Exorbitant pricing

Following my car service on Monday I received their health care report pointing out that my rear shocks needed urgent replacement at a cost of €525.

However, I Left the car into Toyota Liffey Valley today.
Replacement cost was € 364.

Was ready to place a deposit for a new Corolla with Gavin . The above experience has left a sour taste.

Fantastic dealership

My wife asked me to write this review because she is no on Trustpilot.

She went to M50 Lexus to look at a used car and ended up purchasing a new Lexus, she had nothing but positive interaction with all staff who looked after her during the process, she wanted to give a special mention to Frank Dunne who couldn't do enough for her. She highly recommends this dealership and will only use them for maintenance and servicing going forward.

Stay away

Purchased a used Mercedes in 2024, then an issue with engine warning light 5 months post purchase, back under warranty and part 'replaced'.. same issue 5 months later, back under warranty and part 'replaced' then I serviced my car with Denis Mahony, 2 weeks later 'engine light' on again with same issue, now out of warranty and the dealership state my problem! absolutely no joy with any follow up response despite trying to communicate.. then requested sales person to call re changing car, despite several emails, phone calls they never replied, dreadful service from a 'main dealer' stay away! Would not recommend this dealership :(

If you like your car never go here

Brought th the car for a service here. No oil water filled tryer pressure not checked. They told us the window wipers were OK but they were covered in oil. Never had any problems with the car untill we brought the car here now nothing but problems. Never again 1 star doesn't express how angry I am

I am unable to select Zero Stars.

Ultimately car (Prius) needed a new inverter - PRETTY SIMPLE AND A QUICK JOB TO DO.
Car kept at dealership for many months awaiting diagnoses.
As car was left sitting, mold had time to grow in the interior surfaces with some permanent stains left behind.
If cars end up in "storage" awaiting parts or diagnosis dealer should just give the car interior clean to prevent this.
If the car ends up stuck in the dealership for so many months (Dealer should suggest a discounted service of the car while the car is unfortunately stuck on the premises).
Overall not a nice experience from the beginning (When phone answered by a rude man "rude because the car had not been with that dealership before)
To the end when I was told I could not have my old inverter that was removed.
1000s spent
Car works but.
1. A/C Not working
2. Mould in Car (Never existed in the car in it 13 year life prior to this)
3. Without car for many months and car still needs service.
4. Being refused my old removed part.
5. Calling every odd week to see if any new info on status.
6. Being told "we only have 1 diagnostics guy between 3 sites.
Left a review somewhere before (I think the dealership) shortly after getting car back last December. I did expect some sort of response but none came.

Denis Mahony Kilbarrack, purchase made easy.

Denis Mahony Kilbarrack made the purchase of a 2nd hand Toyota Yaris Hybrid as easy as possible. Particularly Jake and Ray who were great to deal with. They left us to test drive on our own and since they are on the edge of a small industrial estate this is ideal for a quick spin. Communication and answering follow-up questions was good and the car was nicely presented when I picked it up. Jake even remembered to get my toll tag out of my trade in Renault. Got a fair price there also. Jake talked me through all the gadgets on the Yaris, even helping me setup the phone connection. Ray was flexible about the financing changing the term on the day and letting me know I'd overpaid the deposit. Pleasant to deal with. Satisfied with the car, so far. Would be happy to recommend.

Stay away Denis Mahony M50

I was in there today and regret that I took my car for servicing there. Charged me 200 Euros that include replacement of pollen filter but I can see they charged separately another 15.82 euros for the same item. Also noticed that actual sum is 521 Euros but final payment charged on invoice was 534.07 Euros. They didn't like my mindset questioning the difference. I would never go this dealer/service centre.

Worst Purchasing Experience from Day 1…

Worst Purchasing Experience from Day 1 (03/05/2023) when I put deposit for brand new Camry till after sale day which is today 08/06/2023.
When I bought new Camry, I purchased couple of extras with this like metallic paint and a spoiler. I was told by salesman that everything will be ready in the car when I will make full payment. I made full payment couple of days later. I was also told that the boot liner comes with the package and I will get new one on the day when I will get my car. My car was delivered home on Monday the 08/05/2023 without a boot liner and without a spoiler. I asked why is that, I was told by salesman that there is a backlog for parts and I will get the boot liner in few months and spoiler will be there at end of May. I contacted again at end of May and same salesman told that order is pushed backed till 12th of June. On 7th of June, salesman contacted me and asked me to bring car tomorrow (08/06/2023) and they will have spoiler done for me. I brought car in the morning and got a phone call from Salesman that he left one little part in my car boot and that part is missing as he was accusing me that I lost it. I told him numerous times that the part was not in the boot. After all this, they didn’t fix spoiler after one month of purchasing. I requested refund for spoiler, but he said I lost the little part and he won’t be able to refund my €400. Then I asked him if I can talk to manager about this. He called manager and I told him all this. First of all, manager didn’t not use polite language at all and started having heated arguments with me instead of talking nicely to their customer. After 5 to 7 minutes of argument, manager refunded me €400. I felt very humiliated in Toyota shop as I was dealt badly by both salesman and manager. After one month of waiting, I came out of shop without getting my spoiler fixed and also felt very frustrated. Will never recommend anyone and will be regretting all my life to buy car from Denis Mahony M50

