Beware of leaving your animals at Faaram court kennels and catery in Swansea
I have used these kennels for the past 10 years and was shocked to discover on my return to pick up my dogs the full bag of treats I had left in reception 10 days previously still there.
I asked the receptionist and she replied they are not your treats and they are waiting to be picked up by someone else.
Problem was I had duct taped my dogs names on the 9 bags of treats and their names had clearly been ripped off all the packets but the duct tape remained.
I spoke to the owner of the kennels regarding my concerns and her answer shocked me.
She said she only gives the boarding dogs pedigree chum treats and do not give the other brands of treats that the owners bring in to the dogs.
I assumed that my dogs were getting the treats I took in for them and clearly labelled.
At no time over the 10 years have I been told or read that the treats that are taken in for your dog are not the treats they re given.
I asked the owner what happens to the hundreds of bags of treats I and other paying clients have handed over in good faith and she could not answer me.
We leave our animals in the trust and care of others at kennels when we go away etc and we need to have 100% trust.that they are being looked after.
My trust in these kennels has gone.If they are deceitful in what happens with the treats that are fetched in ( nothing advertised on their website or in main reception to say that the treats given over are not used) Makes me wonder What else are they being deceitful about.
I asked the owner for a full refund of my dogs stay given the hundreds of pounds I have spent on their treats over the past 10years and we would part company amicably.she at first agreed and then went back on her word for the full refund.i have 0% trust in Farram court kennels now.just a foot note to say its not and never has been about getting my money back as i will donate the award to llys nini a local dogs charity in swansea and post here the date and amount so anyone can check with the dogs charity the donation has been made if the claim goes my way or the kennels settles before hearing
