Amazing place, I felt very safe leaving our dog with the staff who were great and very caring for him! 2 weeks training completed and what a difference!

I have been aware of and followed DDR guard dogs for several years now. I arranged for board and play for my boxer dog for a duration of two weeks. Upon my arrival,I was welcomed by friendly staff. Everything was thoroughly explained to me, and I was given a tour of the facilities. Updates regarding my dog were provided every two days. They engaged in various activities with my dog each time, ensuring he remained both physically active and mentally stimulated. When I picked up my dog, I received feedback on his behaviour during his stay, along with recommendations on how to support his development moving forward. The staff were very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. I traveled by train with my dog from North London for two hours to DDR guard dogs, but the assurance that my dog was safe and well cared for means everything to me. I would not consider leaving my dog anywhere else now. I highly recommend DDR guard dogs . Being away and knowing that I do not have to worry or stress about my dog is invaluable. Thank you, DDR guard dogs. Absolutely fantastic.

Amazing from start to finish! If I could give 10* I would! Amazing staff, that are genuinely invested in the dogs. Amazing communication throughout. Very caring staff. Video updates daily. Amazing results. Bens dog food is also amazing and Chase won’t eat anything other now!
Couldn’t recommend DDR Guard Dogs enough

We sent our cane corso bleu for board and train why we was on holiday. He has come back with better manors, he has also come back happy and was well cared for here. I’m surprised how well he progressed in such a short period of time he stayed there. On collection we was also taken through all the training the team had been doing with him, in order for us to carry it on at home. We now feel confident going forward with the tools and techniques we was given for him going forward. The training team are very knowledgeable and professional, they also supplied raw food to him why he was there, which really helped has he is fed a raw diet. I Would highly recommend these guys, also I was sent lots of videos and updates why we was away. Thank you DDR guard dogs.

Our 18 month old dog went in for the 2 week Board & Train. We were nervous leaving him that long for the first time, but DDR made us so reassured. They explained everything thoroughly and had daily update videos which were always awesome to receive. Our dog learned a lot and got valuable training to help keep him and us safe at all times which just makes the experience of having a dog so much better. We highly recommend you use DDR.

These guys are utterly phenomenal. Had both my dogs booked in on the training camp, twice and each time we have come away having had such a great experience.
The dogs both absolutely love it, the training is better than A Class and the communication is wonderful. We received plenty of videos, then on collection, a thorough run through of everything that’s been done and how to implement it at home.
It’s such a relief to be able to go away, knowing my babies are in such good hands.
In fact, I travel over 100 miles to this facility. If I could give more than a 10/10, I truly would!

We have visited twice before leaving our dog for training, had a chance to speak to various people and ask every question. Trainers also showed us few things and explained what we can do to prep our dog better. Thanks to that communication and the skills of the trainers, our baby girl did amazing and we accomplished all goals we wanted.

Staff are all brilliant & were so good with our dog when dropping her off calmed her very Quickly when needed

We have always had a dog but Ziva is our first large breed she’s a Rottweiler.
We had managed to train her to a basic standard but she did things in her own time.
After a 3 week stay Ziva is looking for instruction now. She responds to each command quicker and enjoys the practicing to heal and down commands especially when playing ball.
She barks less at night and appears to bark only when there is something or some noise nearby which she perceives as unusual.
Whilst she was away we received daily videos charting her progress which helped us see what she was learning and consoled us too.
On picking Ziva up we had our own training with her and Connie who was fabulous. All the staff were friendly and dog conscious. We couldn’t have left her there if we hadn’t felt that instantly.
We would have no hesitation in recommending DDR Guard dogs to anyone who loves their dog.

As a first-time dog owner, I found myself really struggling — to the point where I felt overwhelmed and ready to give up. Then I found DDR Guard Dogs, and they truly changed everything for me and my cocker spaniel, Milo.

When I first reached out, Milo was 19 months old and full of energy. I booked him in for a 2-week training camp because I was having issues with pulling on the lead, poor recall, non-stop barking in the car, and a general inability to calm down. From the moment we got in touch, the team was incredible — always friendly, supportive, and happy to answer my many questions. They clearly know their stuff.

Throughout his training, I received regular videos, which was such a comfort — it was amazing to see Milo learning and actually enjoying himself. When I came to collect him, the team took the time to walk me through everything he'd learned and how to continue reinforcing it at home.

The results after just two weeks were brilliant. On the drive there, Milo had barked non-stop for the full hour — on the way back, he didn’t make a sound. It was like I had a different dog.

I also mentioned that I was struggling with Milo’s diet — he’d been having constant issues with loose stools, whether on kibble or raw, and he was overweight. Ben’s Raw Food changed everything. His digestion improved almost immediately, he lost weight, and he’s been much calmer overall. I now order it every month and wouldn’t dream of switching. Do ask Ben or the team for more information!

Since then, Milo has been back for a two-week board and play while I recovered from surgery — and he’s going again next week while I’m away for a long weekend. The 2-hour round trip is 100% worth it knowing he’s happy, safe, and having a great time.

Odin has stayed here many times doing training and board & play.
The training really helped with the final touches of persistent obedience which i was struggling with.
Odin gets very excited when he stays here and always has the best time and seems to have built good bonds with multiple handlers.
The facilities for the dogs are great as Odin loves the assault courses where he can earn some treats.
Odin has always come back clean and happy, sometimes just a little tired from all of the excitement.
I would recommend to anyone who needs training or just simple board and play.

