STEER CLEAR. We were given a crappy car. We were not given the car we had signed up for and were given a run down car with a lot of issues

Car was a piece of scrap metal. Broke down on the second day . RAC said the car had several mechanical problems. Drivalia ruined our holiday.

Customer service is non existent and cars are unreliable. We had to shell out 100s of dollars in taxis and arranging for recovery.

DRIVALIA LANCASTER RUINED OUR HOLIDAY.

I picked up a car at Drivalia in Lancaster, England. It was by far my best car rental experience. The agent took the time to go over the details of the car, including the GPS system, saw that I had an email picturing current bodywork damage, suggested I drive around the parking lot to be comfortable with the car before leaving. When I returned the car, I got an immediate clearance that there was no damage and a final invoice to review. The gentlemen running the pickup/return were friendly and helpful.

I recently rented a car from the Lancaster branch, and I only have positive things to say. My trip around the Forest of Bowland hadn't originally involved hiring a car, however with railway works and bad weather on the cards when I got to Lancaster, I looked into the costs of hiring a car vs the inconvenience I was going to endure without one. Drivalia had a really good deal for 2 days hire, so I took the plunge.

The two members of staff at the Drivalia office that day when I arrived to pick up the car were really friendly that I was immediately reassured I'd made the right choice. Moreover, the guy who dealt with my booking (Michael) gave me some good tips on how to save money next time, and even made amendments to my booking to make sure I got the best deal with this booking too. He also took the time to make sure I was happy with the car I'd been allocated.

I'm not often in Lancaster, but if I do find myself there again, and in need of a car rental, I'll definitely be looking to Drivalia again.

The helpful staff at this location made for a great experience. I was staying at the Holiday Inn so made sense to hire from there. I was staying for about 2 weeks while my Granddaughter settled into Lancaster University. Michael was most helpful in suggesting places to visit and eat. If I come back I will definitely hire again through Divalia. Sue from Australia

Micheal and Ally at Drivalia in Lancaster are charming and a pleasure to deal with. They are very efficient and knowledgeable. They make the whole process of hiring a vehicle pain free. The cars are immaculate and there is plenty of choice. For anyone wanting to explore the South Lakes the proximity to the town of Lancaster and motorway make Drivalia Lancaster the best place to hire a car.

First time Drivalia user. Online booking straight forward. Price reasonable. Staff on pickup friendly and efficient. Document checks processed smoothly. No issues with vehicle. Drop off on return smooth and deposit returned without delay. Can’t fault the experience.

Irecently hired a car from this company at their Lancaster Branch in July 2025. Having prebooked some 3 months earlier I was allocated a vehicle with a scratch or dent on every panel and severly soiled seats. The manager of the Branch stated there was no point doing a visual inspection as it was too sunny - I dont think so. 40,000 miles on the clock. I refused the car and was told there was nothing else. Demanded refund then out of the blue I was allocated a brand new Renault Clio. No problems. Paid £750 deposit. Wasnt offered to pay a little extra to waiver the £1500 excess. Returned the car after hire. Had to demand an inspection rather than just leave it. All the paperwork I received was for a totally different car in my name and basically the branch/company are so unprofessional I would go elsewhere. Enterprise are not far away and will pick you up and are cheaper.
