Just to say how happy I am am with my recent purchase, which was originally 'blind' via Autotrader and through a non-Audi dealer. However, on tentatively travelling some distance to Evans Halshaw, Doncaster and meeting with Frank, any initial concerns were alleviated immediately.
Frank is a genuine 'old school'(straightforward) salesman that understands people - no shmooz, no slick, no unnecessary 'push' sell.
He worked tirelessly to ensure full service/ ownership history was genuine and the somewhat suspicious photos, were actually photographer error rather than issues with the car!. Listen other dealerships - Frank even called me the same evening to see if I got back safely and the car performed well !!
The Audi TT presented was amazing and exceeded expectations and arguably Frank 'downplayed' the vehicle throughout our virtual contact.
Can't recommend Evans Halshaw, Doncaster enough.
The cars a potential keeper and Frank is my new GoTo for any future deals 'up North'.

Absolutely brilliant. My 17 plate 108 blew its engine with only 41k miles on the clock. The garage which sold me it didn’t want to know, so I took it to EH as a main dealer in desperation. EH had no investment in this car whatsoever but Lisa Curry was a shining star. Taking my case on board she advised me wisely and took the case to Peugeot as something was very wrong in her words. The result, a brand new engine paid for by Peugeot! Outstanding and I can’t speak more highly of Lisa! I think I’ll be using them for servicing in future.

I have had a lot of cars over the years and my most recent attempt to purchase one from evans halshaw has been the worse. I have already spoken to management so I am not writing this review as a complaint to get the issue rectified but as feedback to improve your onsite customer experience. I was not even going to leave this feedback until my most recent issue in this list of never ending problems drove me over the edge.

As i change my cars frequently i ensure that anything i buy has a good service history to make it easier for me to sell on. I was asured the car i was purchasing had 5 services, for a 2016/17 plate this was fine.

On the day of collection (took 3 hours) i was given the car keys. I asked where the service history was and the sales person said he forgot and went to get it (first point of avoiding giving me service records) . What he brought back was 2 invoices for warranty work done and not a service record ( second point of avoiding giving me service records). When i pointed this out he then went to and get the correct service record which was an A4 piece of paper with a scan of 4 service cards. The service cards had no car reg or chasis number on to show the services were for that particular car. One staff member in particular was quite smug about all of this and seemed keen to keep pointing out this is the service record for that car even though my point was there is no evidence of that on the A4 piece of paper and i would not be able to sell that car at a later date without losing a lot of money.

The sales guy said he can call the garages on the cards and get confirmation that these services were for this car, 1 garage did 1 of the services and another garage did the rest. The guy came back and said he got hold of one garage (the one who did the most recent) and they confirmed but he can't get hold of the other who did the rest so will try again tomorrow and contact me but he is very confident there will be no issues. I decided to call this garage before leaving the dealership and got an answer straight away. The response was that the garage had no evidence or knowledge of ever servicing a car with the registration on the car.

Safe to say i didnt take the car and asked for my own car documents back that i was part exchanging and a refund for what i had paid. However the great service doesn't end there...

I spoke to the manager 5 days later who wasn't aware of any of the issues i had come up against so said he will look into this. Shortly after he called me back saying during the 3 hours i was there the guys had changed the ownership of my part ex vehicle to a trade ownership and not told me when they gave me my papers back. This also meant my vehicle was now untaxed and i had been driving the car for a week with no road tax!!

I have now got my own car road taxed again, confirmation from the dvla that the car is registered to me (just waiting for the V5 form) and then will be buying another car from another dealer. I am also waiting for the company to provide me with a letter for the DVLA to confirm i never took the car so i can claim back the £180 i paid on the car tax during the 3 hours i was there for the car i never took, this however seems to be difficult to receive quickly from them.

This had to be the worst customer experience i have ever had when buying a car and will always avoid this company in the future when looking for future cars. I just hope no body else who purchases a car from here experiences the same level of service and stress.

Andrew at Doncaster never kept me updated on my new car collection date as promised and was dissapointed and cancelled the order . Left £100 deposit and does not reply to my emails !!
