Horrible online shopping experience. The picture and description of a blouse that I recently purchased is not even close to the actual one that I received. A company is completely shabby and untrustworthy when their website doesn't have a place for customer reviews.

I was a Dress Barn junkie for well over a decade. I had the Dress Barn card, shopped in their stores and online. I bought a large batch of jeans in 2021 and they finally wore out.
I went online and ordered 5 pairs of jeans in a size larger than my size because some people said they ran small. This was a $365 purchase. After a week, a package arrived containing ONE pair and a packing slip claiming 5 were shipped. There was nothing stating there was a split delivery or a delay in shipment or anything like that. It appeared to be a bald attempt to gyp me. They charged me for ALL FIVE PAIRS.
The ONE pair was several sizes smaller than the tag claimed because I couldn’t even get them past mid thigh.
I sent them an angry email with proofs of what I was charged and what received. I got an email asking for more proofs and sent them. Then, CRICKETS, I sent a third email. More crickets.
I filed a dispute with my credit card company because this is totally unacceptable. RIP OFF
Should have looked at reviews and NEVER ordered from Dressbarn
All reviews are correct. I received stained and dirty clothes, on time though. I was able to chat with a bot and never got a response. The phone number doesn't work. I've emailed them numerous times. Try talking to the bot many times. Very frustrated. Very sorry I ever ordered from them. Will certainly not make that mistake again. Clearly they do not care.
Never received my order
I placed an order 7/24/25 and haven't received it yet. I've sent 4 email inquiries and every time, I get AI email responses saying they are escalating my order request and investigating. Why hasn't this company been shut down?
Update: An order from June 6 finally got an answer. I was contacted and received full credit in September! I was unable to make an exchange for jeans because they had none!
I would give less than 1 star, if offered! Don’t buy from this company, unless you don’t care about possibly wanting to exchange something. Their BOT is the most worthless bot on the internet, along with their non-existent customer service. Their BOT (upon me making a request to return for a different size) told me I would be receiving an email with return instructions to exchange. I have contacted their BOT 4 times now. The last time, it said my 30 days was up, even though my first request was the day I received my order. I loved their store when it was here and shopped there from the day they opened until the day they closed. But this website?? Awful! I will never buy from them again.
Non existent customer service
Non-existent customer service. I've reached out four times to get a return label. I've had no response. I've been a loyal customer for years and I will never purchase anything from this company again. You should be ashamed for taking advantage of your customers.
Wrong size - no customer service!
Ordered 2 pair of pants and received the wrong size. Can't get ahold of ANYONE for a return label. They just ignore your emails. Sad what has happened to a once great place to shop. AVOID!

Poor responses, impossible to return items
This company is impossible to return any items to. They make you email them to get approval to return items and they do not respond within their 30 day timeframe to return them. The fit of their clothing is not consistent making returning clothing necessary. Will never order from them again.
Don't order if you might have to return
Do not order from Dressbarn if there is the slightest possibility that you may need to return it. They do not give refunds, only store credits, you are out the shipping charges, and it took OVER 2 MONTHS to process! I initiated a return on Jan. 5, sent a second request for a shipping label on Jan. 13, sent the item back on Jan. 17, requested a status update on Feb. 20 (and received a response that it will be processed “next week”), requested a second status update on Mar. 13 and on Mar. 14 (probably the next day only because I emailed again!) I FINALLY RECEIVED THE CREDIT 9-1/2 WEEKS AFTER I INITIATED THE RETURN. You would think I would have learned my lesson and NOT order something with my store credit that must be tried on but I took a chance. When that item didn’t fit, I had to go through the whole process again. On April 9, I initiated the return of that item and two emails and 5 weeks later, I finally received my store credit (again, less shipping so I kept losing money with each transaction). This time I ordered an inexpensive pair of earrings so that my store credit would also cover shipping. I still have a $4 credit, which I will be forfeiting. It’s really a shame because I do like their merchandise and always found something I wanted when I went into their brick and mortar store that closed.

