I good experience, with the staff being welcoming and knowledgeable.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Evans Halshaw Renault Sunderland and their sales executive, Sheldon, and I strongly advise others to avoid them. (PLEASE READ OTHER LOW REVIEWS WHICH CLEARLY HILIGHTS THEIR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE)

When I first inquired about a white Mercedes, Sheldon assured me that it was available on-site and encouraged me to visit. However, after making the trip to their dealership, I was suddenly told that the car might have been sold or taken out for prep—despite their earlier confirmation. What a complete waste of time! The sales executive was completely disinterested, barely acknowledged me, and made no effort to assist AND DIDNT EVEN OFFER A SEAT. When I mentioned my budget and preference for a BMW or Mercedes, his response was dismissive: “Just look around and let me know if you find anything.” Is this really how a professional dealership treats potential buyers?

Despite this poor experience, I still followed up and later reserved a black Mercedes after Sheldon once again confirmed its availability. I paid a £100 reservation fee and was told the car would arrive on Tuesday and be ready for collection on Wednesday. Excited about my purchase, I even took a day off work and informed my friends and family that I had bought my dream car.

Then, on Tuesday morning, when I called to confirm, I was suddenly told that the car had been sold to someone else! If that was the case, why wasn’t I informed sooner? Why did I have to call them to find out? And how can a car be sold to someone else after I had already reserved it?

This entire experience was frustrating and an absolute waste of my time. As someone who has worked in banking for over a decade, I understand the importance of customer service, and this dealership has failed miserably in that regard. Thankfully, I ended up purchasing a car from another dealer who treated me with professionalism and respect.PLEASE AVOID THEM!!!

Great friendly and professional staff, outstanding.

Couldn't even pick the phone up to tell customers that they no longer offer whilst you wait, then when your there oh you can't take a courtesy car it needs to be pre booked. Also on one receipt it says something was done in August 24 but now they say it needs replacing and telling me it wasn't done ? Terrible service was better when it was Evans Halshaw Nissan

Car service done quickly and ready for collection by lunchtime, service reception rang me that all done and ready for collection.

Great experience from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff there moved heaven and earth to gwt my repair done so I could still have my holiday with family. Can't thank them all enough xx

Excellent from the moment they collected my car to delivering back to me for it's first MOT even washed my car inside and out and carried out FOC health check.
