Having previously bought a car from Evans Halshaw (Hadfield, which sadly closed) and having been very happy with the service then, I naturally went back to Evans Halshaw when I needed to buy again. I wasn't disappointed. Staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Bought my car with no difficulties and very happy with it. If only the insurance company had been this helpful!

On arrival I was met by Damien the sales rep.

I was trading my car in for a car they had to go on to PCP.
The payments were too high. So Damien went out of his way to find me another car from another Ford dealer.

I’m was told I would be rung if it was available, as the other dealer had one hour to sell the car. I got no phone call, but had lots of emails that pointed to I had got the car.

It all happened quite quick. Around 5 days. I arrived for the car. We got straight down to signing etc.

The only couple of negatives, is it all felt a bit rushed. I would have liked a test drive of a car I hadn’t even seen and had a thorough look round.

I did find some chips on a quick inspection that they agreed to fix. Now I have it home and have had a proper look, I found a couple more issues I’d expect fixing.

One good thing is if I’m not happy, I have 14 days to return the car. So hopefully they will sort the issues.

But overall nice experience.

my Ranger was booked in at Preston EH on a Friday afternoon for an MOT
I didn't receive a call until 4.30 to explain the ranger had fail the MOT and I couldn't collect the car.
My father is ill and without speech and communication is not possible over the phone. I was to take dad his dinner that evening and he was expecting me. As there was no option to collect my car which incidentally is not correct because the car was drivable and was still in an MOT for a further Month. no option of a hire car was available and sorry didn't help me in my position. I managed to hire a car for the 7-10 days I was told the repair would take, then received a call the following Tuesday to say the parts would be in the following day and car ready to collect, not the 7-10 days of car hire I had arranged. as my vehicle has now near 100K miles you may appreciate after 3 years I do travel a huge amount, not having my vehicle with all my personal equipment in is a huge inconvenience. on collecting the car Faye on the service desk did explain that the CV boot was damaged, to which I responded it wouldn't pass an MOT with it damaged to which she responded it was damaged during the work to the car???
Following this my car then was due a service so again I booked the car in for the service and the CV boot replacement, no record of this was on the system and the part although I made it very clear that the car was in for a service and a the CV boot replacement. No replacement part was in stock.
The service was done and again no phone call, I spent 2 hours that afternoon trying to contact service and finally ran new car sales to which the response was service are very busy? eventually the response yet again was the car will not be ready today, with no replacement. I do follow a very busy diary meeting at clients sites across Europe and transport is everything to me to fulfil the clients needs. the following day the car was returned but I had to cancel and alter my diary. Very little empathy was given, customer service is among the worst I have ever experienced, and as we have a fleet of mainly Ford Transits and two rangers I have recommended that we never EH again. I delayed in my response as I could get the words right in my head due to the utter frustration with EH. I never want to set foot in this branch again and will sort alternative arrangements for this and my new ranger currently on order.

Good service from the garage, but be aware of number of eforms requiring completion and ensure finance forms completed at least an hour before collection vehicle or in for a long wait.

Recently purchased an audi s3. Excellent service and part ex price. Great value warranty offered. I have bought several cars from preston evans halshaw and the staff have been excellent. On this occasion the manager Ryan and salesman Nik were excellent.

Sorted problem ahead of time

I love Ford cars. I fell in love with Ford cars whilst a teenager and watching 'The Professionals' on my televisual entertainer when the programme aired between 1977 and 1983. Back then, Bodie and Doyle drove a Capri, and Cowell (not Simon) drove a Granada (not the ITV network). Of course, for the first series, British Leyland cars were mostly used and these were very hard to appreciate aesthetically, let alone use as inspiration to masturbate to. This is in contrast to the Ford cars on the latter series, which meant my mum, whom I still live with, had to purchase many boxes of kleenex tissues. I still love Evans Halshaw, and enjoy looking inside the cars that are in the showroom, although I have noticed that when I leave the staff spend a lot of time going round wiping down the cars' handles and anything other surfaces I may have touched. I love the staff who are very helpful and courteous, and always offer me a coffee and a biscuit.
