to visit the workshop as the kitchen was being manufactured where they use the latest technology to ensure the accuracy of the products. Delivered undamaged on the agreed date, a pleasure to deal with and competitive prices, what more could you ask for.
