The whole experience was amazing

The whole experience was amazing, in particular Rehmat Awan was exceptionally helpful, kind and just a very lovely person. His service was 11 out of 10. He deserves a pay rise. :)

£35 pizza for Lunch at the Fairmont :O

We stayed at the Fairmont in Dubai at the Palm (Nikeel Area). The are has scaled so much since 2023 where the beach side was almost empty and now the area is buzzing of new restaurants, clubs and other amenities. The cleanliness was okay at the hotel. But the breakfast and dinners were excellent qulaity, the chefs are extremely good there. I would say the food was better than the Atlantis at the Palm. The staff at the breakfast and dinner were slower than expected comparing to our visit 2 years ago. We ordered a pizza at lunchtime one of the days and no where mentioned the prices of this. An 8 slice margarita came to £35, if I had known the price I would never have ordered this especially the poor quality that it was.

Fairmont Ajman Amazing if they fix the soft drinks issue

The best, most amazing hotel in Ajman. One little flaw...

This hotel is stunning. The service was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Fab!

Our deluxe room was fantastic. Ocean view, spacious, freestanding bath and walk-in shower! We had an issue with the AC and had to change rooms which was a bit of a nuisance but it was handled seamlessly, speedily and hassle free. The room was cleaned every day and stocked with bottles of water. We got a gorgeous cake for my husbands birthday which was a lovely touch!

The staff cannot do enough for you here. The restaurant staff are lovely and genuine and take the time to chat and get to know you. Rachel and Elizabeth were the best!! The food was lovely, good variety and even lobster! I'm not one for seafood but it seemed to be a hit.

The guys at the front of house were so lovely, chatty, helpful and so genuine. Reception couldn't do enough for us with speedy responses. We didn't have to wait for anything!

The pool and beach are great! The pool didn't get the sun in the morning but only until about 10am. The beds on the pool and beach are so cosy, lovely large towels, 4 of them! Our beds were ready for us every morning, facing the sun, brolly down.. just how we liked it, by the amazing Akash! He absolutely made our holiday and deserves recognition!! Thank you Akash.

The pool staff and lifeguards were fab, very attentive. I seen a couple of instances of bad parenting that could have gone very wrong so I was glad the guards were on the ball!

Now the one negative... I loved the pool bar. All staff were great, speedy service! We went All inclusive so all good but if you wanted soft drinks, Pepsi, 7up, fruit juices etc at the pool bar, they were served room temperature (94 degrees), they were just standing out on the bar all day. However, if you were paying for your drinks as you go, then you got cold drinks from the fridge! This astounded me as we are all paying guests and deserve cold drinks! The water and beer were cold but I was shocked at the soft drinks and mixer service. Blatant discrimination to AI guests. This is not right or fair. We came back from Abu Dhabi so hot and tired and we got in the pool and wanted a nice cold drink, I was served roasting hot Fanta Orange!! Even with ice, it was awful. When I questioned it and asked for a cold one, I was told ONLY the paying guests got cold! So we were served from bottles and cartons that are standing on the counter all day in the blistering heat!! These were also used in the cocktails so not the best. This is easily fixed and I don't see how a 5* hotel is getting away with it! Ruined the days a bit for me, hence my lower score. I know it may seem petty to some but it was a bit shocking and unnecessary. If the hotel fixed this, it would be perfect.

The hotel is on the beach in a great spot. Its immaculate and I loved my stay. Ajman is the best. I liked it more than Dubai. It's more calming and way cheaper than Dubai and it has a lovely, relaxing feel to it.

I'll definitely return to Ajman and to this hotel (if they sort the soft drinks issue... put them in the fridge!).

AVOID AT ALL COSTS ST ANDREWS FAIRMONT

Avoid at all costs, after booking our stay for our engagement weekend, I cannot say everything went to plan at this hotel.

The customer service shown by the assistant front office manager Coleen and General manager Kai Winkler has been appalling at best. After my partner taking unwell during the stay with us having to cut the stay with hotel short, I am yet to receive a partial refund for the unused night with now my email communications to both Coleen and Kai going unanswered. The third party booking site has also confirmed to myself that the Fairmont staff have now stopped responding to their chase enquiry’s also. For the amount of expense outlaid for this stay you are better off elsewhere within the St Andrews area. Late room check in, having to chase staff for pre planned surprises for my fiancée to be and miscommunication on the staff tried to charge myself twice for the stay.

Shame on your staff for ruining what was supposed to be a special weekend and continuing to cause stress even afterward of the stay.

