poor experience really. they don't tell you BEFORE applying that you'll need a drivers licence. i don't drive. so then you need to have documents that are certified. NO other bank has asked me for this nonsense ever before...a passport has been sufficient if even asked for at all. waste of time

Easy to set-up and very secure with plenty of passwords and passcodes to remember

In contrast to some others I found the online experience very straightforward, they have to do AML checks by law so that shouldn't be a surprise. Account set up was easy, spoke to customer service once to query something and they answered quickly and were very helpful. Had a fixed term savings account set up and verified within a couple of hours.
Be aware they don't yet have the facility to let your bank check your account details before a transfer and my bank's (HSBC) anti-fraud team made the initial transfer a bit of an obstacle course but that's a reflection on HSBC not DFC

Tried to apply for a 1 year fixed bond and the part where you have to put in your date of birth only allows you to go back a month at a time starting from today. Having been born in 1959 that would have meant tapping the screen around 650 times. What a useless system!

Well seeing some of the Negative reviews on Trustpilot, I decided to invest with some trepidation, but i'm GLAD i did. I sent them a query, 2hrs later I received a reply! So I decided to take the Plunge and invest! I filled out my banks BACS Transfer form MANUALLY (up popped DFC) and sent them my investment. I received a prompt email from them acknowledging my transaction. I logged in next day to DFCs Secure Website, & my Investment was there!
If your looking for a Top interest rate, (I seen it on the Moneysaving Expert website,and Savings Champion), with your money protected by FSCS Scheme, I'd go for it, I had NO problems at all investing.

Regarding earlier reviews DaF Capital are now a bank. I had no problem opening account and depositing money from my nominated account. No need have email confirmation of deposit as you can see the transfer from your online account which is set up at the same time you open an account. Stage 5 of the application plus email clearly gives accpount number and sort code plus reference when paying in.....can't see the problem as long as you're careful online.

Tried opening savings account without success - system is either difficult to understand or does not always work as expected and they have yet to respond to email requesting assistance. Have read other reviews this am whilst waiting for their response and have decided not to pursue this further.

no problems, you need to understand it is managed by email at present.
Deposit money, confirmation and balance recieved by email next day, usually respond to email queries same or next day latest.

I only opened an online account because the high street banks aren't offering any interest and this bank came up on Martin Lewis' money expert website. It seems good so far, i get an update a day later once i've transferred some money. Only thing i would like to see when i login online is a statement but i believe you have to email them.

Those that complain about this site probably doesn't understand the notion that is is done online. What's the point of complaining when you are getting an ok interest rate...plus at least it is endorsed by Martin Lewis so no idea why some complain!

Not happy. supposed to receive e-mail confirmation that they have received funds. got nothing, got no response to three messages. not good enough. worrying.

Chose the 1yr fixed rate account. Easy to set up. Received secure message to confirm deposit 24hrs after transfer of money. Easy to log in to check account. Phone enquiry quickly answered. Very pleased so far.

Was initially unsure about DF Capital as new to savings market but then as they appeared at top of Savings Champion and Moneysavingexpert tables I felt more confident. Easy account to open. They do NOT have a banking portal so statement obtained by clicking on secure message link from e-mail (checked e-mail against their website). 14 days to change your mind without penalty or notice.

opened a 1 year bond with these yesterday, filled in form ect, got email for password, sent money, then tried to log in to see if money in account, you cannot log in as they do not have this, you cannot phone them, only way to contact them is email or secure message thats what password is for.

they have not emailed me to say they have momey £25000 i sent.
now trying to get money back as 14 days cooling off period.

sent 4 emails and secure message with no reply, keep away from this lot

what sort of finance company has no phone, just emails, is money safe ???? just hope i get mine back,
will update this if i do or dont
