Went to the Kings Lynn centre today as the water wouldn’t come out of my washer for the window wipers. Was looked at straight away, fixed within 20 minutes as luckily it was just a fuse but didn’t charge me for it. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff were very friendly.

The biggest bunch of crooks I have ever had the displeasure to do business with. When they replaced my battery they broke my bonnet catch. After telling me to buy the part as they couldn't order it, their manager Oliver proceeded to go back on the agreement and want to charge me to replace the catch.
When I complained and refused to leave until it was resolved they called the police.
What sort of customer care is that. Don't

We had brakes overheating over New Year and made an appointment for January 2nd. Time was of the essence as we had to pick up a sick grandchild and catch a flight. Formula One was short of staff on the appointment date but was still able to re-organize to get our car fixed by 11am. Saved the day! I had already bought the parts with the intention of replacing the brake calipers myself but with the bad weather couldn't do it. Formula One agreed to use the parts I had already purchased to fix the problem. Great job!

Tom was absolutely fantastic and very informative and helpful when deciding what tyres to put on my wife's car. I have a very busy schedule but F1 were very time efficient and could give a pit crew a run for their money.

I have spent quite a bit of time over the past few weeks at the King's Lynn branch of F1 autocentres. Two cars, both with tracking issues (and a long term repeat MOT customer). Thomas, the manager, ensured great service when things were not straightforward (siezed track rod ends on one car and rear bushes on the other car). On one job he was not 100% happy with the end result so didn't charge until I revisited after getting track rod ends changed, and the other he re-adjusted the tracking after a few hundred miles at zero cost. MOTs always done thoroughally and professionally. Thank you.

Whilst in the waiting room for quite some time over recent weeks I have heard many other customers singing the praises of the King's Lynn team, talking about their honesty, hard work and helpfulness, in stark comparison with other similar local providers.

I heard this first hand yesterday when Thomas explained a complex problem to a lady, answered her questions and gave an honest appraisal of the situation, hoping her arrange a taxi to get home.

I rate highly the King's Lynn Formula One Autocentre and will definitely continue to visit when I need their help. Another MOT in a few weeks time!

Having had a puncture and a new tyre on Friday whilst driving to Norfolk. I then had a warning light flash up on my car dashboard re tyre pressure the next day. Kings Lynn Formula one autocentres was nearby so I called in and the gentleman behind the desk was extremely helpful and checked all the pressures and one tyre did need some air. Very polite and helpful, thank you!

Excellent customer service which went above and beyond to help me while on holiday with my family when other providers were unable to help. Darren and the team moved work around to help fix my problem and kept me informed throughout in regard to time and costs.

Called in today for a puncture repair and the service was absolutely amazing. The guys could not be more helpful, professional and courteous. They even made me a coffee and a super fast efficient job done. Thank you ☺️ you will and are always my first choice 👍

Took my 1999 Hilux Mk4 in 6 weeks before the MOT was due so they could do a pre-check and I could remedy any faults. They identified a number of places on the chassis for welding (they marked them all) and a split drive boot. There were no other issues. They recommended a welder, and I paid £350 for it to be done. They gave me a quotation of £214 for the drive boot, which I accepted, plus the MOT fee, and I booked it for 10th July.

On 10th July they did not contact me to say it had been done. I phoned late afternoon, they were very stressed, said they were short of staff, and could they do it the next morning, to which I agreed. On 11th July they did not contact me, I had to phone at 4pm. They said they had trouble with the drive boot and would charge me for an extra hour (despite having given me a quotation, not an estimate). At 5.17pm I got a call from the MOT tester who said he was going to fail the vehicle because of the LED headlamps. I pointed out to him that they were DOT/SAE stamped units, and that I had checked with a MOT test station before fitting them 18 months ago, and they had confirmed they were fully legal. They had then been passed at the MOT test in 2022. They had also been checked by the branch on 3rd July at the pre-MOT check, and no problems were mentioned, despite the fact that I specifically drew attention to them. The tester then became agitated and started one of those "don't tell me my job" tirades. I said I would come down to the branch. When I arrived, the manager, MOT tester and a mechanic were under the vehicle with a work lamp, obviously looking to see if they could find something else. Sure enough, they said they had found more welding (despite the fact they had not identified it one week before). I told the manager that I did not want the MOT to go ahead, he was very bad tempered and said to me "go and tell him yourself". I pointed out that it was not my job to go into the workshop and give instructions to his staff, so he shouted through an instruction to stop. I then had both the MOT tester and manager getting very agitated and shouty with me, so I said I would not discuss it further, I would simply pay the £214 I had been quoted. The manager demanded £289 and stormed off saying he would retain the vehicle. I pointed out that a quotation given is legally binding, but he ignored me. I therefore felt blackmailed into paying the extra £75, even though I had been given a quotation for the job.

I have used this branch on a number of occasions, and I've been concerned that the manager and staff seemed stressed, short-staffed, and not really experienced in anything more complex than very simple maintenance.

I will not be using them again, and I would recommend others to avoid them.

UPDATE:
F1 Autocentres investigated and, after discussion, admitted that unauthorised work should not have been carried out. One hour labour cost was refunded. The only positive aspect of the situation was that they did respond to my complaint and communicate with me, so I give them credit for that.

Booked a time slot for a brake and clutch fluid exchange. Arrived at the time. Guy on the computer looked blank...told it would take 1-2 hours, (normally takes 30 mins.) 3rd time this has happened either nt ready when I arrived, over booked or made to wait. Pointless booking a timed slot. I should have learned...When I first used the Kings Lynn branch some 5 years ago they were friendly and efficient..but not now

Great service, very helpful team

The staff could not have been more helpful. I was sent to F1 KL by the RAC after having a flat tyre and no locking wheel nut (don’t ask!!).

Rather than making me feel stupid, they did all they could to help me fix the situation and get back me on the road.

The guys had to deal with a very rude and unprofessional RAC person but still put me first as their customer and tried to help as much as they could.

Staff were incredibly patient as every attempt I tried to get back on the road failed. Eventually. A local company saved the day. Got my wheels off and Dave and his team changed my tyres and got me moving again.

These guys were so lovely to me. I did not feel stupid and as a female that’s not always the way that garages make you feel.

I have been going to Formula one for many years now and the staff are friendly and helpful and they get your car back on the road as soon as they can. Would definitely recommend them.