Fairmont St Andrews

Booked an afternoon tea for three at The Fairmont and the service was awful. By the time our sandwiches arrived the tea was cold and the sandwiches were stale it seemed as if they had been sitting out all day. Took another 40 minutes before anyone even decided to bring our next course but by then we decided we did not want to continue. The Manager was very apologetic and asked me to email a complaint to the Hotel, which I did. I got a reply to say someone would be in touch within 72 hours and I am still waiting. I did not want to review negatively on here and was willing to wait on a response from the Hotel. I could not recommend this afternoon to anyone.

Fairmont Monte Carlo is brilliant!

Just had the worst thing happen with the sudden passing of a family member, can't tell how wonderful Fairmont Monte Carlo have been. Our family are so grateful for the understanding and kindness shown. Special praise for Magalie who sorted it all so efficiently for us.

Fairmont Windsor was Beautiful

From when we arrived at the hotel, the staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. Our room was absolutely amazing and cannot be faulted in any way. It was immaculate.

The hotel decor along with the grounds were beautiful, I wish it was a warmer day so we could have enjoyed the terrace.

We had lunch in the bar by the real fire, the lobster and prawn roll was delicious. In the evening we ate a moreish, this meal was just OK and probably the weakest part of our stay.

We visited The library bar after our meal and the decor is beautiful and cosy.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy the spa but will hopefully get to next time as I would definitely visit again.

Well done to the Fairmont Windsor team, you are doing an amazing job.

perfekt hotel

Recently stayed at fairmont dubai it was perfekt really good breakfast buffet great room service and the pool was great. would recommend.

Fairmont Makkah

I recently stayed at Fairmont Makkah kaaba view junior suite . Very pleasant stay with extremely polite and helpful staff esp Jamal who received me before checking in at concierge and was there to see me off with getting a taxi to train station. It was half board with plenty of choices for food selection in bkfst n dinner . Fresh made pasta n omelette stations within buffet’s floor. Staff here again was eager to help out and cater for my hot drink choices. Alhamdullilah very beneficial umrah trip and besides my ibaadah people i interacted with at fairmont hotel , made it extra special .

Few suggestions for some improvements.
My kaaba view suite was only partial visibility with being on lower floors and towers covering kaaba partly . Maybe that’s something that needs to be looked at .
Wifi is almost unusable being extremely slow . I had to rely on my own data .
Lifts as previously reviewed can be made more efficient. They are slow n indication when it gets to your floor is so low that you can easily miss opened doors as they are mirrored and bell is quiet.

Staying in Gold suite in Ramadan, will update more then

Disappointing Experience at the Fairmont Hotel, Holetown

We arrived in Barbados a few days early for a wedding and decided to stay at the Fairmont Hotel in Holetown. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected.

After a long and delayed flight from London, we were looking forward to a relaxing dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. However, the service was extremely slow. It took the waitstaff nearly 10-15 minutes just to bring us the menu, and the food took an unreasonably long time to arrive, despite there being only five tables occupied.

The hotel itself is tired and in desperate need of renovations. The room rate was nearly $700, including hidden taxes, even though it was the off-season. For that price, we were shocked that they only provided one bottle of drinking water in the room. When we asked the manager about it, we were told that additional water could be found at dispensers by the pool area—hardly a convenient solution.

Service throughout our stay was consistently poor. The staff at check-in were unfriendly and lacked basic hospitality. The receptionist was particularly rude and didn’t even offer a smile.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The high price, outdated facilities, and subpar service do not justify staying here. There are better options in Barbados that offer much better value money.

Disappointing Fairmont hotel experience

After looking forward to visiting the Sunday Brunch at Fairmont we left a bit disappointed. Low star mark is for service only the food was excellent. We sat down at 13:30 and ordered a cocktail and a sprite. Twenty minutes later the Sprite arrived. At 14:35 the first cocktail arrived after asking one of the servers 3 times where the cocktail was and seemed a bit irked we kept asking. Eventually we had to order double drinks as it was taking so long. Twice we were served the wrong main meal and on observations we kept seeing the same server wandering aimlessly with people’s meals in his hand not sure who he was serving. Then once finished we got up and looked for somewhere to pay, nobody seemed to be running the floor. We went upstairs to reception then back downstairs to front desk and asked who we paid. Eventually man came up and asked what table we were at in which we had to point this out to him.

We spend over $6,000 during Christmas…

We spend over $6,000 during Christmas Holiday and accumulated several points, only to find out they’ve suddenly expired without notice. Their Loyalty Program is less than Loyal. I will never stay in an Accor Hotel again, as I think their practices are deceptive and cunning!

