Amazing experience, quick response, job well done, quick return. And relatively cheap

Second time customer purely because the leap of faith first time letting these guys/gals loose on my 2006 Mercedes CLS320cdi gear selector which they performed a spectacular job still going strong with zero problems. My turbo actuator dumped my CLS into limp mode used my scanner to identify the problem and log the code. All information from my scanner and detailed description from myself uploaded via the online reporting form, collection arranged by Ecutesting using DHL. I was kept up to date with the progress via email/txt or logging in online to the main site. My actuator fixed and returned back to me again via DHL the whole process as before was flawless, the price I paid way cheaper than having to replace the whole turbo which would have cost 6 times more. Fitted the actuator this morning checked for codes with my scanner before I started the car fired up and ran with zero issues. Road tested and straight away notice a big difference in the smoothness a little further down the road nailed the accelerator hit the kickdown switch and the CLS just took off, if I had tried to do that before the car would had shuddered badly didn't do any of that just took off like a rat up a drain pipe. Actuator fixed and with piece of mind life time guarantee. I whole heartly couldn't recommend ECU testing enough thankyou you guys rock.

After finding other services reported they were unable to assist me, I placed my reliance on ECU Testing. They quickly and professionally processed my module. When I installed it, all programming was intact and the unit functioned like brand new! Their price was very reasonable, their communications impeccable, and I would most highly recommend them.

I paid ECU Testing £695.49 on 10th June 2025 for a “no fault rebuild by request” of my DQ200 Mechatronic unit.

The unit was returned to me on 12th June — completely broken, with signs of shady adhesive used on the sensor leg. The repair was not only faulty but dangerous. I reported the issue within one hour by phone, and followed up with emails on 13th June demanding either a refund or a working replacement.

Instead, ECU Testing offered only to “send it back for investigation” — with no guarantee of refund, repair or replacement, despite the fact that I paid for a professional fixing service.

Their own email initially acknowledged the glue might be theirs, but later denied responsibility. I provided evidence, and they refused accountability.

I’ve now had to start a chargeback process via Monzo. The law is clear under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: if a paid service results in a faulty product, I’m entitled to a refund or guaranteed fix — not an open-ended investigation while I suffer the consequences.

So far, I’ve received no solution, no working part, and no refund. Just wasted time, stress, and a broken car.

I strongly advise others to avoid this company, especially if you expect proper service or honest aftercare.

My mechanic told me my PCM was defective and replacements were no longer made so the entire car would be classed as unrepairable and therefore only worth scrap! We took the PCM out and sent it to ECUTesting who tested, repaired and returned it in less than 5 business days. With the PCM reinstalled my car lives again! ECUTesting saved the day!

Oh and the cost was only a third of what a replacement would have been (when they were still being made).

Got the repair done as fast as reasonably possible. Kept me informed of progress. Excellent!

Used ECUTesting along one other repairer for years. ECU testing have biggest coverage. Online order form is effortless and easy to fill. Postage labels emailed to be printed. Automated text or email updates very helpful tracking the progress. Saved loads of money for our customers.

I took my unit to the Company directly as I was in a hurry to get it turned around in time to refit to the car, I was told that the current time was 2-3 days so assumed i would at least get an update by the Thursday. I had to email on the Thursday to find out what was going on but was met with a reply just saying there was no information yet. I kept calling and then eventually the following Tuesday was told that the unit was still sitting on a shelf in the warehouse due to an issue their end but they promised an update the following morning, this never came. I had to keep calling until one of the workers finally kept me up to date and then the unit was ready on the Friday some 2 weeks later. The unit has been put back in the car and seems to be OK so far so I am unable to comment on the longevity of the repair however, the customer service that I received was awful and I would seriously consider other options in the future.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with the ECU testing and repair service. After sending our unit in for repair, we were informed that the errors aligned with those we had reported, and they assured us the unit was fixed and functioning correctly. However, once we reinstalled the mechatronic unit into the car, the same error codes persisted, despite their confirmation that the unit had tested clear of any issues.

The entire process was frustratingly slow, taking three weeks for them to complete the repair. On top of that, their chosen delivery partner delayed the return shipment by another week, leaving us with an angry and impatient customer.

When we requested details about what specific part of the mechatronic unit had been repaired, we were met with a refusal to disclose any information, citing confidentiality. We only asked which part had been replaced, not for any trade secrets, so we could understand if further replacements were necessary on our end.

Overall, the lack of transparency, the lengthy turnaround, and the unresolved issues with the unit have left us deeply dissatisfied. We had to demand a refund, and even then, the entire ordeal was handled poorly. I cannot recommend this service to anyone looking for reliable ECU repairs.

Azienda che mi è stata segnalata su un gruppo Facebook cui faccio parte, dei possessori di Ford C-Max come me. Ho riscontrato un problema con la centralina ABS della mia Ford C-Max cui durante la marcia e dopo una frenata, faceva rimanere le pinze freno aderenti al disco non permettendomi la marcia, con conseguente consumo anomalo dei ferodi e surriscaldamento dell'impianto. Questo problema è noto a Ford essendo un difetto di fabbrica riscontrato da diversi possessori di C-Max e altri modelli Ford, ma non è stata adottata alcuna campagna di richiamo. In prima fase mi sono recato in officina della casa madre per quanto riguarda la sostituzione e mi è stato indicato un preventivo che al netto del ricambio (1600 Eur) più manodopera superava le 2000 Eur. Essendo una cifra economicamente fuori dalla mia portata, su segnalazione di un precedente utente ho contattato la Ecu Testing per la rigenerazione della mia centralina, precedentemente smontata dal mio meccanico di fiducia e inviata loro tramite etichetta prepagata con corriere DHL per il test e riparazione in Regno Unito. Dopo circa 5-7 giorni effettivi (calcolando la festività del 25 aprile e i sabati e domenica non lavorativi) per la riparazione con riconsegna, con una spesa di 300 Eur complessivi compresi di spedizione, il mio veicolo è tornato pienamente efficente non riscontrando alcuna anomalia del sistema ABS. Sono stati fantastici !
