Dishonored their "fixed price repair"

Two months ago I paid Electrolux $367.66 for its “fixed price repair” on a refrigerator, with the understanding that this covered the repair. A technician diagnosed the issue and said they would return once the parts arrived, but no one followed up. I was never told the repair was being refused due to pests behind the fridge. Two months later, after my tenant remained without a refrigerator, Electrolux demanded pest-free certification or offered only a partial refund. I have records of regular pest service. This lack of communication and refusal to honor the repair was unacceptable. Electrolux should be avoided.

BUYER BEWARE

I have never in my many years of owning multiple fridges and freezers due to a small pet food/treat business I run from my basement, dealt with such negligence in terms of the repair technician sent to repair an appliance. I'm in West Jordan, Utah, and I'm writing this review for the headquarters location since there is nothing showing for Utah, even though the van that showed up was not only scheduled directly through Electrolux, but also has all of the Electrolux business badging. My freezer started running warm, so I contacted Electrolux and was thrilled to learn about their Fixed Price Repair. It was comforting to know that I would pay a set price and could rest assured that my appliance would be repaired for that price - no surprises... Or so I thought. When the technician was done with the repair, I later went downstairs to start moving tables and other various furniture back to the original location since it all had to be moved to provide enough space for the tech to safely and comfortably work. When I started moving things, I quickly realized that there was an oily soot ash fallout covering literally every surface throughout the ENTIRE basement space of main entry, kitchen, hallway, bathroom, and two bedrooms. I spent over 5 hours cleaning everything so I could safely resume my business the next morning. My packing/bagging table is permanently stained from all the soot, and looks absolutely terrible. I reached out on Facebook, just to be told I could receive 20% off parts for the repair! Clearly a copy and paste response without taking the time to review all of the information I provided, along with photos. I'm not an unreasonable person, and I have dealt with enough freezer repairs to know that the soot was due to improper torch technique and should never have happened. I would expect some fair compensation to help offset the damage to my table and many hours of time, but instead I get offered 20% off something I've already paid for. Then when I respond asking them to please not waste my time and actually read my message that clearly states what happened and that I've already paid for and had the service done, I get a response saying that they will report the technician, the soot can easily be cleaned, and the damages were unintentional. Intentional or not, my table is permanently stained and won't come clean. It's a standard folding table - nothing expensive or fancy, but was damaged by a company that I paid to come to my home to help me with a repair. Asking for them to cover the cost to replace the table is more than reasonable.

BEWARE: Fixed Rate repair! Crap Shoot

Frigidaire Range (induction). Range is only 2.5 yrs old, starting having alarm (error code) go off randomly when not in use. Stovetop wasn’t working, Oven was not working (not heating beyond 100 degrees). FYI…always rule out electrical outlet and breakers first, especially if it’s a fairly new appliance! After paying ($330) fixed rate repair, it turned out to be our breaker had blown out. Still had to pay the $330 for nothing other than the repairman checking the outlet. Company refused to give partial credit for Dx ONLY, which is only around $110. This type of repair should not be legal. Charge separate for Dx, then do a fixed rate for parts/labor. Otherwise it’s just a GAMBLE

I bought a Westinghouse fridge

I bought a Westinghouse fridge. Almost 2k 1.5 years ago.

It broke down and was sent to workshop for repair after 6m. There were some issues with gas system.

It broke down again after 1.5 years from purchase. The technician agreed there was an issue with the fridge. I tried to call them to arrange pick up and repair but to no avail.

Each phone call is like 30 minutes, with 15-20 minutes waiting. Answers were always we will escalate and you will be contacted within 24 hours. I was never contacted and it has been 3 days since the technician came, i still can't book for someone to pick up my fridge. If they call me tomorrow and book the next day, it will be 1 week since I started raising the issue.

The service is worse than what I have from a secondhand fridge sellers. When i made the complaint their CS hung up on me.

I throw hundreds dollars of foods every time and there is no reimbursement whatsoever.

Electrolux

Electrolux: Do not buy an Electrolux Rangehood:
SERIAL NUMBER: 31100251.