Fairmont Ajman… hugely disappointing

Not sure where to start… from flat bubbly that was allegedly ‘just opened’… to the room service waiter telling me not to add a tip to the bill as that goes to the hotel and not to him…. and now they ring me to ask me to go to the pool bar (that’s already closed) to pay for what I’d previously signed for on my room because they seemingly didn’t pre approve enough for the extortionate prices when I arrived!!! I’m literally 4 days in having eaten very little and 1000 AED has already run out!! I’ve been coming here since 2015 but this might well be my last visit!!! I went to the pool bar earlier to get a coffee… I was told (and I mean told, not asked) to go back to my sun bed and she’d come to me… half an hour passed and no sign… fortunately the pool lifeguard, one of whom I’ve got to know over the years, noticed and reminded them!! All Inclusive has taken over and might well be the future for the hotel but they need to advertise it as such… it’s definitely not a 5 star hotel anymore! Not even close. And it definitely doesn’t cater for the ‘non AI’ guests. The rooms are fabulous but the mini bar is an empty fridge and there’s no crockery or glasses, just paper cups, an ice bucket and a bottle opener! Although to this day I’ve never found where to get any ice from. The towels have gone from being nice & fluffy to old & tatty by comparison. It’s almost as if it doesn’t know what it wants to be anymore. The pool has tiles missing and when I arrived the water was cloudy… today there’s all sorts floating in it… I’m trying not to imagine what. I’m told there’s a new general manager who’s made changes but if there are… they’re not clear nor are they positive ones that I can see!! I think it might be the end of an era for me, which is really sad… this used to be my happy place!! I have 2 days left of my solo week in the sun to recharge and it’s feeling less relaxing and a bit fore stressful than it needs to be!!

Had a wonderful stay at Fairmont Quasr…

Had a wonderful stay at Fairmont Quasr Istanbul. It was the perfect place to recover and relax after surgery. The business lounge was amazing and we would like to thank the wonderful 'Seven ' for his hospitality and warmth during our stay. We will see you on our next visit.

Had another excellent stay at Fairmont…

Had another excellent stay at Fairmont hotel in St Andrews Scotland, was my friends 60th birthday and I had booked 2 rooms for her two daughters as well, chocolates and bottle of proseco were in our bedroom when we arrived, my friend was just delighted. Staff and service is certainly 5 star, will be back again soon

I made my reservation at Makkah clock…

I made my reservation at Makkah clock tower for a deluxe Haram view and we I arrived they gave me a dirty room with partial Haram view. Was told to have a full view, I need to pay extra 2000SAR per night. Complained through Accor and told that someone from the hotel will contact me but did not happen. Secondly, they told me that they do not honour loyalty program unless you book through them.

Une Arnaque

J'ai réservé deux jours au Fairmont Richelieu qui se présente comme un Palace: Hotel avec une décoration du siècle dernier, sombre. Restauration désastreuse (Des frites servies avec un tagine!) avec deux heures pour un plat et une musique de supermarché! Chambres dignes d'un deux, voire trois étoiles mais pas au niveau: Frigidaire vide, pas d'eau de courtoisie, pas de chaussons, aucune "amenities", service d'étage très limité, aucun service de blanchisserie (on nous a indiqué un Lavomatic a 35km!!) .

Exceptional Fairmont Quassar - İstanbul -

Recently stayed at the Fairmont İstanbul for 12 night. Everything was perfect, the concierge, breakfast team, cleaners all the staff!!

The room was spacious, comfortable bed, nice terrace and the gym is one of the best I’ve ever used in a hotel. Would definitely recommend staying

Fantastic staff who work great under pressure. Everything was spotless, nothing was a bother. They have beutiful big rooms, comfortable beds, big showers and a bath tub in each room.

Do not work at the Fairmont Hotel…

Do not work at the Fairmont Hotel Macdonald in Edmonton unless you want to be worked to the bone. It is a skeleton crew all of the time, Every employee is spread way too thin and they just throw a pizza party to make them feel better for basically selling their soul to this hotel. This hotel smells like sewer all of the time, the air is unfit to breathe and makes all of the employees in the basement sick like sewer rats. They do not change anything in management and the employees are constantly mad and will be passive to all of their guests because of it. Not a pleasant place to stay, not a pleasant place to waste money and it is most definitely not a pleasant place to work. Steer clear of this hotel at all costs, unless you want to walk out of it smelling like a sewer.
