DO NOT BUY: Misleading Sales, Faulty Goods, and Appalling Customer Service
If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased a sofa from the DFS Leicester branch, and the entire experience—from the deceptive showroom practices to the atrocious customer service—has been a complete nightmare.
Firstly, I was mis-sold the furniture. The display model in the showroom (which was leather) featured extensive, detailed stitching. The fabric version delivered to me had absolutely zero stitching. At no point did the salesperson inform me that the fabric version would lack these key design features. This is clear misrepresentation.
Secondly, the build quality is shockingly poor. The sofa was delivered with clear manufacturing defects: the seat cushions do not sit flush and leave uneven gaps, the USB ports feel incredibly cheap and tacked on, and the recliner mechanism does not have the same range of motion as the one demonstrated in-store.
I reported these faults on the exact day of delivery (May 18th) to exercise my short-term right to reject faulty goods under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. A manager came to inspect it a few weeks later and completely dismissed my legal rights, refusing to arrange a collection or refund and trying to pass off poor manufacturing as acceptable.
They clearly do not care about the Consumer Rights Act once they have your money or about any after-sales service. I have now had to escalate this as a formal Section 75 legal claim with my finance provider just to get my money back for a faulty, mis-sold item.
Save yourself the stress, time, and money. Avoid DFS completely.

I can completely understand your concerns if the goods received were not as anticipated, this is very disappointing to hear.
As your items do come with certain warranties when a fault is highlighted our service engineers will aim for a first touch resolution every time. Our service engineers are upholstered by trade and all repairs are done to a factory standard. We would always repair if a fault is found but unfortunately on this occasion no manufacturing fault was found with your furniture, apologies again for any inconvenience this may cause.

Engineer been to adress 2 times to fix my sofa both time he received the wrong product and its been an year im waiting for them to fix my sofa . I had insurance wich cover my sofa despite I bought insurance cover dfs made pay for product cost . Not happy with dfs service any more .

Sofa from DFS great customer experience