The product has the below underlying manufacturing issues:
* The grids are filling up with water due to a design fault where water builds up in the hollow of the grills. * The old water then spills out onto the induction hob and therefore food.
* Another big manufacturing issue appears to be the small gaps the air has to make its way through which explains why there is minimal suction and water gets built up. There is also one small fan inside the hood which is definitely not sufficient for a 90cm integrated hood.
*It is extremely loud even on the lowest setting.

Horrible product and customer service

The brand-new refrigerator that came with our new construction house has apparently been leaking since the start. We now have to deal with thousands of dollars of water damage, and the customer support for Frigidaire has been useless.

Your product has been having problems since the beginning and you won't even cover the cost of sending a technician out? Really? I will never buy a Frigidaire or Electrolux product and will be going out of my way to share my experience with others for many, many years to come.

Horrible Electrolux Service

My 4 year Electrolux front loader was leaking water. The technician that came out couldn’t identify where the leak was coming from. It had to go to their workshop for repairs. They picked it up, repaired it and dropped it off with a bunch of dents and scratches across the front which they refuse to admit happened in their care. It turns out, the leak was from the drain hose. 1. I’m amazed that the technician couldn’t diagnose this while it was in my laundry. 2. Their dishonesty at refusing to take responsibility for the damage is appalling. I can’t fault the appliance over the 4 years I’ve owned it, but will refuse to buy another Electrolux product after this horrible service experience. It’s shameful.

Poor customer service experience

Poor customer service experience. Water from wine fridge has damaged a brand new kitchen. Electrolux refuse to do a knowledge anything. They have taken weeks and weeks and weeks to respond and then advise the matter is closed. Rep said it’s nothing to do with Electrolux now

please check your appliances and make sure there not with electrolux if your offered gold warranty with The good guys refuse it there a horrible company disorganised and dont care treat customers like dirt a lady called and did not book me a service call diespite all the information i have and they replace a dishwasher for us in 2022.

They also sell Frigidare air conditioners. I purchased one that leaks. It is under warranty. They are refusing to send a service tech. They offered a replacement. They asked for the receipt, a picture, etc. After 3 weeks, I got an illegible E-gift card for less than the purchase price, no replacement no service call. Today is the hottest day of the year. DO NOT buy their products anymore. They do not honor their own warranties. When you ask for a supervisor they tell you they ar ending the call. I have sent the BBB the complaint and the Georgia Attorney General the same.

Two year appliances then Trash

Customer Service Non Existent. We bought a slide-in stove from Electrolux 3.5 years ago. For over 2 years we have dealt with an electrical panel shorting on the appliance. Now the unit has completely shut down. We had a repair person look at it who says all the circuit panels need replacing at $900 plus $800 labour. The stove cost approx $2300 and three years later we are facing a $1700 repair that is not guaranteed to fix the problem. While I'm aware many appliances only have a 1 year warranty are we to believe we should plan on throwing in the trash Electrolux appliances after 3 years? Not impressed!

Electrolux front load washer

We purchased the washer three years ago and it is performed well. However it suddenly lock the door and would not unlock. Service tech says that the PC boards have a communication issue I need to be replaced. Quoted at $646! I called the factory and they provided no help and refused to log the complaint. I’m done with Electrolux!

Dryer Debacle

We have had an Electrolux dryer for less than three years and have had trouble almost from the beginning. It made all kinds of rattling noise. While under warranty, the repair person said that it was vented wrong. We spent money to fix the venting and got very little noise reduction. Soon after, we called about the problem again and were told the bearings needed to be replaced. After the repair, noise was improved but not eliminated. Now the dryer is out of warranty and, of course, the rattling has escalated. Called Electrolux and we were told to fix it ourselves and after that we could get an extended warranty for almost $100 for one year. Whatt!! Called again and talked to a supervisor. Was told that Electrolux could offer me 50% off the cost of parts but we would have to pay for the labor. Really!!! The dryer is less than three years old and that's the best you can do? Never again, Electrolux.
