Initially, I was advised that a specialist would contact me to discuss my requirements and provide expert product advice. Unfortunately, I found that I had greater product knowledge than the "specialist" I spoke with, whose guidance appeared to consist solely of reading information directly from the website.
When I eventually placed my order, I later discovered that the "specialist" had ordered the incorrect SloRoller accessory for the Classic series rather than the Big Joe series grill I had purchased. I requested that this item be cancelled and replaced with the rotisserie attachment instead.
I was then informed that the rotisserie would arrive with the grill; however, this did not happen. To make matters worse, the grill itself — a purchase worth approximately £2,000 — was left unattended in the road by the courier without any phone call being made to me, despite my clearly stating in the delivery instructions that I was working from my home office and required a call as I may not hear the door.
When I raised this issue, I felt as though my concerns were dismissed and that I was effectively being accused of being dishonest regarding the lack of contact from the courier. I find it completely unacceptable that such an expensive item was not even placed on my garden path, but instead left discarded in the road.
Following this, I was promised that the rotisserie would arrive no later than Tuesday. When it failed to arrive, I contacted them again on Wednesday and was then guaranteed delivery on Thursday. That didn't happen either. The item arrived a week late with no offer of compensation, but instead a barrage of frankly poor excuses and pushing the blame to various members of staff and couriers.
I would thoroughly recommend avoiding this company.

Excellent! The stove arrived on the arranged day,delivered by a reliable local courier who was very helpful. Direct Stoves kept me informed of likely delivery time, as the stove was coming from the factory in Italy. It arrived just over 10 days from ordering, which was really swift. The stove was really well packed on a half pallet with a wooden crate built around it, so there was not a scratch on it! I would highly recommend Direct Stoves.

Very good. Although it arrived a day before. So I was not at home. It was left on the doorstep. Which is fine by me. I had planned the delivery date! So had to change a few things around as it was between 8.00am - 6.00pm !. Love the Morsø.

The only reason why they DON'T have 1 star rating is twofold - a) they replied to my questions in a timely manner and b) the refund was quick.

Ordered 13/3/26 with requested installation 10 April which seemed fine when ordering but few days later told they needed few more days but as I was going on holiday we agreed 20 April. Installers all confirmed.
On 20 April installers arrived at your warehouse to find on,y half of the order there - just the fire and flue but no slips or hearth, Surely you have someone who checks and expedites orders in advance of collection.
Missing parts delivered few days later and given an installation date …ten days later ! I spoke to the installer direct (who was lovely and agreed to ‘fit me in’). However he had other issues and we eventually agreed an installation date of one week later.
And so it continues, installer arrived only to find the legs of the fireplace did not match the dimensions for the ‘slips’ and once again could not be installed…..the legs were taken away and had to wait a further 12 days.
Today…2 months later …..hallelujah….its installed. Thank goodness for the installation Team.
With regard to Direct Stoves, I had to pay every penny upfront …. Verbal apology from the showroom but nothing more…. no refund discount, no offer of free extras as way of apology …. not even an email apology so clearly once they have your money the rest is just a shoulder shrug and hey ho !
I ran a large business and it is what you do to fix things and appease customer is how you are measured.
Customers who have had a bad experience will tell, on average 18 people whereas people with a positive experience may tell 4/5 people.
FURTHER INCORRECT INFO BELOW:
I was away from 12-18 April hence installation date 20/21 April. I was NOT away until 10th May. When the slips were incorrect size, the warehouse obviously would not know and I did not suggest this but clearly another ‘human error’ in ordering from your mfg.
we were told this would take a further week making it the 8th May and I was away Friday 8th with work hence the final installation date being the 11th.
