You’ve got to be able try things out - this place does that!!
The sales person, Julian, couldn’t have been more helpful. No hard sell, just timely and objective advice, which he matched to the things we told him were important. We’d never thought of an air bike - but he suggested we look, and it is perfect for us. We would never have known if we hadn’t had the chance to go to a store, chat to a knowledgeable guy and try different things out! Great service and knowledge
I really only came as I passed it while working in Tunbridge Wells to compare prices on a bar and dumbbell set I’d seen in Argos. Richard and Chris were extremely helpful with advice about a much better set which I could use to get me started on my journey to start toning up, and add to in the future as I progress. They were both very pleasant, engaging, knowledgeable and encouraging. I ordered a great set at very reasonable money and I will definitely be back, top boys!

Great knowledge
Spoke to and dealt with Chris in the Tunbridge Wells store. I went in looking for a comparison between budget, mid-range and top-end running machines. Chris knew the answer to every question I had and was more than happy to walk me through the differences and let me properly test each machine.
There was no pressure at all — just really helpful, knowledgeable advice. I’m really happy with my purchase and wouldn’t hesitate to come back to Chris when I’m ready to buy my next piece of fitness equipment.

Excellent store - service impeccable!
Visited Fitness Superstore in Tunbridge Wells for the first time to make enquiries about a treadmill. What an amazing store with a wide variety of equipment. We met the store manager Ricky who showed us various models and explained in detail the differences in size, model and functionality. He was very knowledgeable and what we loved was that there was no pressure. Definitely worth visiting!

Fitness Superstore - Poor sales communications
Fitness Superstore Order 12118844 – Tunbridge Wells
I visited the Tunbridge Wells store to buy a beginner treadmill for my 14-year-old daughter. The store was quiet and I was the only customer present, with two members of staff available, so I expected the sales process to be careful and accurate. Although my original budget was around £600, I decided to purchase the Volta model for £899 based on the advice given.
Unfortunately, several issues after purchase left me disappointed.
1. Discount discrepancy
I was told there would be a 10 percent discount, but when the invoice was produced only 5 percent had been applied.
2. Missing item from invoice
I clearly confirmed that I wanted a treadmill mat and paid the total shown on the card machine. I also asked for a paper invoice at the time, which was declined with the assurance it would be emailed. When the invoice arrived, the mat was not included. After I called, the only suggestion was to postpone delivery, which I declined because we needed the machine urgently. This should have been checked properly before payment was taken.
3. Misleading assembly advice
I specifically asked about installation but was told the treadmill could be assembled in around 30 minutes. In reality, the unit weighs about 150kg and required more than an hour with a handyman. The setup was far more complex than described.
Delivery timing and logistics communication were fine. However, given that I was the only customer in the store and there were two staff members assisting, these avoidable errors were particularly disappointing, which is why I am leaving a one-star review.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations. We have attempted to contact you by phone to discuss your concerns and work towards a resolution, but unfortunately have been unable to reach you.
You highlighted three key areas, and we would like to address each one clearly below:
1. Discount Offered
During our conversation, there may have been some misunderstanding around the 10% discount. Our promotional offers do change regularly, and when we checked the system before placing your order, the unit was already discounted.
I apologised at the time and offered an additional 5% discount, which was applied to your purchase.
2. Receipt & Floor Mat
You requested a printed receipt; we offered to email it instead, and you agreed. This was sent promptly after you left the showroom.
We acknowledge that we made an error by not adding the floor protection mat to your order, which meant you were not charged for it. You contacted us the following day after 16:00, at which point your delivery had already been dispatched.
We apologised immediately and offered to send a mat to you free of charge as a gesture of goodwill, but this was declined as you explained the treadmill would be too heavy to move once delivered.
We also suggested delaying the delivery to allow the mat to arrive beforehand, but this option was also declined.
3. Assembly and Weight of the Treadmill
During your visit, we always try to explain packaging, assembly steps, and provide guidance. The Volta treadmill typically takes around 30 minutes to assemble.
We also offered our installation service, which you declined, mentioning that your handyman would be assembling the unit.
Regarding the weight, your review stated the unit weighs about 150kg. For clarity:
Boxed weight: 103kg
Assembled weight: 90kg
We appreciate that even at 90kg, it can still feel heavy.
