Formula One Autocentres - Rotherham Avaliações 

Recently had an MOT at the Rotherham branch, told me the brakes needed doing to get it through the test. Quoted £900 for pads, discs, callipers. I took it to another garage for another test, cost me £250 to get it through. They told me it didn’t even need half the parts I was originally quoted for.

1hour 40 minutes to change 2 front tyres and got charged £20 more expensive for one of them when I questioned this all I got was it’s different budget tyres

Rotherham Parkgate branch should be proud of their excellent customer service skills, time keeping and general positivity towards helping sort issues with customers cars. Best garage I’ve been to, making needing to go to garage something to look forward to!

Never going there again I will make sure I can get to the garage I go to at least they know what they are doing

ROTHERHAM (Used on many occasions and always been good value, however over the last 18 months something has changed)
Booked for a service and 4 Tyres in the spring..
..Took the car only to find out the wrong tyres had been delivered, so lost a day off work.( Had a heated chat )
..Had to Cancel the service..
Recently again decided to have a service and air con re-gas..
Took my Car in..
..Was called to say they couldn't re-gas the air cos as they did not have the correct fittings..
However they had done the full service, and found tracking to be slightly out...
( They offered to align for £130)..
..Im no mechanic but to do the tracking is usually around £50..
I declined..
I drive to work 80mile round trip per day, so know every clunk and noise of my car..
( And my car is very well looked after, and drives perfect)
After week I started to feel vibration in the steering, Knocking from the rear suspension, and vibration from the Timing belt, noise from the engine
( Like rattle can- Must have been very poor oil added at service)
..These areas where all "CHECKED" in the service, and passed off..
Im no cynic, but cannot understand how my car drove perfect, had a service at F1 and passed with flying colours..,
(I ended up putting a WYNNS oil additive in, which cured the engine rattle BTW)
Now..4 week later, I am having to take it to another garage to get the faults diagnosed..
If its bad luck, then ok.. I will remove this post,
However I am an engineer, and I have asked my new mechanic to record/video any evidence of
"Bright metal spanner marks" around the areas at fault..
If I find this, then I will take this further..

We have been a customer of the Rotherham branch for a few years and after giving them far too many chances to get things right, the most recent experience was the final straw. My car was booked in for a full service and MOT but after dropping the car off we received a call stating that it wasn’t even booked in, they agreed to do the work. We collected the car, thinking everything was in but on further inspection when arriving home they performed the wrong service booked and was not provided with a copy of my MOT certificate, when calling to query this, we weee informed that no MOT had been done on the vehicle even those the invoice stated I had been charged for it. So the car then had to be taken back to complete the MOT despite that being the main reason for the visit in the first instance.

My Experience with formula one was second to none. Dan who was behind the counter was friendly, approachable, and also knowledgeable, I had both service and MOT done on my car and I will be taking my car back next year

Poor communication
Manager lied
Took excessive time to fix my car following MOT (over 2 hours my car was on the ramps with no one working on it)
Failed to discuss MOT advisories namely 2 rear tyres (one of which apparently had a nail in it!)
Damaged the casing around rear lights when changing the bulb (which the manager missed off the job sheet and blamed the mechanic).
Had my car from 0845 til 1750 the first visit and then a further 3½ hours the second time to replace the reversing switch.
Would not recommend and will not return.
Disappointed in the whole experience.

i used the rotherham branch, and they were very helpful and friendly. kept me up to date and explained everything. will 100% use again.

My wife’s car failed it’s MOT and I was quoted £400 for the remedial works. Luckily I decided to get a couple of quotes to ensure the price was good value. I visited the garage directly next door and was quoted £190 for the exact same works to get the car through its MOT.
Very disappointed….

Don’t know why the Rotherham branch has got bad reviews I arrived on time lovely receptionist car went in ten minutes late but not a problem tyres exactly has ordered pressures correct would definitely use again

Poor management
Poor management, booked in online for aircon in the morning, phoned numerous times but never answered so had to drive down , told to come back in the afternoon, then told to come back at 11am and still waiting to be seen , staff walking about or stood talking, smoking or drinking , my money was taken quick enough though.
It was the manager that finally did the aircon then after watching him wander about talking and smoking whilst it was plugged in he finally came to me at 1.30pm and told me it had a leak but he couldn’t find it , if it was done in the morning as arranged I could have had it checked and repaired “IF” it was leaking which by the look at things I don’t think he could have been bothered to do a proper job , now I have to wait till Monday to try and have it done by a reputable garage,
I will advise anyone not to use
f1 Autocentre.
This is my revew After i had been to a reputable garage. Jordan at Dearne Valey Motors Goldthorpe did all the checks like a proffesional (Dye put through, pressure check etc . the works ) and concluded that the F1 autocentre Manager didnt have a clue how to do the job and my car didnt have a leak at all and the price was half as much as f1 autocentre. Thanks to jordan my car is as cold as syberia ..

Extremely unhelpful my car broke down in their car park due to a dead battery, they don't supply and fit batteries which is fair enough, but they also refused to jump start my car so I could go elsewhere

We regularly change tyres and use kwik fit. But I went against my boss and thought i would give these numpties a try. Do not use as they lie, waste your time. Keep asking you to come back and they don't have the tyres. The depot blames the internet sales. They try to fob you with a cheaper tyre for no extra cost. Ofcourse there is no extra cost as the tyre is cheaper and you have taken a higher amount.

Worst tyre company. They are very unprofessional. I went on the basis of good reviews which must be fake on the whole F1 autocentre business. The Rotherham branch as 0 good reviews.

Never we will go here for tyres.

Went here for our car serviced been coming 5 yrs will not be coming to this place again , they gave us an advisory after the service about a new tyre and other little bits ,we decided to get the tyre from another garage which was £40 cheaper as we’d already paid out £500 for the service .About 5 wks later was taking granddaughter back home we heard a knocking while in motorway we thought we’d got a flat tyre but when we got off the motorway the tyres looked ok , went to work the next day and got a friend to Jack up the car the rear wheel was loose due to 3 nuts they’d tighten properly 1 nut only finger tight and 1 of the other nuts had sheared off with the thread . Rang formula 1 up they said to bring it down to them . They said car had be tampered with cos we’d got another tyre but that was the front one not the rear one and he said the hand brake had been adjusted???Nothing had be done to the hand brake or the car tampered with !! All we wanted was for them to take responsibly for what could have to turned out to be a serious accident with my family in the car but instead he practically called me a liar !! Got it sorted myself and cost £11 . Customer care at this garage is diabolical and I won’t be returning

So I booked my car in for 4 new tyres online arrived at the Rotherham site to be told they had sold 2 off them that morning and that I wouldn't get any fitted until Monday no offer of replacement tyres so asked about a refund and was told to contact Internet sales but wouldn't be sorted until today I ended up going elsewhere and the service was better with them than at formula one autocentre