I wish I had read these reviews. I too have been trying to return one item. 2 chats unanswered, and 2 emails- one unanswered and then one suggested by them is a no reply. I’m done. I’ll gift my blouse and warn others whenever I can
Highway Robbery
I wanted to replace the jeans that I bought at their brick and mortar store. I ordered the exact, same jeans online. When they arrived, they clearly were not made as well as my originals that I purchased from the brick and mortar. In fact, the pants I received didn't even match the measurements included on the site. I emailed them 6 times requesting my money be refunded (after paying for the shipping to send them back). However, they finally responded with an email that they were only going to issue a store credit...it's bad business to hold customer's money hostage!!!

Well I hope you don't have to return anything for an exchange because customer service -there is none.
No refunds only gift cards at which time they have limited sizes and products.
I have been a customer of Dress Barn…for more years than I can remember
I have been a customer of Dress Barn for many years and have NEVER had any problems. Until my last purchase - their Customer Service simply doesn't exist these days. I placed an online order - however did not receive one of the tops. I followed their instructions and reported this, included order number and a picture of the invoice.
I received an initial acknowledgement approximately 2 weeks later with a request for another picture, which I provided within 24 hours of the request. From that point on - no communication whatsoever. I sent several emails, asking for someone to contact me. Still nothing. I requested via email for a manager to contact me. Still nothing... finally after 3 months and several emails.... I received an email - no apology just an email stating "we will give you a store credit for the missing item."
I would have rather received a credit to my payment method, but that was NOT an option. I will use this credit and NEVER shop Dress Barn again - I'm sad to see how this Company has changed. It is sad to see another established business change their standards to such a low level - I can't imagine they will remain in business much longer.

I purchased clothes for $157.82 in October 2022. I did not receive any of the items I purchased. When I contacted the customer service they gave me a gift receipt only for $131.02. Even after sending multiple emails I did not receive the rest of the money. Worst part the gift card they sent is not working either.
I sent multiple emails about my refund. I did not receive refund yet. It has been 8 months. I am extremely frustrated. They are fraudulent. Their customer service phone number is not taking any calls. But they are still selling clothes suggesting they are in business still ripping customers off their money. It is wrong not to return my money. Beware of Dressbarn!
The online Version of Dress Barn is a Scam
I was invited to a Christmas party (2022) and needed a red dress. I found the perfect dress at Dress Barn online. I ordered the dress to get to me in plenty of time, but it NEVER arrived. The charge for more than $150 appeared on my credit card, but the dress was never shipped. After many attempts to reach some one in customer service to no avail I am writing this review in the hopes of saving someone else this trouble. After months and months I still do not have a dress or a refund. There is absolutely no customer service at Dress Barn, and in fact I believe the new online company is an absolute scam.

This company is a SCAM and a joke. BUYER BEWARE they will charge your cards and not send you any of the items you purchased. THEN they will refuse to credit back your card to give you your money back. If you do plan to purchase from this awful company use your credit card so you can file a fraud report to get your money back, that's ironically when their customer service depart decides to talk to you is when they receive a fraud claim. Hope they go out of business for real this time!

I would have given them a half star if I could, lousy customer service been waiting three days for a return label. Emailed four times no response back. No phone number to speak to a human being. I will never buy from them again. PS I was a long time customer when they had a storefront. I was skeptical about buying online because of the return policy. Very disappointed with Dressbarn.
Don't buy from them
Don't buy from them. I returned a top the beginning of January and still don't have a refund credit. They just give you an excuse of being busy from the holidays and its March now. Will not buy from them again
If I Could Give No Stars, I Would.
I have purchased from Dressbarn for many years and was happy with the quality of their clothes until recently. I received two tops that were absolute garbage and received a return label from them in October and sent the items back. They received my returns in November (I tracked the package). Since November, I have emailed them nine times with ZERO response, and called on several occasions to just be put on hold forever until I finally hang up. Their corporate office number listed online is the same phone line as customer service, with no response from anyone. After almost 4 months of being completely ignored, I filed a claim with my bank and they are going to credit me my money back. I will never order from them again.