We were having issues with our dog Rex who is an anxious reactive rescue dog with six months police training. We put him into boot camp for 7 days as he tried to bite someone. We were impressed with the level of training and facilities. The two members of staff Connie & Paul were exceptional. Although one week is not very long and we have a long journey ahead we can already see improvements in Rex’s behaviour. For example, he no longer barks aggressively at neighbours dogs, he is more attentive and his obedience although good has further improved. We look forward to the further training we have scheduled with DDR Guard dogs. They are very professional and care about your dog. They have also
Asked us to send our own training video’s so they can support further. Cannot recommend them enough.

A True Hero – Thank You, Ben!

I cannot express enough gratitude towards Ben from DDR. While I was away on holiday, Ben noticed something wrong with my beloved Shar Pei, Rex. Thanks to his incredible eye for detail and genuine care, he spotted an issue with Rex’s eyes and a concerning skin tag that I would have otherwise missed.

Without hesitation, Ben took Rex straight to the vets and even kept him safe and cared for in his own home while I was away. He went above and beyond, treating Rex like his own, ensuring he received the attention he urgently needed.

Ben’s actions quite literally saved my dog’s life. It’s rare to come across someone so compassionate, trustworthy, and dedicated. I will forever be grateful for what he did for Rex and for me. He is an absolute legend, and I would recommend Ben and DDR to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Ben — you are truly one of a kind!

Junior, our dog is playful and energetic. The place offered him the chance to use up his energy. With the games they offered , he also had to use his brains to figure out the treats. They are patient and loving. We had videos of him sent regularly. We have no doubt he had 12 good days of play

Absolutely Superlative!

It is an honour to be able to post this review to commend Ben and all the team at DDR for what
has been, and continues to be, the most perfect and professional experience, always exceeding
our hopes and expectations!!! The extraordinary care, knowledge, dedication and honesty that
have gone into this process have meant that we have our beautiful Rome, who has totally
enhanced our family life and is as much a cherished and loving member of the family as she is
trusted and loyal protector.
From our very first phone call with Ben, it became apparent that not only was he the leader of
the field in terms of knowledge, but more importantly the epitome of integrity. Although we have
had dogs all our lives, we were very new to the area of protection dogs and could easily have
been taken advantage of. It was the total opposite with Ben. Before we even discussed the
possibility of us having a DDR guard dog, we were asked a lot of questions to ascertain whether
we could truly offer a safe and happy home with our family for a DDR dog. We had some ideas
that would have come at a higher price point, such as having two dogs, but we were guided
away from these as they would have been untenable for our family. The welfare of the dog and
our family have always come first.
Through careful assessment and guidance, it was agreed that a female Chinese Red Dog
(Laizhou Hong) was the perfect choice for our family and that that we would have a puppy and
embark on the Zero to Hero program as a family. This was the best decision ever made!!
The zero to hero programme has been an amazing experience. Every step of the process has
been faultless. The first phone-call, the first visit, homestays, family training, expert advice,
practical help, specially created food even a whatsapp group for pics and updates- the list is
endless. DDR have truly gone above and beyond in ensuring that we have the most perfect
family protector and companion. The whole team represent the ultimate level in dedication and
commitment, and ensure that as owners, we too show the same levels of care.
In short, Ben and the entire team at DDR have gone beyond the pinnacle of excellence. Every
single word has been honoured and surpassed. Please always listen to their advice. We have
and we couldn’t be happier.

Ben and his team at the ‘DDR Guard Dog’, are all very kind, caring and outstanding professional’s.

I’m very humbled and grateful for the time and patience of’Ben’ and his very brave team of female and men trainers. They were all very kind, hospitality and doing such a fantastic job. Ben and his team are ‘every day heroes’.

When there is so many professional’s (Dog trainers and Vet’s) giving different conflicting opinions on training a dog (Our dog is a German Shepherd) what type of food to give. Advising medication to control a dog through the dog’s teenage period.

When there was no hope left, another kind local man who was the only person who was willing to help us was a man called ‘Jordan’. He was a ‘God send’ to our family. I’m very in-deeded to his kindness forever. He met us with us in a park. He gave us, practical help and insightful advice. He has always been there for us. Jordan was the man who recommended ‘Ben and his team’ to help us further and in a professional environment and dedicated staff to maintain the corrective training.

They also board dogs, other kennel wouldn’t take him. Handing our dog to a complete straight. We knew could be a very negative option and outcome. Our family was considering planning a holiday. Unless this reactively gets corrected. We may be prisoners in UK as we can’t let anyone look after him.

Ben can see the problem of our dog straight away, by getting to the root of the dog’s problems. Less than half an hour, he showed us how to correct our dog’s behaviour. It was a miraculous moment, when I saw how the dog changed so much. A ‘boot camp’ is definitely a good idea to practice ‘Ben’s training techniques’. The first step for our family. Is that there is a ‘real hope’. This unresolved issue of our dog can be tackled by Ben and his staff.

We left our 14 month old Doberman with DDR for two weeks whilst we went on holiday. I was previously having great difficulty whilst walking her on a lead due to pulling etc. After the two weeks she now walks beautifully next to me on a lead and has a good recall off lead.
I was really nervous about leaving her but with daily videos and reassurance from DDR it made it much easier.
Would definitely recommend and will be using DDR again soon..
