There’s a lot of wasted time trying to book trips with flights that don’t match. Get flights that do match - and not returning to a different airport or in the middle of the night - and the price shoots way up. No after-sales service. It’s all sell sell sell.

So I have had an Exped mattress for many years. The baffles that keep the air in the chambers popped. I contacted their customer service and within 24 hours had a reply of send us a picture and Lot # and we'll replace it.
I don't think it gets easier than that and that reflects on a GREAT customer service. Camping gear can always get a lot of abuse in the wilderness and a company that stands behind their product is to be commended! Great going Exped. Buy their products and know you will be taken care of.

Meine Exped Megamat 10 LXW hat nach deutlich weniger als 5 Jahren eine selbständig entstandene, grossflächige Delamination des roten Oberstoffs entwickelt. Die sehr grosse, durch den Luftdruck beulenartig hoch aufstehende Delamination erlaubte kein Liegen mehr (siehe Foto).
Ich war Erstkäufer und Alleinnutzer, die Matte wurde stets besonders sorgfältig behandelt, ausnahmslos nur Indoor benutzt, wurde nie gerollt, sondern immer sanft aufgeblasen im Schatten gelagert und konsequent vor jeglicher Sonnenexposition geschützt. Die Matte wies, abgesehen von der erwähnten Delamination, bis zuletzt keine äusseren Löcher oder sonstigen Schäden auf, alleine schon letzteres spricht für die sehr sorgfältige Behandlung meinerseits. Die grossflächige Oberstoff-Delamination war ganz klar ein Qualitäts- bzw. Produktionsmangel.
Zum Nachweis der beschriebenen Umstände habe ich mir die Mühe gemacht, die Matte persönlich direkt an das Exped Hauptquartier in Zürich zu liefern, damit man sie dort begutachten kann.
Exped hat, unter SEHR fadenscheinigen Gründen, einen Garantieaustausch abgelehnt und gewährte mir lediglich einen 20% Rabatt auf einen Neukauf.
Richtig schwach, Exped! Ich nutze seit 36 Jahren Exped-Outdoorartikel, aber diese unerwartet kundenunfreundliche Haltung passt schlecht zum Exped-Image und hinterlässt einen SEHR unbefriedigenden Eindruck!

Ich habe erstmals hier Ware bestellt. Da nach geraumer Zeit weder eine Nachricht mit Sendungsverfolgung, noch die Ware ankam, nahm ich telefonisch auf. Der Chef erklärte, dass es Probleme mit DHL gibt (bekannt!), er sich aber umgehend kümmert. Nach 2 Wochen noch immer nichts......erneute telefonische Kontaktaufnahme mit der Bitte um Stornierung. Sofort wurde eine Rücküberweisung meines Betrages über PayPal in die Wege geleitet.
Also der Kundenservice ist sehr gut. Die Ware kann ich nicht bewerten.

Mir ist ein Wanderstock von Exped kaputt gegangen. Der Stock trug keine Schuld, ich bin ausversehen drauf getreten. Daraufhin habe ich beim Exped-Kundenservice gefragt ob sie diesen Stock vielleicht reparieren können, denn kaufen kann man ihn nicht mehr.

Exped stellt zwar schon seit Jahren keine Stöcke mehr her, hatte aber zufällig noch ein passendes Ersatzteil auf Lager. Der Stock war auch schon über 10 Jahre alt. Ich habe den kaputten Stock eingeschickt, er wurde repariert und ist jetzt wieder voll einsatzfähig.

Obwohl der Stock dafür von Exped von Deutschland in die Schweiz und wieder zurück geschickt werden musste, haben sie mir keinen Cent in Rechnung gestellt.

Ich werde Exped auf jeden Fall weiter nutzen, kaufen und weiterempfehlen. Top Qualität der Produkte und dazu noch den besten Kundenservice der Welt. So kann man seine Lieblingsprodukte maximal lange nutzen.

As soon as I received the mattress I put it in my apartment to test to sleep on it but the air went out at night.... Exped is not going to refund or send a new one. They demands that I pay to send it across Europa back and forth for repair. I will never buy any Exped stuff because of their faulty products and the worst customer service.

Ich möchte hier ausdrücklich die Kulanz bei Reklamationen loben! Meine fast 5 Jahre alte synmat nach einem Defekt ohne Diskussion ausgetauscht!

We have an Exped matress and its not only extremely small and light but, also very comfortable. After 2 years some of the seams let loose, after which we sent it back to our retailer who sent it to Exped to be repaired. We now received a new mattress on warranty. The whole process was extremely smooth and we are very happy to have bought a product that doesn't go to waste, but can be repaired and re-used! I couldn't recommend Exped products more.

Ich hatte im Ausland eine Isomatte gekauft, die sich als kaputt und 10 Jahre altes Modell herausstellte. Bei Kontaktaufnahme erhielt ich das Angebot die alte Matte zum Daunen-Recycling einzusenden und Rabatt auf den Kauf des Nachfolge-Modells zu bekommen. Die Abfertigung des Vorgangs und die Service Betreuung waren sehr gut.

