The cafe had izsue with power but are cream tea was good

Overpriced cafe . £1 for 2 fingered Kit Kat , 75p for 1 marshmallow tea cake ,
75p for a packet of two biscuits .
1315 no sandwiches . Used to be a lovely cafe now it’s appalling.

lovely coffee and cake, plants always look fresh and well cared for.choice of clothes but quite expensive also Sainsbury expensive as B/M opposite so people go there

We visited the restaurant and the garden centre. The garden centre was well stocked with plants, some were reduced in price which was a bonus. However, our visit to the restaurant was not so good. There was (as always) a long queue of customers for hot food and drinks. I suggest that the store should manage two queues - one being for drinks only - after all there is a station on the opposite side for this very purpose. I would not wish to eat there as the food is probably cold by the time it gets to the table. Some of the staff were looking as if they didn't know what they were doing. As usual there was a problem with the till causing even more delay.

pleasant, helpful staff, always willing to sort out enquiries, nothing seems to be of too much bother to them, including cafeteria, and plant dept. well done to all.

Always find what I need, great selection of products.

My Husband and I visited the restaurant last Saturday as we do every fortnight. There was one young lady making drinks and the gentleman who normally clears the tables, was working the till. It seems that too many staff were allowed to have holiday at the same time. This results in unhappy customers and stressed staff, not a happy combination and taints the visit somewhat. For a large company, not what is expected.Customer service matters.

As always a very pleasant shopping experience at Dobbies and then a drink in the restaurant

Went twice in one week and No scones for 2 for 1 and no sandwiches or toastie for lunchtime only got meals available. Staff holding clean glasses around the rim. Won’t be renewing my Dobbies card

I was very disappointed with my recent visit, I needed help finding a plant, the cashier muttered "for f--k sake" as the collegue she called, was laughing down the phone, then she tried to scan my dobbies card that we pay for, and it didn't scan, she told me to call head office, report mine and my husbands cards, because the barcode was printed too close. we had just had coffee, the card didn't scan then either, in the cafe, the cashier just typed in the card number. I said this to the cashier, again she muttered ffs, entered the code manually, told me to call head office, she was very disgruntled with me, took my money, then shouted to another collegue, "oi you getting coffee, get me one" completely ignored us, no customer service, customer care or manners what so ever! Pretty disgusted all in all, I had a birthday voucher and the scone was stale and not a happy experience.

Staff a bit on the miserable side didn’t seem to want to help. No improvement in restaurant

We visited the Shepton Mallet restaurant for breakfast which would have been fine but we got our breakfast and than waited 10 minutes to get our coffee. Our breakfast was cold. The girl making the drinks was also manning the till. It was ridiculous and disappointing

We went to buy garden chairs - a reasonable selection, and at reduced prices too. We also wnted a parasol base but it was very difficult to find anyone to give advice. When we eventually did, the one we had found was not suitable for the parasol we had only just bought from Dobbies, and we were informed that no more would be delivered, as was the case with all outdoor furniture, which was low in stock, it being the end of the summer season. What?!! There are plenty more sunny days left. Disappointing.

Lovely plants and had a sale on so that was good. Had a coffee and cake in the restaurant whilst we were there
