i am very ill with me/cfs long covid, pots and bed bound i had, had to leave my job when i applied for pip in oct 24 and i was turned down i did the mandatory reconsideration myself and turned down i decided to try fight back thank goodness i did i had to wait until june 2026 for my video tribunal which the dwp attended luckily Michelle from fight back attended and was able to make valid points for me, due to my severe brain fog i was worried i would nt be able to make my points or handle the paperwork questions she was a very professional and a calming presence, safe to say i won the tribunal daily living and mobility, it’s such a relief i cried. thank you fight back

After an operation I had went horribly wrong I was left to pick up the pieces without any support. I went through PALS to get answers and help but let down.
A slow road to recovery and applied for Financial help from DWP for my Increased costs due to the injuries and illness.

The process was extremely stressful. The response back contained untruths from the private company DWP used. I was declined due to the untruths.
I was able to easily show DWP it was incorrect apologised but it was worrying the untruths happened. I was offered PIP for 2 years.

When it was due for renewal this year, the stress was even worse this time. The hoops to jump, the paperwork needed, the research, the collection of evidence, I decided I just couldn't do it.

I'd been following Fightback on Facebook for a month after were recommended to me.
I got in touch without much expectation, I thought I'd given up. I joined their VIP service (even tho standard is free) as it was only £11.99 and gave me extra support which I felt I needed.

Well I was blown away! I was contacted really quickly, told what to expect, how they can help, what they can take off my hands. It took away any ambiguity.

A call was booked in with an advisor to help create the response to DWP by asking me the questions and my answers put on the form exactly. Worded without my waffle! Facts not feelings and really professional.

Only a week later it was all done, two copies of the document in post to me. With even a video showing me how to ensure it is signed, put in the envelope and advice on the type of postage.
I sent one copy off to DWP and within 2 weeks DWP replied to say they approve the claim and for 6 years.

None of this would have happened if I tried myself. I wouldn't have put myself through it again.

Quick thank you to everyone at fightback who have helped me massively over the last 12 months with my PIP claim. From Hayleys advice on claiming, Caroline filling out forms for me when I was too overwhelmed to do it myself to all their advice on doing a mandatory reconsideration myself after only getting Mobility originally and then all their advice help and support to take it all the way to appeal. Even having Michelle sitting in video call with me. It was all too much for me to take on myself and everyone at fightback were absolutely amazing with their knowledge and help. My anxiety was so heightened leading up to today's appeal hearing I dont think I would have got through it all without their help. I have now been awarded standard rate care and mobility (care side back dated to May 2025) sorry if ive missed out names of others from fightback who I've spoken to recently. You guys really are amazing

The service from Fightback has been outstanding. From my first Initial enquiry, the staff were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. My award was downgrade to standard, after receiving it for over 20 years. After having help and guidance for my claims I obtained help and advice from Hayley for a friend whom had been getting deducted money every month for a spare room although the room was used for a non residential carer 3 times a week anyway I submitted the reasoning and special circumstances and she was awarded 12 months back payments and removed of the bedroom tax deduction these people are good at what they do and should be awarded more without the knowledge and know how we would be in a detrimental situations and there guidance helps us navigate a little smoothly thus the reasoning I remain a VIP client for future scenarios keep it up team FIGHTBACK :-)

What a fantastic organisation! A small team who provide big support. The staff helped me with my disability forms, and were there step by step with information, support and advice. I wasn’t well enough to go through the process of filling in my disability forms. I randomly found the organisation on Facebook, and they supported me with phone calls, emails, and filling out my forms for me. Most of their advice and support is free as well! Can’t recommend enough!

Every member of Fightback is amazing. From the first time I needed them to help me apply for PIP a few years ago until now as I have had to apply for ESA limited capability for work they have been helpful, patient, supportive and professional. They went above and beyond what I imagined and I can never thank them enough. They guided me through the PIP forms every step of the way and I was awarded enhanced PIP for both daily living and motability.
I am now no longer able to work because of my health issues and they have done exactly the same for my ESA - I have been placed into the ESA support group.
I cannot recommend this team highly enough. I felt supported and safe and I knew they were right there making sure I never felt alone! I am petrified of DWP but with this team behind me I didn’t have to worry! Their knowledge is brilliant and I always recommend them to anyone needing help in this area!

Fightback helped me understand what information is required for each question as I was getting confused with different aspects of my conditions. They listened to me get upset at not being believed and gave me confidence to appeal. Although my claim didn't get to appeal as it was changed this week after a further health assessment. I would recommend Fightback to help as the DWP and health practitioner doing assessments do not always understand your illnesses.

On the 9th of April, I received the text to say decision has been made. I logged on to my gov account and I have kept my enhanced on both daily living and mobility component until April 2032. I am a vip member and also paid for the filling in form service. Caroline helped complete my form on the 10th of March. Form was received by DWP on 18th march.
Thank you Caroline the way you completed the form was spot on and written so well. I cannot explain the relief of been awarded again. Thank you so much for all that you do.

Joined the "VIP" cost me money I couldnt afford but was told I "Had a very good chance / case" despite only getting a few points. Foolishly also subscribed. While contacting them they didnt do much at all, they gave links of prev cases etc which didnt really help me. Basically just told me to do all the work gather all evidence myself which I could have easily just done myself. Was told to do a man recon and thats it, (paid £100+ for the man recon service which was sent with other peoples names still contained within it and passages that weren't relevant to my case at all. When I pointed this out to them I got nothing back as a way of apology / explanation etc. The Man recon was rejected with no extra points. Was told to put appeal in again had to do the vast majority of work myself. Had an email asking if I had sent med records which the doctor had done but they hadn't checked properly in their emails these were asked for again later.

Again as the money and stress / anxiety and depression were mounting I asked is it worthwhile going for appeal in which they said yes.....again more money was spent......plus a actual £105 for someone to be on the call to support me which basically invovled them asking me one question. they didnt make any supportive comments at the end when asked....might as well not bothered. More money wasted. Despite contantly reassuring me I had a very good case, my appeal didnt change a damn thing not even an increase of points .....they say they have been doing this for many years....Personally I think they knew my case was weak but I was left feeling quite confident of the outcome. When the appeal was subsequently rejected the Laywer Michelle emailed and again didnt seem to be aware of what I had actually sent in and told them! complete nightmare. During the case they called out of the blue to ask me to send in evidence which added to my stress, sometimes very abrupt over the phone despite me having put in my supporting evidence phonecalls were a trigger. Overall a very dissapointing service and a waste of money from people they are supposedly helping I came out of this more stressed more depressed just feel totally mislead through the whole sorry episode, I emailed Michelle I think shes the founder and got nothing back. Seems they dont want to know when theres no more money they can request...was dropped like a stone