Leider Unglaublich schlecht verarbeitet. Hatte auf einen Rucksack gehofft den ich viele Jahre verwenden kann. Nach einem Jahr gehen die Klebenähte innen wie außen auf und die Außenhaut am Rollverschluss löst sich auf.

Es liegt leider auch nicht an einem einmaligen Produktionsfehler. Es wurde einfach gespart. Es wurde teilweise nur geklebt und nicht vernäht, da ist klar das das aufgeht.

Finde es eine bodenlose Frechheit sowas zu solch einem hohen Preis zu verkaufen.

I received a faulty Exped Megamat10 from Bergzeit, not really nice if you are camping and your matt slowly goes empty the first time you use it. So I sent it back and I got the message back from Bergzeit that I will get my money back and that Exped told them to do so. To Exped: I have 5 year warranty so I expect a new sleeping mat and not my money back! Now the prices are suddenly doubled so that seems not fair to me that I don't get a replacement matt but my money back!

I had multiple issues with a planned trip to Bend, OR.
I wanted to book a unit in Bend.
1-WHEN I booked my unit, the website then listed the address as being in a different town. I tried to find the town on Google Maps & it was NOT listed. I was actually placed in an area outside where I wanted to be.
2-The website informed me the unit was rented through Vrbo, so I would be required to pay an additional fee - but it did not list the amount! I had to move to the Vrbo site to find out how much additional money I would be charged.
3-The day before I was to travel to Bend, air quality was listed as extremely unhealthy. That condition was expected to last through the week. I canceled my reservation based on my health & included proof I suffer from asthma. I argued for a refund of half the almost $900 I had paid.
4-Though I had canceled, I continued to receive texts - have you arrived? everything ok? have you checked out yet? everything ok? One hand did not seem to know what the other was doing. I could not get hold of an actual customer service agent to discuss my situation.
5-I eventually received an ingratiating email, saying ... you understand, we just can't give you any money back, even though the unit sat vacant all week.
From the beginning, this experience was very frustrating and ended up being very expensive. Expedia is not a company I would recommend to a friend.

For the benefit of potential buyers of this company and its products
I have used Exped Backpacks and products for 10 years the quality 10 years ago was exemplary. I now can no longer recommend this company or its products as recent backpacks have not lived up to the old products manufactured 10 years ago which I still have and work well.

The quality of the backpacks is now very poor and not long lasting and do not live up to outdoor use

The customer service is indifferent and not supportive

Beware and purchase elsewhere

I Wil never buy from this brand again. Its waste of money. I have now destroyed 2 sleeping mat Down mat 7LW. every time Its a sewing on the same place on the mat its broke first time i get replace on the warranty the produkt are to expensive to Do this. Very disappointed. I have now buy another brand of sleeping mat an excludes the Exped brand for rest of my life time

Exped Luftmatte Synmat 7 LW
Ich habe eine Exped Luftmatte (Synmat 7LW) und kann nur dringend abraten von solchen Matten. Extrem empfindlich und wenn man ein Loch hat, dann war bei mir der Kleber unbrauchbar (schlechte Qualität, war noch unbenutzt und versiegel!!). Für den Preis von rund 200 Euro eine Frechheit. Auch gibt der Hersteller keine Reparatur-Tipps bei Kontaktaufnahme. Man muss sich eins bewusst sein: diese Matten werden in Asien produziert und zu extrem hohen Preisen dann verkauft.
Ich jedenfalls werde nach der zweiten Synmat 7LW mir keine Exped Matte mehr kaufen. Generell werde ich die Marke Exped meiden, auch weil der Service schlecht ist. Am liebsten würde ich 0 Sterne vergeben, leider ist dies nicht möglich...

I see that the website (ww.exped.comenhomepage) is a legit and official website. But they dont have an own webshop, like (ww.exped-store.nl/). This is a scam website. So if you want to buy something of exped search for your local dealer in here (ww.exped.comendealer). So you dont get scammed and get the superbe products of Exped.

Bis jetzt bin ich sehr zufrieden mit ihrem Produkt der megamat 10.
Der Komfort für eine Isomatte ist unglaublich. Das Produkt macht einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Nur die Lagerung ist aufwendiger als gedacht. Zur Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen aber ich werde meine Erfahrung hier updaten.

Super Service!

Neben den tollen Produkten, habt Ihr, sollte doch einmal etwas kaputt gehen, direkt einen Super Service.

Exped hat super Isomatten. Man liegt weich und sie isoliert perfekt. Außerdem ist sie mit grad mal 545g ultra leicht und perfekt für lange Wanderungen oder Weltreisen.
Support ist perfekt. Hatte ein Problem mim Ventil, hab eine Mail geschrieben und konnte die Matte gratis einsenden, sie wurde repariert und mir wieder zurückgeschickt. Ging echt schnell und war unkompliziert. Danke!