Worst experience in my life

A long time customer, never had an issue till February. No one calls you back when requesting, No one replied to my emails. Left high and dry after they have taking my money. Called to store to be told "Someone will call me". Toyota can not help as Denis Mahony is not a reseller and not related to Toyota. So any issues you are stuck dealing with Denis Mahony only, who just do not listen to you or reply, they have lost a long term customer! Please look at all the negative reviews as so many people are having the same experience. It will save you alot of heart ache if you have a problem. Issue still not resolved and looking like it never will.

Writing this on behalf of my Mother who is 80.
Recently my Mother contacted this so called dealership to have some work done on the break lines (holders) on her 13 year old Yaris.
She was quoted 1800 euro and she paid a 300 euro deposit.
I managed to get the same work done by a real mechanic for 350 euro.
My mother managed to get most of her deposit back 250.
But I just to say to any pensioners or potentially vulnerable people thinking of using these crooks...stay away!

ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL!! I highly recommend that you stay away from this place!

Short version:
They crashed my car, refused to fix the wheel that they damaged way further as "it already had scratches on it", couldn't fix my AC, and treated me as if they were doing me a favor to fix the damage that THEY DID. They used phrases like "accidents happen every day" and "it is a 2014 car, it won't be perfect." See pictures attached; the second pic shows how much I love this car, but they treated it like rubbish. Because of this, they had my car for over 2 weeks, and I received a grand total of ZERO discount on the service.

Long version:
Words cannot describe how bad the customer service is here - at least if you have an older car. I'm sure the treatment would have been very different if I had a brand new Lexus! First, I took my car for the usual programmed maintenance and also asked them to look at the AC, as it has some sort of fault that causes it to reset to default every time I power the car on. It takes a minute to do so and requires manual power on/setup. Their answer to this was "we could not find a fault, better just wait for it to die completely, and then we change it. The 12 months warranty won't cover it." Nice start - they can't even find issues in their own cars.

Then, to make matters WAY worse, they managed to somehow crash my car! Things only went downhill from here. I heard things like "accidents happen every day" and "it is a 2014 car; it won't be perfect" from the manager himself. They refused to fix the wheel that they damaged way further just because "it already had scratches on it" (cool, if I ever crash in someone else's car, I'll just say it already had scratches on it and won't have to pay for it. Nice life hack!). Even though I acknowledged that first and said I'd pay for the repair of the other three wheels, they still refused. They had my car for over 2 weeks while they lent me the cheapest red Corolla they could find on the lot. I had to keep chasing them to get any sort of updates. When I finally got it back, the rear seats were covered in dirt, like they had put dirty car parts inside it while working on it, and they didn't even bother cleaning it. After all of that, I received a grand total of ZERO discount on the service, which I paid in full, as if they had done an awesome job on changing oil and filters.

After loads of emails back and forth complaining about all of this, all I got as "a gesture of goodwill" (to quote their own words) was a valet to clean the seats (which I didn't even bother to use; I'd rather take it to someone I trust) and a €100 discount on the next service with them. But again, I won't be taking any advantage of it, as my car will stay well away from this place in the future.

Initially I thought I was being treated…

Initially I thought I was being treated as a customer with the usual courtesy and immediate answering of the phone regarding queries. Decided to purchase a 2014 Lexus and on the day of completing my transaction and collection of my new car, the unprofessionalism kicked in. The original sales person I was dealing with was late and had to deal with the most uninterested salesperson I've ever met. Asked me to sign the paperwork, took my money gave me the keys and vanished. No quick tour on instrumentation or controls.They were supposed to put two tyres on, didn't happen. Asked to have a few small scratches buffed, instead they put what I can only describe as silver nail varnish on the scratches and when I asked to have it rectified they tried to charge me €340. The sat nav was missing and I spent 5 weeks trying to get an answer as to why. Eventually after 17 phone calls I was informed that it would cost €1400 to fit the sat nav that should have come as standard and they weren't going to pay for it. So I asked what now and was essentially told, tough.
I've come across some unprofessional people in my time but this is a new low. Once they had my money, that was it, shutters down, doors closed and phone off the hook. Would never go near them again and would advise you not to either.
